Although Ajax started the season badly, they managed to recover later on.Ajax took 3 points away from PEC Zwolle with 3 goals and are now in 5th place with 44 points.Ajax may have a chance to finish the league in 4th place for Ajax, who won with the difference of experience in a match where the opponent also played well.
Twente managed to win at home against Heracles with a single goal, playing better than their opponent and using the home advantage.
Feyenoord, on the other hand, had an important match against Utrecht. Both teams want to reduce the points difference between them and their rivals. For Feyenoord, they managed to reduce the points difference with PSV to 7 by winning this match. If Utrecht had won this match, it would both open the point difference with its closest rivals below and close the point difference with its rivals above it. Although Utrecht closed the first half ahead, Feyenoord increased the pressure in the second half and got 3 points with 4 goals.
Ajax have not really been at their best performances but they've definitely been winning games and have been consistent to it. Definitely a coach has his own impact in a team, once the head is faulty, there'll always be loopholes. It means a lot for a team to get victorious consecutively in a row and for Ajax, that's caused a gradual improvement regardless not doubting that they still have to put in more work.

They've got players no doubt but the squad needs to be better, Ajax is a team better than a narrow win, at the moment though, finding the right player who's top and ready in all areas to give that competitive capacity in both the domestic league and the European leagues will be hard. Their inconsistency is unhealthy and they just have to find a way to stop the losses from occuring through a narrow means. There's still a bit of time for their errors to be reshaped and corrected too.

The Eredivise is competitive no doubt and consistency works very much for the teams there. It's winter season and so the teams ought to brace up to gain enough grounds ahead of post winter break. PSV and Ajax are doing explicitly well in the league as they've been able to keep up with game victories too. For Alkmaar, they're still lagging behind and it's really taking toll on them and their points on the league table too. They've just got to find a balance and get back to their pace.

Their league isn't even as competitive as other European leagues as there are just a few teams that are tough in their play. They can still meet up with points and stay at a good spot on the table too. Congrats to Ajax and PSV, they're good and are growing better gradually regardless of the little loopholes that they're having too. The second half of the season have taken different turn in the league as it's believed that the various team managers will make new and better strategies to increase team's performance too.

PSV'S performance today wasn't really such a good one but then it still didn't do so much harm to them as they are still ahead at the top of the table with ten points which is still a very safe zone for them without much fear of been displaced by any team any soon on their League this season, they have been able to maintain the top position on the table the longest this season as no other team has been at the top that long.

PSV has been really up with an excellent performance this season but this evening they seem to have had one of their poor's forma and lost so badly but then they are still safe and this is one of the advantages of getting as much point as you can when the opportunity avails it self so I'm times like this even your loss wouldn't do so much to you because you have got a whole lot of points to cushion the effects of such losses but it becomes a problem when it becomes a series of losses you may be at risk of stepping down a d possibly been over taken by another and reduce your chances at the trophy by the end of the season.

Regardless of what happens, I think PSV still stands tall and With the best chance of winning the league title this season than others so they are actually not in so much hurry to maintain their top position but then it's aswell important thsy don't get to suffer this kind of losses again before it gradually becomes effective on their positions in the league because others are definitely wanting to get to the top too aswell.
PSV defeat to a weak team certainly surprised us all at the moment, but that's football that is often surprising at the moment, PSV's unbeaten record this season is indeed quite remarkable and reminds me of what is being experienced by Leverkusen and Al Hillal at the moment, but unfortunately PSV could not maintain that record further this week,  The defeat certainly makes the competition tighter in the league even though PSV and Feyenoord are now adrift with 7 points, of course with about 7 games left Feyenoord still have the opportunity to press or beat PSV in the championship And of course it will make us enjoy a tight league again until the end of the season.

The first defeat that PSV got I don't think will be the last defeat for them, because anyway when a team has lost, other teams tend to evaluate the defeat to be able to find where the weaknesses are, as well as PSV at this time where maybe rival teams will try to see where the weaknesses are in the PSV squad after losing to NEC Nijmegen yesterday to be able to take advantage of this when they meet PSV later.

Yeah when i see the leaderboard i started to think or imagine, what situation completly diferent we can have now if Feyenoord won against PSV the other day before the international break.... Just imagine that, we can have a super fight until the end of the season, and incredible one if we think about how good PSV was doing all the season until now.

PSV Eindhoven suffered their first defeat in the league in week 27.It was a very strange defeat for PSV, who lost 3-1 against NEC Nijmegen.PSV were the dominant side throughout the match, conceding 3 goals after PSV scored the first goal through Bakayoko.PSV had 66 percent possession in the match and had 27 shots, but scored 1 goal. In the 81st minute, Luuk De Jong missed a penalty that could have prevented a possible draw here.If that penalty had been a goal, Nijmegen could have made a mistake under pressure, but they failed to capitalize on it.

the biggest problem with these international breaks: qualifying games for the euro, world cup, friendly games and that when players return from their national teams, they return without rhythm and this has happened to all teams and greatly affects the top teams, I I've already talked about this in the past that when a team is at the top they need to pray to continue playing well after the international break. There have been cases where a team was at the top with a good advantage over the team in second place, but the international break came and when the league games resumed that team's performance dropped a lot to the point where they were no longer champions. In this case of PSV, even before the international break they were already showing signs of declining, for example:

PSV 2 - 2 Feyenoord
Go head eagles 0 - 1 PSV
PSV 1 - 0 Twente

NEC 3 - 1 PSV

psv wasn't scoring many goals, only in the game against feyenoord that they managed to score 2 goals. in the other 2 games they didn't score more than 1 goal, their luck was in their good defense, but that could also fail and that's what happened in this NEC game, probably the international break made their defense fragile and like the attack It was already fragile so this was the result.

Feyenoord 4 - 2 Ultrecht

it was a game that had 6 goals. although Feyenoord dominated possession a lot, I see that their defense was not good, they conceded 2 goals in that game, the first goal they conceded in the 2nd minute and the second goal was in the 32nd minute thanks to a penalty. As a result, Feyenoord were losing by 2 goals, but they managed to reverse that result to the point where they scored 4 goals and won the game. I see that Feyenoord still has a good chance of becoming champions. There are 7 games left for the league to end and they are only 7 points behind PSV. and seeing that PSV is in decline, in my opinion Feyenoord has a great chance of winning the title again

I believe that PSV's management, coach and players must be looking at the table and starting to feel under pressure, PSV's remaining games are not games against very strong teams, but PSV could lose in the next games even though they are games against teams weak

I think Ajax fans are in the wait for the end of this season, nothing mroe to do, nothing to fight for, nothing to achieve, i think is one of the first time they are not gonna be nearby to anything in a lot of years.

Lets see the next market which players remains and who are the new faces, i can feel Ajax going to south america to catch new gems.
Some season become worst days for elite teams and this current season, it happen to Ajax. They started roughly this season and they're yet to retain good positions, instead they're sliding back and definitely poor reputation for them. The team's board are the ones to be blamed because they've failed completely, it's all traced back to the potential key players they sold and unable to refilled the vacant space of the outgoing players. They couldn't make significant signings and watching them fall to this moment.

We have busy day in all leagues after the break with few surprises are also happened around the matches like PSV lost their first game in Eredivisie in this season and this defeat came against Nijmegen which is currently at the fifth spot and now having four wins from their last five games in another game AZ Alkmaar is also having win by good score or 2–0 with this win now their spot for the Europa League qualification is settled because they are having 10 points difference from the fifth spotted team and their current performance is also good which is another big change after having few bad results which was indicating they could be slipped and lost their chance for staying at the top.

Now the title race is almost ended as we have PSV at the top clearly, and they are also showing no challenge is coming for them in this season.

WHAT are we just seeing right now!, PSV is losing against NEC , nobody can expect this outcome, they also alowing 3 goals in one amtch, this is pure result of the international break, we see this so many times, a lot of teams return from the international break with their heads no focused and this kind of things happen all across the leagues.
Usually after the break we have some results so after 14 days break today was the first day in all leagues, and we have few surprising results which was not expected, but it's all part of the game PSV having first defeat of the season and Bayern Munich also lost their game against Dortmund at home this was their first defeat against Dortmund at home after 2019 so this all is part of the game, and we have to accept realities no team is invincible all have day when they are going to face defeat so we have for the PSV in this round but still their hold is good on trophy for this season.

PSV, who have maintained an unbeaten record of 26 league games this season, ended painfully when the record was broken by a team we didn't expect to do, after the international break, PSV fans who hoped their team could continue the positive trend but had to experience disappointment after NEC Nijmegen beat PSV with a score of 3-1 today,  The defeat to NEC Nijmegen did not affect PSV's position in the table but now they have cut the gap from second-placed Feyenoord to 10 points and with the defeat certainly throw away PSV's dream of being able to win the league this season without defeat Record.

Feyenoord's opportunity to continue to get closer to PSV is now wide open in my opinion, because with many games left, of course, it still provides an opportunity for Feyenoord to continue to press and disrupt PSV in winning trophies this season, Feyenoord's opportunity to further shorten the gap from PSV  can get when tomorrow they will face Fc Ultrecht in week 27 and I think Fc Utrecht is not a strong opponent for Feyenoord later, especially so far Feyenoord has a good winning record when facing Fc Utrecht in the league.

They lost game and it means that PSV won't have Invincibles season as it was their first loss this season. Who could have thought that Nijmegen will be team that ruined PSV perfect record. But as you say, it may be outcome of international break.
It's still not much threat for PSV title, in case of Feyenord win they will still keep 7 points lead. For me it's only sad that they won't be able get such rare achievement - season without a loss, who knows when they will have chance for it next time.

In any case, the fans won't want to remember this season, but are there any plans for next season, perhaps another change of coach?

PSV and Feyenoord will of course not do much during the summer break, apart from selectively strengthening their weak points, unless they sell out of players and coaches.

John van 't Schip actually made a superb start first but now Ajax are back in bad shape again. I won't be surprised at all if we see another change of manager as they have done very often lately. Ajax have nothing left other than the Eredivisie now, right? Then I don't think it matters if they make this change right now or after waiting for the end of the season.  Sad

Ajax lost some really important players after their best season with Erik ten Hag. I wonder if the same thing will happen to especially PSV. They have just totally dominated the whole season here.  Grin

No doubt all fans are looking forward for the end of this terrible season which they never want to remember because now things are going the worst day by day with their decline in quality and consistency hopefully we will have overhaul in next season which bring some positive changes even now most chances things are going to take time for having positive results, but surely they are able to do this all with their available sources.

Now they needed new blood which give them best performance and things came back as they were doing few season backs but is this all possible, or we are going to have another miserable season coming it's all about on their management which is now going to be important for their better future and things came back at the top level while PSV and Feyenoord are going to be dominant teams as they are going to improve quality which is surely going to help them for keeping things at this level.

I agree, Ajax now only have a chance of finishing fourth, but they can't afford many more slip-ups. They have to win today in any case, I don't think AZ will lose against the team at the bottom of the table. If Ajax lose or only manage a draw, fourth place will soon no longer be realistic.

Well, it seems that getting the number 4 position will only be in a dream. ajax had many opportunities to show that they were finally recovered, but unfortunately after having a sequence of victories, they fell back into decline, when I look at this:

It's clear to me that ajax has entered its failure mode again. and it went into this failure mode at the right time because the league games are approaching the end and when we see that in 5 games ajax only managed to have just 1 victory, then we see that they wasted 12 points and if ajax had won in all games from the last 5 games would be in position number 3 at that moment or at least would be at the same point as the team in position 3. but unfortunately Ajax showed that they have not recovered and this season everything is already lost, position 5 is the more suitable for Ajax and next season the chances of finishing in that position 5 again is more realistic than dreaming of the title next season

PSV 1 - 0 Twente

PSV had a very complicated game against Twente who occupy position 3, in that game PSV dominated possession but failed to score many goals and were lucky to score 1 goal in the 90+6 minutes. Twente did well in defense, despite having lost, in my opinion they showed that they are a team that deserves to be in position 3 and that they can improve further next season. with this victory, PSV remains 10 points ahead of the team in position 2 and an interesting fact is that PSV only conceded just 13 goals in the league in 26 games and scored 81 goals and have not lost in any game since the league has started, I'm wondering: will PSV be champions without losing a game?  Grin

Ajax misery is still going on as currently they are trailing by 2–0 against Sparta Rotterdam with we are in 60th minute of the match and if we have no action from the Ajax most chances we will have no chance for them to have fourth spot because AZ Alkmaar is already won their away game by big margin, and now we have difference of points 9 which is surely not easy to cut in coming 8 rounds of the season.

Two goals in both halves are enough for the leading game by Sparta Rotterdam's Verschueren even we have good ball control and too many chances for the Ajax, but sadly they fail to give anything good in this game while now Sparta Rotterdam is going to end their winless streak after three matches in league.
The game ended in a draw 2-2 with Ajax having a red card in the ninetieth minute of the game and they had to equally share points with Sparta. Recalling back to how Ajax began the season, they did had a very poor performance but then it wasn't too long they picked up form again and it looked like they were very much back on their feet and we're ready to take back their position in the eredivisie.

Later they had very nice results which made them appeared very productive and I taught it's a new era for them and that they were most definitely going to get to the top four and hopefully get to secure a champions league spot for next season but then in their las five game they have proven otherwise in their performance and they no longer look productive to me because I don't like the results I'm seeing and it's not even looking like they will make it to the Europa according to the eredivisie standard of ranking their team for the next season.

Ajax has lost one and won one then drew the remaining in their last five games and they are not looking like they are in their better form at this time, they may just be trying to maintain a position around the fifth and sixth position which actually isn't going to get them anywhere away from the eredivisie, they are most definitely going to stay within the eredivisie and may not participate in elite leagues next season of they don't improve their performance before the end of the season.
