It's not the final game yet so the finalist hasn't been confirmed.There is still going to be another round that will determine who will be at the final. But with the way I'm seeing things, it's going to be Newcastle united and Liverpool that will make it to the final. Tottenham just missed their opportunity of going to the final by just winning Liverpool by one goal. This is not going to be enough to stop Liverpool from winning them when they visit Anfield. Arsenal have a chance though, but the possibility of them progressing at Newcastle is very unlikely. Credit should be given to Newcastle for the way they succeed in shutting down Liverpool from scoring. The second leg is definitely going to be tough for both teams, but Liverpool playing from home will be a big advantage.

Isn't there still the 2nd leg? So Arsenal and Liverpool still have a chance to change the situation, especially for Liverpool whose 2nd leg will take place at Anfield unlike Arsenal who have to play at Newcastle's home ground.
It was quite disappointing to see Liverpool lose, because I thought they would win even though it wouldn't be easy, but the core players who were fielded were not enough to break through Tottenham's goal, it seems that Ange Postecoglou learned from his previous crushing defeat to Liverpool so they succeeded in suppressing their opponent.

You don’t find big teams being at their best in this sort of competition, that you know. However, being too elite teams, you would have expected more but, Liverpool is reserving that for the EPL maybe. Still, they had some good chances in this game and took some loosed shots from a distance. Like Gakpo did, I wonder what he was thinking. Been a while I saw Diaz being threatening, he had some clear chance at goal and like he usually is, missed them.

They got lucky with the Solanke close offside goal.
What was that with the referee announcing his decision over the speakers. What do you guys think about that? Is it really cool or it’s over done and we don’t need that in football.

I thought these matches were one match, when I saw your article it turned out that the semi-final matches were played as two matches, I checked and saw that they were played as two matches.

Liverpool is the most successful team so far and I think they still have a chance to make it to the final and the second match will be played on February 6th. If there are no major injuries by then, Liverpool are the biggest candidate for the final. Even if they lose the match 1-0 today, I think they are big favorites against Tottenham.

No body expected Tottenham to win today against Liverpool. Tottenham always has ups and downs this season but they finally made a big win but i doubt they will able to through even with an advantage. I dont think they can pull two good matches against Liverpool. Really good game with lots of chances on both sides and a really small result. Tottenham is never closer to winning a title.

Liverpool might crash out of the Carabao Cup after losing to Tottenham Hotspur and I kept wondering why Liverpool didn't lose against Man UTD and win this game against Tottenham? Same thing happened to Arsenal, playing a draw and losing to Newcastle and this might be the final from how I see it Liverpool vs Arsenal, both teams are going to come back hard on their opponent but for the Arsenal side I dislike how they handle their game against Newcastle, it was too poor.
For Liverpool it seems they're gradually losing that strength they do put in games they play, like they're becoming weak even the game against Man UTD they weren't that fast as they used to be. Meanwhile Bergvall was supposed to have been booked for a second yellow card for one clumsy challenge he had against a Liverpool player two minutes ago before he scored that goal, the Liverpool assistance coach had to raise an eyebrow on that incident while telling the match assistant referee outside concerning the wrong decision the center referee took and how it has turn around to affect Liverpool, the center referee saw that action by the assistant coach and show him a yellow card immediately.

The truth is that, Liverpool had a hard luck to score, ordinarily they played fantastically well, i believe they even had more ball possession more than Tottenham, but they weren't just lucky to have a goal. Maybe when Liverpool play them in the second leg at Anfield, the result might be a bit different from today's own.

For reasons only known to Arteta, he's only focused on strengthening his defence. His midfield and attack is not balanced. The left side of the attack doesn't function well and the right is dead without Saka, but he doesn't care about that.
Theres no creativity in the midfield aside from Odergaard but Arteta isn't bordered about that.
I understand that defence is good, but no matter how good the defence is, they can win you trophies if your midfield cant keep balls and your attack isn't lethal.
They don't have a prolific goals scorer and now there interested in Araujo of Barcelona, Another central defender. I don't see the plan here. Getting quality defenders is good, but defence isn't the only part of the field that needs reinforcing.
