First of all, this week is week 17 in the Eredivisie and not week 20. Half a match has not yet taken place in this league, meanwhile the intensity of title race in this league is getting higher, especially for ranks 2 to 4. PSV is comfortably at the top of the standings, that's because they have 42 points, 6 points different from Ajax & Utrecht who are ranked 2nd & 3rd in the Eredivisie.

The Eredivisie brings a lot of actions this weekend again, it getting intense already as every point in the league now matters. The round 17 begins today with just one match to play, then tomorrow 4 matches to be played and on Sunday 4 matches also. The super Sunday bring a derby match as PSV takes on Feyenoord. This fixture always decide how the season is going to be and who will be champion for the season.

Ajax have first defeat in ten games against Real Sociedad with their performance was not bad but still they are now having good consistency which is helping them for having good results now in coming 21 days we have 7 games which is surely workload for their players, but they have to give their best for keeping them hot and at the top level.

Hosting Lazio and Alkmaar is surely tough job but as they are having improvement we can expect from them to be done good job and bring good fight in second half of the season while things could be not easy with few teams are surely on good level and improving which will be give them challenge this season is surely could be good after sometime with few teams are giving quality performance.

We are currently in 83rd minute of the match between Nijmegen vs Ajax as we have double strike from Weghorst for Ajax after they conceded early goal from Nijmegen through Hansen things are looking positive for Ajax as they are trying to catch leaders PSV with their performance while now they have 32 points from 13 games.



Ajax now back in business while they are doing good job in Europa League and having good chance of staying into top ranks Eredivisie teams performance was good in this round even we have defeat for the Ajax against Real Sociedad, but they are still had good chance this could be important win for them while they are going to host second spotted Utrecht in midweek game which will bring them to the second spot.

After playing fourteen matches this season, PSV has now been able to collect 39 points with a fairly large gap with its rivals in the standings. This is really quite amazing for PSV because the team can be very comfortable to continue to be at the top of the Eredivise standings until the middle of this season and even until the end of the season if PSV can continue to win non-stop in the upcoming matches. Utrecht team has not played its fourteenth match while Ajax has also only played twelve matches so Ajax will try to win today's match in order to occupy the second position in the standings. Because in the fourteenth week, Ajax and Utrecht will meet each other in a match which will be held at Ajax's home ground.

I personally cannot see Ajax recovering all the way to PSV and we all know that Ajax dominated almost 1 decade the Eredivise and I think it's time for their football to flurish again with some other teams like PSV , Alkmaar and Feyernoord. That's why , I do believe this year PSV will be champions once again and go back 2 back because right now they do have the best team , they do have the best players and they also have the 1st position with a very comfortable advantage over 2nd place and 10 points over Ajax who are on 3rd place.

Referring to the match statistics, there is no doubt that PSV still dominates the Eredivise and there is no other team this season that is on the same level as them. They have scored 50 goals which I think is fantastic. On the other hand, they have only conceded 11 goals. This shows that PSV plays aggressively but they still have a solid defense. I think there is no other team that can be their rival this season. If we talk about the Eredivise, it seems that we should only talk about the second place. So far, Ajax, Utrecht and Feyenoord still have the same chance to finish in second place.

We shouldn’t just think of Ajax in the Dutch League. Utrecht, one of the surprise teams of this year, also has a single defeat. Feyenoord also continues with 1 defeat. What made PSV the leader was 12 wins in 13 matches. Other teams are ranked according to the number of draws. PSV Eindhoven continues on its way to finish the year as the leader without making any mistakes. Ajax is trying to take the championship from a very difficult opponent. The same goes for Feyenoord. We can say that this year, PSV will most likely be the champion.

Utrecht is rightfully an underdog in both of those games for a good reason. They currently occupy the 2nd place but that's unlikely to last for very long. If you look at their games, you'll see that oftentimes Utrecht failed to dominate the game but did just about enough to grab a minimal win (luck was also a factor). Their last game against Feyenoord (so a team from the Big Three) was very telling. They lost 2-0 at home and only managed to make one shot on target.
I don't expect Utrecht to stay in the top 3 byt the end of the season. They'd be happy if they ended up 4th, which would be their best result in many years. They've been very consistent in finishing in 6th or 7th place.

They all played well by winning, the standings are still there and there is no change but at the beginning of next month we will see Utrecht vs PSV and after that Utrecht will have postponed match against Ajax, clearly this will be very interesting because all three are competing with each other and of course the two match can make Utrecht slip from 2nd place if they lose or just end in draw.
My prediction is that the match between Utrecht vs PSV will be won by PSV even though with narrow score because they are playing away and for the match Utrecht vs Ajax it is clear that Ajax will win with their advantage on paper as the host and so Ajax can occupy 2nd place for the standings.

This is an impressive results from Ajax and to think they weren't the dominant side in this game but still won, ordinarily I would say PSV would win because since this season they have really  been if an impressive performance and had even won several games which had kept them at the to of the tab again this season and most persons already thinking that they will win the league title again this season, this was a well utilized opportunity for ajax which i know that they may not get again this season as I want to believe after now, PSV would definitely want to make up for this loss by putting the required effort they will need.

On the other hand, we are not losing much and constantly, I must say that the coach is to be congratulated, but we are still not at the top of the table, I'm talking about first place, we are still 6 points behind the leader of the table and knowing that PSV will hardly lose the games, we need to continue winning all the games ahead and pray hard that PSV at least loses in 2 games and we manage to become champions, in football the only thing that matters is winning titles. I know we have to congratulate the coach for winning games, but at the end of the league when he doesn't achieve anything, everything he did won't have much value.

Better is an understatement, there games this season is very much interesting and topnotch, they have been able to up there games, they are no longer the Lapses Ajax of last season, ajax last season underperformance made the league look very boring to me because there was no serious team to seriously compete with PSV, though we have seen the like of AZakmar but i dont still see their matches as impressive as that of the ajax we use to know, qm hoping to see ajax in the champions league next season.

Since some seasons back, Psv has been doing very great, I somuch love their pattern of play, currently they are occupying the first position and there League standings followed by Utrecht and AJax coming third but the way am seeing it, ajax is going to go up to occupy the second position reason being that the gap difference is just 2 that's 31 for Utrecht and 29 for ajax, ajax zeal to make a difference is whats making me not to doubt them, as for is to giving the title, we wouldn't know for now because it's not yet clear but the 3 teams up will not be giving any other team the chance come in, Psv 5 points difference against Utrecht and 7 against ajax is not much since the league is still in it's early stage, though anything possible but see how thing turn out to be

Yeah this is finally the Ajax I have missed to watch.    They just need to improve their scoring more than this to bring back the old days completely. Other than that they don't make simple point losses often anymore.

They are doing good not only in the Eredivisie of course. I can't overlook the work they have done in the Europa League so far at the same time. They are one of the best teams there currently.

They just don't lose that easy by the way. Farioli has managed the team in 22 games and there is only 1 loss among those. That's incredible!    He is making a huge difference.

Ajax has really improved greatly and i like their resilience because it's not easy for a team that experienced severe flops last season to just bounce back stronger as Ajax did, even in the Europa league, their performance is awesome as they are currently in the second position of the Europa league table, just 2 points below Lazio who has consistently won their first 4 matches of the Europa league. Imagine a team like Ajax occupying the second position in the midst of great teams like Roma, FC Porto, Manchester united, Tottenham and some other teams that are considered more stronger than Ajax. Even in the Netherland Eredivisie, Ajax is standing in the third position and about 7 points below the team at the top of the table PSV Eindhoven. If Ajax wins their outstanding game, the gap will be close to just 4 points which they might eventually meet up with PSV if they continue to maintain consistency and not lose concentration.

Now we have important and tight time ahead of top teams as they have to play 9 games before Winter break which is surely not easy because many teams are already facing troubling time, and they are having injuries which are hurting them, but they have to keep going PSV is leading the table with the difference of 5 and 7 teams respectively from Utrecht and Ajax with both have one match in hand.

Things could be interesting because now PSV is feeling heat from title challengers even still they are on advantage but it's never been easy for them to stay on this level in this busy schedule hopefully we will be having no more injuries and problems for the top clubs as they are trying to keep their momentum coming round is looking better for the top 3 teams with Utrecht will visit Nijmegen which could be challenging for them.

All team experienced defeats, from the top PSV then followed by Utrecht to Ajax each have 1 history of defeat but they really played very well, now we will see the competition start again after the international break.
PSV will face Groningen, Utrecht against NEC and Ajax against PEC Zwolle but in these top three team I think Utrecht who can get difficulties because NEC can also play well at home later, of course if Utrecht gets bad results with defeat or draw then it can benefit Ajax.

I can say that Ajax's performance this season is better than the previous season. This season they have a good performance record and deserve to be included in the candidates for the champion this season. However, PSV also appeared dominant this season and they have not suffered a defeat. FC Utrecht also performed very well. I think all the teams in the top 5 currently have the same chance to become champions. The season is still long so we can't decide which team has the biggest chance. I think we will be able to determine it when entering the second half of the season. Usually the team that dominates will have a fairly large difference in points with its competitors.

I miss Ajax in the past which was strong team and always dominated, the last time I saw them win the title was the 2021/22 season and that was Ajax last record in defending the title in row because after that they seemed to lose their confidence which ended in decline.
This is great opportunity for them to be able to start all the achievements that have been lost in the last few season, I believe Ajax will definitely be able to recover the situation and of course with the long competition of the 2024/25 season it can provide great opportunity for them.

Unfortunately, there are not many teams that have any chance of beating PSV. In my opinion, the only teams with little chance of beating PSV and preventing them from becoming champions are: Feyenoord, Twente and Ulrecht. I did not include Ajax in this list because Ajax will only play against PSV again after PSV has played against Feyenoord, Twente and Ulrecht, and I hardly see PSV losing against these 3 teams. So even if PSV loses again in the game against Ajax, they will be champions. That is why I consider it very important that Feyenoord, Twente and Ulrecht get at least draws when they play against PSV, and that Ajax does not lose in any game and wins in the next game against PSV, which will be on March 30th of next year.
