Wow. I know some of you said it wasn't a surprise but I have to admit I didn't see this coming. Ajax in third place and maybe, just maybe even forced to consider having to fight off in the playoff for a spot in Conference League!

Alkmaar continues to upstage my expectations, can they pip Ajax to a guaranteed spot next season (that's even if they don't buy their own ticket by winning Conference)?
Didn't expected such result, but 3:0 reflects game quite well. And it summarize Ajax season pretty well. Awful performance in Champions and Europa league, they won't win Eredivisie and now likely will not qualify to Champions league next season. They still can win Cup, but obviously it wasn't main their goal of the season.
This game was interrupted for some time after PSV fans started throwing things like beer glasses at Ajax players. It's not first time when such things happened in Eredivisie this season and Ajax is again victim of such behaviour. I can't understand why fans are doing such things when their team leads 2:0...

From what I understand, the number 2 also has an extra ticket for the CL from next season. And the number 3 would then be allowed to play preliminary round. Ajax will have to make do with a placement for the EL, but I think that is also where Ajax belongs. Only Feyenoord has a team that can compete with strong teams in Europe, but if you play against teams like PSG and City I would like to see it in a full tub. Arne Slot is irreplaceable, as soon as he leaves it will collapse like a house of cards, just like it happened with Ajax when Ten hag left.
Not completely right, 2nd place goes to Champions league qualification and 3rd to Europa league qualification. So, now Ajax is likely to stay without Champions league next season. But realistically, none of teams doesn't looks capable to achieve something significant in Champions league. Now they only can go far in Europa league.

It's surprising what's happening this season in the European leagues, ajax practically doesn't have many chances to reverse the current results and become champion, with the high risk of finishing in the 3rd position as I said in my last post in this thread, but looking for ajax I see that they will need to make big changes if they want to win the league next season and go back to being a team that constantly scored a lot of goals, I still don't know if they will keep this current coach or if they will change the coach and buy players. about Feyenoord they are practically champions, they just need confirmation, I very much doubt that there will be any change

but I don't see Feyenoord getting far in the european champions league, after the game against rome it became more evident, in the champions league they will face better teams than rome and they will lose, i think Feyenoord will be eliminated very early, but they are to be congratulated this season, they had a good campaign with 30 games and they had 22 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw. they scored 73 goals and only conceded 7 goals, but they don't have the best attack in the league, the best attack in the league will go to PSV, even if the goal difference currently between PSV and ajax is not big, I see PSV as the team with the best attack

In the most important match of the week, there were 3 goals in the PSV-Ajax match.PSV defeated its important rival by scoring 3 goals and moved into 2nd place.PSV, which closed the first half 1-0 ahead with the goal it found in the first half, was the team that scored 2 more goals in the second half and scored 3 points. The goal came from luuk de jong.Although Ajax was the side that dominated the ball more, they could not make good use of their goal positions.Although the race will be between PSV and Feyenoord after this hour, it is obvious that Feyenoord is the champion.Feyenoord, who defeated their strong rival utrecht 3-1 at home in the match played today, maintained the point difference between them and is going to the championship step by step.

AZ is only 2 points behind Ajax due to a virtual victory. Ajax has really lost a lot of points lately. Or would the competition have become stronger? In the case of Feyenoord I can say yes. But AZ is doing well in Europe, but it is unreal that Ajax might still be 4th in the competition? I can hardly imagine that would happen. Ajax's goal difference is still a lot better than AZ's, but that won't help you much if you miss a lot of points now. I also don't know the program of the teams that are still competing for the European tickets.

Ajax and PSV have many problems that they have to solve when you look at the selection. The problems at PSV seem to be manageable, but we should also not forget what Ajax's budget is compared to PSV. You can also judge a team based on a bank account, right? And in that respect, Ajax has had a really bad season. Feyenoord will play CL, which means that golden income can be generated again, which they need to strengthen the team. Ajax has missed the boat the last 2 seasons.

yes, that is indeed correct. But PSV and Ajax don't have much to look for in the CL at the moment. They would both fail. PSV has missed a ticket for a few years in a row. The last time Feyenoord was active in the CL, it seemed to be a hopeless campaign. But this selection of Feyenoord is also difficult to keep together, I think. In principle, Kogcu is unstoppable and Gimenez is also in the interest of various clubs. But a well-deserved title for Feyenoord this season in any case, it was of course a huge display of power this season.

Feyenoord has a solid 1-0 lead against Utrecht, probably another easy win. While they basically no longer need the victories. But it is also nice from the other side to win the title with great force majeure. Suppose you become champion of the Netherlands and you have an 11-point lead over PSV. Surely that must feel like a great humiliation for PSV? And maybe let's not talk about Ajax because they have made a mess of it. I think we can also blame general manager Edwin van de Sar for the necessary things. He did not even invite Peter Bosz for an interview.

It's that time again in the Netherlands, the match between PSV and Ajax has been stopped. The reason for this is unclear, but I suspect it has to do with disturbances between supporters who thought it was inappropriate to throw objects on the field. This first incident happened a few weeks ago, and what you get now is that supporters know that the matches are going to be stopped, they see this as the ultimate opportunity to shchop riots. Some people go to the games for the wrong reasons. But how are you supposed to deal with these kinds of abuses?

3-0 for PSV now. As an Ajax supporter, it must hurt your eyes to see your team lose so without a chance. From title candidate number 1 to laughing stock at the top. Maybe Ajax is not even at the top anymore at the moment. Becoming 3rd now seems to me to be the maximum achievable, but AZ is also very close and is in a slightly better flow. Ajax will have to appoint another trainer if they want to do things differently in the coming season. This is a lost season with perhaps only a cup as prize. in any case something, but they can do that again against PSV, by the way.

That 3-0 today is not even a surprise anymore. PSV is also called an inexperienced coach in Van Nistelrooy, but is a few years older than Heitinga and still seems to make a more professional and mature impression than Heitinga. I think it would be good for both teams to appoint a different coach. We have seen in the competition at Feyenoord what impact the appointment of Arne Slot has had, who has taken Feyenoord to unprecedented heights with his vision and way of playing. Erik ten Hag was also a tyrant, but he really won't go back to Ajax, unless he has to be fired from United.

Every transfer window sees Manchester United linked with a number of players so perhaps a new signing could take the number 7 shirt. As the manager looks to strengthen his attacking options, one name that springs to mind is Cody Gakpo the dutch winger has impressed for PSV this season and looks set to sign for United in the summer, but a deal has failed to materialise. But the Red Devils have been given a boost as it is reported that there are more important factors than PSV squad numbers Like winning trophies.

Twente - Sparta was a goal-rich draw: 3-3. A result that we have seen more and more in the football competitions lately. But most eyes are on the PSV - Ajax match, which currently results in a 1-0 lead for PSV. But Ajax should really not lose this, otherwise it will most likely be a 3rd place and it could also be possible that Ajax will become 4th, in both cases of course a failure. Look at Ajax's budget, those are dizzying numbers. I think it also has a lot to do with the trianer, Svhreuder and now also Heitinga are of course not top trainers and Heitnga has no experience whatsoever. I would only keep Heitinga as Interim trainer.

It will now be a very difficult story for Ajax, PSV has just made the 2-0 and I think it is the end of the story in this match. I also think that we should not burden and condemn Heitinga too much, he arrives at Ajax at an exciting moment, he still won the first 6 matches, but that was against many low flyers. Erik ten Hag was a great coach, when he left the empire at Ajax collapsed. Spent over 100 million on players and then another mess on the pitch. They have appointed a new technical director, but the question is whether he has the capacity to put things in order.

When you see remaining games of Feyenoord, it's difficult to imagine how they can manage to waste 8 points lead. So, tomorrow's PSV - Ajax is game for 2nd place. Difficult to see favorite here, both teams are playing good recently. But we can expect many goals I think. Haven't checked odds, but over 2.5 goals looks like easy money.

Feyenoord can no longer be caught and will deservedly become champions this year. Ajax against PSV is very difficult to assess, but I think Ajax will win with a goal difference and thus also become vice-champion.
Feyenoord championship success is already secured, it's only left to be announced. The struggle is now from the second position downward. PSV now seem unyielding, Van Nistelroy team is just 7 point below Ajax and he doesn't want to give up on the hunt for the second position in the standing.  PSV last 5 matches was of good result than Ajax, but ajax as it stands still needs much points to back up their feet in the second position.  Ajax players are of good condition same as PSV, with this the match will be very tough. I will bet on Ajax to win, sighting from their performance against Feyenoord.

Feyenoord is taking on Utrecht this afternoon and probably hoping for a draw in a match of the day, where PSV is playing Ajax

interesting odds on PSV vs Ajax, Ajax being an underdog @3.15, which is a value bet IMO, both teams have similar chances to win, and I would always put money on better odds in that case
PSV is playing at home, but does not mean a lot in their case

Feyenoord will most likely declare his title when he gets 2 more wins. There is a critical match to be played between Psv and Ajax tomorrow, and the loser of this match will say goodbye psychologically, even if he does not say goodbye to the championship mathematically. Feyenoor is now 8 points ahead of both teams. Feyenoord has been eliminated from the UEFA Europa League, now there is only one goal, and that is to complete their league as champions. For this, the worst 2 wins and 1 draw are enough. He declares his championship next week. He plays good football as a team. This year the championship will go to Rotterdam.

Feyenoord was eliminated from the Europa League after losing against Roma. Now their only aim is to perform well in the Eredivisie league. And I think the performance of Feyenoord will be more stable now in the Eredivisie league. This season's champions will be Feyenoord. Both Ajax and PSV are fighting for the second place in the table. The points of these two teams are now equal. They scored 62 points in 29 matches. And so it is impossible to predict which team will finish second in the table at this moment. Both teams have strong squads.
