For me PSV needs to focus and improve more in the Champions League, they can take a rest in the eredivisie since is no team who can catch them in a proper way, because right now they in for the next round, but is not a safe position to be.

It's seems like they are the most consistent team team in the Eredevisie this season despite the two loses they suffered and Moreover they might not be able to perform at the same level and pace which they did last season by scoring that outrageous amount of goal in one season but it's obvious that they might clinch the trophy once again if they can maintain this level of consistency and not lose concentration before the end of this season.

The competition in the Eredevisie is becoming quite tough by the years, making it hard for one club to continue to dominate for a long period of time and this might be one of the issues that PSV may face in this second half of this season and they do not any other option than to brace up.

Compared to other clubs, PSV is indeed a fairly consistent club this season. However, on the other hand, this season Ajax is stronger than the previous season, even one of the two defeats experienced by PSV, which they got when facing Ajax, and one other match, was a fairly surprising defeat because PSV had to lose narrowly to Herenveen. The tight schedule slightly shakes the consistency they have, because the defeat to Herenveen they got after they played in the Champions League. However, PSV has a champion mentality, they do not linger in defeat, where for the next match PSV immediately returned to the path of victory.
PSV has really improved more than what we saw last season and this is evident in their performance in the champions league where they got some surprising wins, though they aren't on the best positions on the table log of the champions league League but statistically they have really impressed this season more than Ajax, whereas Ajax Amsterdam who has had to struggle with lots of issue with players are now recuperating very well and trying to put their team in order so as to enhance their performance and it has been a very wonderful season for them I must say because their level of consistency is what has helped them to be behind psv on the table but I don't see them overtaking the Eindhoven club to the title.

Yeah, PSV is very much the most consistent team in the Netherland league this season, and this is because they create dozen of chances each time they play. Their style of play since last season have been very different, and when you create chances like that you will score more. Just like the popular saying in football goes “Goals win Games” and that PSV philosophy. They concede a lot too but it just one thing on their mind, they Will surely out score their opponents. Noa Lang is thriving in this philosophy, he have been their best player since the beginning of season, he now have 11 goal contribution in 14 appearances in the league so far.

After the break they take on AZ Alkmaar, it a derby but I think PSV will cruise pass them. A win in this match will put them in sole position to win the league. Let hope the long break don’t won’t have anything to do with their foam. Most team tends to struggle after this kind of long break. It going to be a big match and I’m already anticipating.

Last season, PSV Eindhoven performed extraordinarily and consistently. Not only that, in the 2023/2024 season, they also became one of the clubs with the most points and goals in one season, at least last season they managed to score 111 goals. A very extraordinary record, although this record has not been able to match the record once made by Ajax Amsterdam, where the club once scored 122 goals in one season, but that was quite a long time ago.

Meanwhile, for this season, maybe they will not be able to break the record they made last season, because just touching the middle of the season PSV has already suffered 2 defeats. However, even so, PSV remains at the top, with 45 points that they have collected, and if they can maintain their consistency, it is very possible for PSV to win this season.

and the latest information for the next match PSV will face AZ, which of course will be quite an interesting match, AZ could be a scary specter for the top teams because lately they have performed consistently, and in the previous match AZ also managed to beat Ajax.

PSV is by far the best team on netherlands now and in the past year, they are not so dominant like the last year which was a total domination but they still being by far the best of all.

Ajax is not as bad as the last year but still a team who cant fight for title. Feyenoord is good but they lack some extra power.

PSV are really unbelievable mate. Let's remember the last season:

111 goals scored while conceding only 21 goals in 34 games.
• Collected 91 points and lost only once in the whole season.

When we compare their current work to that I can say they are serious for a back-to-back title surely.  Grin  The only and important difference from the last season is to see Ajax more competitive.

This makes me glad otherwise the season would be much more boring.  Sad  Ajax beat PSV home in the league this season. I wish their next meet was on an earlier date than March 29.

I think it is too early to say that PSV will break their previous points tally. In the previous season they got 91 points with only 4 draws and 1 loss. But this season they have already got 2 losses. I am sure they will be champions this season but I still doubt they will break their previous points tally. On the other hand Ajax managed to overcome their problems this season. They managed to be in second place in the standings this season. Although it is only half a season but they have shown good progress. I don't see their chances of becoming champions but I see them having the chance to end their position in the standings better than the previous season.
With the current form of PSV and consistency which are they showing in this season we can expect them to have more than 92 points because now we have 46 points from 17 games, and now they needed the same number of points in 17 games with just 2 loses hopefully now in second half of this season they will be able to keep their momentum and break their record we have just Ajax which can create problems for them with no other team is near to them which can have any solid performance in this league.

PSV is currently having 6 points advantage while their spot in Champions League next round is also not easy so if they are able to keep things on good level in their own league and break their past record this could be another big achievement for them which will surely make things proud for them and their players.

Out of the three teams that finished top of the league table last season in the Dutch league, PSV have been the one performing extremely well this season. They broke the record for most points in a single season last season when they won the league with 91 points last season beating the record Ajax did set when they won the league with 89 points years ago but it seems PSV are on course to even finish the season with a better number of points than they managed last season. Feyenoord are currently 10 points behind league leaders so I think they're not a strong contender for the league title this season
There is still half of the season and it is not certain to guarantee that PSV can achieve more than 90 points until the end of the season, in football there are many surprises such as draws or defeats that can hinder PSV from achieving as many points as possible.
Only team that is very likely to compete is Ajax because PSV and Ajax are only 6 points apart, this will be quite an interesting competition until this season competition is really finished at the end of the season, I think Ajax will be able to continue to pursue and narrow the difference with PSV.

Having too much time on my hands apparently, I was playing with stats to see how are the Big 3 teams performing as compared to the average of the last 5 seasons.
The average points per game in the 2024/25 season and the percentage change on the benchmark of the average points per game of the last 5 years are as follows:
PSV: 2.65 points/game; +17.67% up from the 5-year average
Ajax: 2.29 points/game; +4.85%
Feyenoord: 2.06 points/game; -3.83%

So PSV are doing really well and they're on the right track to replicate their last season's success and finish with more than 90 points, while Feyenoord is lagging behind a bit and are performing below expectations

If it wasn't for the two recent losses that PSV has had, I think the season would be over already. For the sake of some excitement remaining for the Eredivisie, these two losses were fundamentally important. As you pointed out, 2.65 points per game is crazy over such a long period of time. They essentially average 90 points per season almost although I have to say that I am not sure these numbers are correct. They have scored far less points than 90 in the last five years a couple of times. It's a bit weird that the average is said to be that high. I don't know where those numbers are from.

PSV been in an incredible foam since the beginning of last season, the numbers of goals they have scored in both season combined is unbelievable. Ajax used to be this good couple of years ago but they are currently struggling, even though this season they look more stronger than last season but still I don’t see them in the same level as PSV currently. They are not 6points clear off Ajax and I also think the points will only increase, Ajax performance is still very unpredictable and they could drop points in a match you won’t expect them to.

PSV resume with a derby match against AZ Alkmaar, they are playing at home again and for sure I think they will win this one with ease, PSV haven’t lost to AZ Alkmaar since 2022 and with their current foam I don’t see them losing this one at home. For sure it going to be an interesting match, AZ Alkmaar will do their thing but they are not going to win this one. I’m gambling on PSV to win this one and over 2.5.

With a 6-point gap from the club below them, PSV can relax a bit to enjoy the top of the standings, especially as you said that Ajax has not been able to perform consistently in every match.

The match between PSV and AZ will be quite an interesting match to watch, although we see PSV always appear strong and sharp in every match, the narrow defeat they experienced when facing an opponent far below them, namely Heerenveen, this proves that no matter how strong they are this season, PSV still has the possibility of losing when facing AZ. The possibility could happen when both teams are already on the field. This is a match that is quite difficult to predict, so I feel hesitant to place a bet on this match.

~snip~
I would be lying if I said I wasn't shocked by Feyenoord's loss to PSV since Feyenoord has been playing well this season and PSV lost their last away game to Heerenveen by a single goal. Because it is a derby match, I believed that PSV would struggle against Feyenoord after seeing the result of their match against Heerenveen. PSV scored three goals to control the game from start to finish. I believe PSV will still win the Eredivisie at the end of the season.
PSV played very well but on the other hand Ajax also followed with quite impressive improvement, PSV victory with 3 goal against Feneyord was great success, some people considered it difficult match for PSV to win but in fact they win.
Just saw the standings and PSV so far for half season has 15 win with total of 59 goal and only conceded 13 goal, they have many wins with more than 3 goal obtained and PSV is still the only team with the most sharp and dangerous front line players, it seems that what you said is true that PSV will remain win title in the Eredivisie this season.
PSV have shown with their statistics that they have been performing magnificently in their half-season. They have only lost twice and have not drawn in this period. They have scored a lot of goals in the games they have played and they are already giving hope for the end of the year. Ajax will bother them until the end of the year but I don't think they will pass them until the end of the year.

Last season in the Dutch league, reigning champions PSV broke the record for most points in an Eredivisie season when they went on to accumulate 91 points overtaking Ajax's record in 1997/98 season when they won the league with 89 points. This season, PSV are currently 6 points better than 2nd placed Ajax after 17 league games. Do you think PSV will be able to replicate their impressiveness of last season by retaining the league title this or do you think Ajax will bounce back in the second half of the season and overtake them? Let me read your thoughts
I believe that PSV will be able to replicate their record of last season because they are currently doing it already. Ajax is their major contender because Feyenood is not consistent.  At the moment, Ajax is behind them and the gap will keep increasing because Ajax is not as strong as they used to be while PSV ìs just as strong as they ought to be for a smooth ride to the trophy.  I'm confident that this season will be for PSV and they will dominate in everything including highest goal scorer for the season.

Interestingly, after two consecutive seasons PSV only managed to finish as runners-up, in the 2023/24 season they performed beyond expectations because they were not only able to win the championship, but they also finished with quite a lot of points and goals, this is a very perfect victory that PSV has ever achieved. And by becoming champions last season, the team's performance has become even better, and it seems that this season they don't want to give their championship title to just anyone.

and for this season, PSV is not only the team that continues to perch at the top of the standings, but they are also back to being the team with the most goals, and also the team that has conceded the least goals, where at least until now they have only conceded 13 goals. and of course this illustrates that PSV not only has a sharp attack line, but they also have a fairly strong defense, and to get the championship title back this season, they must maintain that consistency.

PSV keeping well level into their performance which is good sign for them with their chances in Champions League are on 50/50 due to their last game against Liverpool at home, but we have fair chance for staying at the top in Eredivisie as Ajax is trying their best but still they needed time and Feyenoord is having decline after win of title things like these clearly indicating we will be having PSV right at the top and able to win another title, but things could be challenging for them in second half of this season.

6 Points difference is surely not enough but keeping consistency is also important Ajax surely needed more time while PSV doing good job which is big difference between these two teams in this season with this we will have good end of this season.
