That was a performance to be ashamed of from Ajax, really. I think that was Ajax's biggest defeat ever in the Eredivisie. As an Ajax fan, I'm stunned and depressed, how can you lose like that, this season is just a bit of a nightmare, but what will change next season?

Very sad for you man, i dont know if you are from netherlands, but i can imagine how bad can be this moment for Ajax fans who lives in Netherlands right now. The only good thing at least Ajax is from Amsterdam and Feyenoord from ROterdam so i think its not so much of them in the other city.

This bad moment for Ajax seems like the one when you are betting and you cant took one good for you and the lose streak seems unfinished for ever.

There is no doubt this is the most embarrassing movement for the fans and players as well with this defeat which came in 97 years bring all honor down and now their chances for the fourth spot are also ended because with this confidence they can't win all remaining matches and go through for any chance to have fourth spot in league table.
From start match was in well under control for the Feyenoord, and they have 30 shots on goals which is clearly indicating how aggressive approach they have from the start of the game and Ajax having only 1 now they are also conceding most goals in top half of the league table as they have worst ever defense most chances things are not going to change quickly going to take good time.

This is very very bad, what happen today is gonna be in history books, a total shame for Ajax as a institution and nobody can predict this outcome in the start of the season, you CANT lose 6-0 in a derby against Feyenoord.

Meanwhile Ajax is now behind NEC.... no comments for this.
Probably not many expected that Ajax can get positive result in Rotterdam, but losing game 6:0 is new low for them. They looked worse than some random amateur team. And it's not about defence, they failed to make any dangerous attacks. 1 shot on target and 0.08 xG says a lot. And their only dangerous moment was when score was 6:0 already.

PSV is now counting the days for the championship.PSV, who scored exactly 5 goals against AZ Alkmaar, is heading towards the championship by intimidating their opponent. We can say that PSV, who played a good game against Alkmaar, has had a good league period this season. We can say that PSV, who entered the last 5 weeks with only one defeat in 29 matches, is expected to announce its championship after 2 weeks.
Twente, on the other hand, managed to win against Fortuna Sittard with 2 goals.Twente, who managed to dominate the match compared to their opponent and did not give their opponent almost a minute of opportunity, are trying to maintain their position in the league. They will want to finish 3rd in the league at worst and thus they will be able to participate in the Europa League.

What can we expect from Ajax this season? they're like a mediocre team that's fighting for a UCL spot for next season, no more Eredivisie title races for them this season. Their next match is against Feyenoord, also playing at Feyenoord's home ground, does anyone expect Ajax to win this match?
It's difficult to see Ajax winning at Feyenoord's home ground, odds for Feyenoord is so low that's not even worth to bet on them. In all competitions Ajax won just 3 of their 13 games, I think it sys a lot. And they're not fighting for UCL spot as Ajax is 15 points behind Twente. Best what they can get is Conference league spot.
Meanwhile PSV simply destroyed AZ 5:1, showing that losl last week was just some bad luck.

I think Ajax fans are in the wait for the end of this season, nothing mroe to do, nothing to fight for, nothing to achieve, i think is one of the first time they are not gonna be nearby to anything in a lot of years.

Lets see the next market which players remains and who are the new faces, i can feel Ajax going to south america to catch new gems.

John van 't Schip is doing a better work than the recent managers they have signed. They don't lose so many matches from now on however the problem is that they get a lot of draws. This is likely to cost them not only the Champions League but also the Europa League. We will probably watch them in the Conference League once again.  Sad

Do you think they would change their manager once again? Truthfully if I were in their place I would give the current manager a chance in the summer for building the squad better and see what he will do next season.

Maybe next season we might see Ajax slowly returning to their bright times again.  Wink

Just imagine you bet at the start of the season in the outrights market that Ajax was gonna be the champion of this season... I think nobody can predict this fail, you can lost that bet but not in this terms.

The worst part is, they are gonna end the season without finding or recovery any performance. Very bad. Long preseason ahead for this team.

Ajax in the first rounds were in a pure failing mode and sitting in the relegation zone. Getting out from there and move to the 5th place in Eredivisie was an achievement itself regarding only this season but as you said, who wondered that big Ajax Amsterdam will perform horribly like that!
For the next season, I still doubt they could catch any of the big two European leagues. Champions League spots are already taken. Europa League qualifiers, maybe, if they could catch AZ Alkmaar which isn't obvious.

Ajax having another huge setback as they held by G A Eagles by score of 1–1 at home which is surely not expected by their fans before start of this match Gaael give them early lead but injury time goal by Kuipers ruin their progress for the fourth spot now in next round they are going to face Feyenoord which is currently at the second spot and defending champions most chances we will be having another bad result for them and then surely things could be not ideal for them to overtake AZ Alkmaar which is now having 7 points lead even their schedule is also not good

But, they are still doing much better and having good chance for the staying at the fourth spot and spot into UEFA Europa League for the next season PSV clearly going for the title and no one can give them any challenge for this spot.

Asides of this little bump from PSV they do a magnificent tournament/season, and theyd eserve to be the champions, but also to remark the super performance of Feyenoord is a very good torunament and in other years surely the fight was very close or maybe you are the champion with that points, but well PSV was out of this world in this season.

psv's next 4 games will be decisive for them to become champions and the opponents will not be easy to call, first psv will have to play against az who lost today in a very humiliating way even playing against a team that in the last 5 games came from mixed results, yet AZ lost the game and conceded 5 goals, this could mean that AZ are weakened and probably PSV will also be able to win in the next game against AZ. then psv will play against 2 very weak teams that are in a bad situation, in my opinion the strong opponent of psv's next 4 games will be sparta rotterda which could make psv have to work hard to win, but in any case PSV's chances of becoming champion are great now
After having 75 points from 28 games and lead from second spotted Feyenoord by 10 points and just 6 games remaining in this season there is no threat for the PSV they are already champions of the Eredivisie for the 2024, and they are going to play another time in Champions League which is good development for them in remaining 6 games just game from the round 29 having some challenge as they will host the AZ Alkmaar others are relatively against easy opponents, and we all know PSV lost only one game in this season mean all is going to be good end for them.

Ajax is surely needed some improvement in remaining matches if they are looking for the Europa League because we have competition between AZ Alkmaar and Ajax for the fourth spot AZ Alkmaar is having some lead, but things are not favour able them while they are consistently losing points which are surely going to hurt them badly at the end of this season.

Although Ajax started the season badly, they managed to recover later on.Ajax took 3 points away from PEC Zwolle with 3 goals and are now in 5th place with 44 points.Ajax may have a chance to finish the league in 4th place for Ajax, who won with the difference of experience in a match where the opponent also played well.
Twente managed to win at home against Heracles with a single goal, playing better than their opponent and using the home advantage.
Feyenoord, on the other hand, had an important match against Utrecht. Both teams want to reduce the points difference between them and their rivals. For Feyenoord, they managed to reduce the points difference with PSV to 7 by winning this match. If Utrecht had won this match, it would both open the point difference with its closest rivals below and close the point difference with its rivals above it. Although Utrecht closed the first half ahead, Feyenoord increased the pressure in the second half and got 3 points with 4 goals.
Few weeks back I was sure about their 4th spot at the end of this season but with their current performance now I am giving them some chances because they are not consistent, and their performance is also still not good for having good spot at the end of this season even AZ Alkmaar is also losing points frequently which is good sign for the Ajax but still things are not easy while we will have Feyenoord vs Ajax which is going to have problem for them and PSV is also going to host AZ Alkmaar which is good sign for them but most chances we will have better update on last day of this season who is going to stay at the fourth spot with if we have Ajax then surely this could be impressive for them.

SBV Excelsior 0 - 2 PSV Eindhoven

This was a game in which PSV needed to win to continue to maintain a considerable difference in points in relation to Feyenoord, which if they win tomorrow will reduce the difference to just 7 points, it is not a big difference in points considering that they still There are 7 games left for the league to end, there are 21 points up for grabs, at least that is in the case of Feyenoord, because in the case of PSV there are only 6 games left for the league to end, which means that PSV only needs to win the next 4 games for them to become Eredivisie champions, looking at the history of the Eredivisie, the last time PSV won the Eredivisie was in 2018

Ajax have not really been at their best performances but they've definitely been winning games and have been consistent to it. Definitely a coach has his own impact in a team, once the head is faulty, there'll always be loopholes. It means a lot for a team to get victorious consecutively in a row and for Ajax, that's caused a gradual improvement regardless not doubting that they still have to put in more work.

They've got players no doubt but the squad needs to be better, Ajax is a team better than a narrow win, at the moment though, finding the right player who's top and ready in all areas to give that competitive capacity in both the domestic league and the European leagues will be hard. Their inconsistency is unhealthy and they just have to find a way to stop the losses from occuring through a narrow means. There's still a bit of time for their errors to be reshaped and corrected too.

The Eredivise is competitive no doubt and consistency works very much for the teams there. It's winter season and so the teams ought to brace up to gain enough grounds ahead of post winter break. PSV and Ajax are doing explicitly well in the league as they've been able to keep up with game victories too. For Alkmaar, they're still lagging behind and it's really taking toll on them and their points on the league table too. They've just got to find a balance and get back to their pace.

Their league isn't even as competitive as other European leagues as there are just a few teams that are tough in their play. They can still meet up with points and stay at a good spot on the table too. Congrats to Ajax and PSV, they're good and are growing better gradually regardless of the little loopholes that they're having too. The second half of the season have taken different turn in the league as it's believed that the various team managers will make new and better strategies to increase team's performance too.

PSV'S performance today wasn't really such a good one but then it still didn't do so much harm to them as they are still ahead at the top of the table with ten points which is still a very safe zone for them without much fear of been displaced by any team any soon on their League this season, they have been able to maintain the top position on the table the longest this season as no other team has been at the top that long.

PSV has been really up with an excellent performance this season but this evening they seem to have had one of their poor's forma and lost so badly but then they are still safe and this is one of the advantages of getting as much point as you can when the opportunity avails it self so I'm times like this even your loss wouldn't do so much to you because you have got a whole lot of points to cushion the effects of such losses but it becomes a problem when it becomes a series of losses you may be at risk of stepping down a d possibly been over taken by another and reduce your chances at the trophy by the end of the season.

Regardless of what happens, I think PSV still stands tall and With the best chance of winning the league title this season than others so they are actually not in so much hurry to maintain their top position but then it's aswell important thsy don't get to suffer this kind of losses again before it gradually becomes effective on their positions in the league because others are definitely wanting to get to the top too aswell.
PSV defeat to a weak team certainly surprised us all at the moment, but that's football that is often surprising at the moment, PSV's unbeaten record this season is indeed quite remarkable and reminds me of what is being experienced by Leverkusen and Al Hillal at the moment, but unfortunately PSV could not maintain that record further this week,  The defeat certainly makes the competition tighter in the league even though PSV and Feyenoord are now adrift with 7 points, of course with about 7 games left Feyenoord still have the opportunity to press or beat PSV in the championship And of course it will make us enjoy a tight league again until the end of the season.

The first defeat that PSV got I don't think will be the last defeat for them, because anyway when a team has lost, other teams tend to evaluate the defeat to be able to find where the weaknesses are, as well as PSV at this time where maybe rival teams will try to see where the weaknesses are in the PSV squad after losing to NEC Nijmegen yesterday to be able to take advantage of this when they meet PSV later.
