PSV won game 0:1 after scoring late goal in end of 2nd half. Peter Bosz starts his career by winning Super Cup with new club and it's already 3rd Super Cup trophy in a row for PSV. I expected a bit more goals, but I'm not disappointed about final, it was good to watch.

Twente ever since they came back to the league are better and better each year. Both Ajax and PSV have been lacking last couple of seasons so i dont see them winning the title. Feyenord might win it ,they are really good this season but will have a hard fight against PSV and Ajax.

So now we are heading for the Super Cup which is going to start in few minutes both teams already in ground with line-up is also announced for the match Feyenoord is going to defend their title in this season with now having PSV as opponent for this Super Cup and it looks like things are very competitive for the both teams even Feyenoord is having good chance of defending and giving their best, but now they are also going to have face challenges from Ajax, PSV and Twente which are never been easy teams to face hopefully we will have another exciting and action packed season with goals will become like rain I really love Eredivisie because of their number of goals which I never have in any other league it's amazing stuff from these teams.

We are so close to the start of the season of Eredivisie, so for you wich team its gonna be the surprise this year? Last season was Sparta Roterdam, and now?

I really want to see if Twente can make a step up this year and fight for something more, last year they were playing really good but lacking goal and regularity.

Feyenoord had a great season with Arne Slot last year. They won the league and reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League. I am sure Feyenoord fans had a very happy last season. In the summer transfer window Orkun Kökçü left Feyenoord and moved to Benfica. This transfer was an important loss for them. But they replaced Orkun Kökçü with Calvin Stengs. On the other hand, PSV Eindhoven will start the season with Peter Bosz replacing Ruud Van Nilstelroy. I think it will be an interesting and exciting match. But it's hard for me to predict which team will win.

Ere divisie is set to begin next week, and this Friday SuperCup between Feyenoord and PSV is there to introduce it

Feyenoord took title after few lousy seasons, and have solid team to try and defend it, while PSV took cup and finished second in a season that is all but fail for them, especially compared to Ajax season

match is open, Feyenoord is playing at home, so a bit of a favorite by bookies, but goals are probably easier to catch
nevertheless, should be nice to watch

Maybe we are understimating some other things, like the percentage of wins in debut of Ajax or the head to head between Ajax and Heracles almelo, take an eye on that, because the bookies usually takes that info into account to make the odds.

Sometimes we get hooked on X odds because we thing they are so low or high but we dont know some fun facts or historical numbers.

At first I thought you might have made a very interesting observation here, but it really is standard and I also checked it on a bookie platform. For instance, Bayern Munich plays against Bremen away as a season opener and the odds for Bayern are 1.25 against an established Bundesliga club that plays in their home stadium.

Atletico Madrid is 1.28 in a home game against Granada.

Manchester City is 1.27 away against Burnley.

Keep in mind that in all of these games the teams are huge favorites. Heracles Almelo was just promoted to the Eredivisie and they are playing against what most would call the best team in the league and they play away from home. I think the odds are ok.

I don't know if you've already seen it, but today I saw that the schedule of this season's games was already available at stake, and I confess that I'm a little shocked by the odds, for example, Ajax will play against Heracles Almelo, the odds are at @1.16 in case ajax wins the game, honestly I see it being a very low odd and it looks like ajax will be very strong this season, I would even accept an odd of @1.60 but for some reason the bookmakers are putting ajax as the overwhelming favourite, another game that I also found strange at odds is Feyenoord's game against Fortuna Sittard, Fortuna Sittard is at odds of @14.00 while Feyenoord is at odds of @1.16 despite Feyenoord being a strong team that won the league last season

this being the first match of the league I expected that at least the odds for this and other games of the big teams would be above @1.50 but from what I see the bookmakers are very convinced that the big teams won't have difficulties in winning the games , but it seems that in the case of PSV Eindhoven
bookmakers predict a complicated scenario for PSV Eindhoven who are being seen as the favorites but the odd is at @1.29 something that I believe will increase and their opponent FC Utrecht is at odds of @8.80

the games will start on the 11th of this month, but I am already starting my analysis to bet, for now I see PSV, Feyenoord and ajax as the teams that I will place in my multibet bet, in the case of PSV I will have to be more careful and if I see that the odd has gone up a lot and there is some bad news, I will not put it in my multibet bet

Ah I see, of course that is one of the best examples I think for clubs raising young talents, RedBull Salzburg and RedBull Leipzig and they also have RedBull Brasil and RedBull Bragantino and New York RedBulls. I think that comes closer to a serious talent raising industry, but they are doing a good job and understand the timings for their players as far as I can remember. Their decisions to transfer between their franchises have been well considered in the cases I know.

But I would not call Ajax Amsterdam a training club. I get your point and understand what you are saying, but they are a bit in between being a pure training club and also (because they are doing it so well) a club with justified high ambitions sometimes, depending on how well their team is composed not only of young talents, but of players who are ahead of the age-performance curve.

I really like to watch Ajax when they have a competitive team full of these 18 and 19 and 20 years old players who show the old hands from the world class clubs what's up! I think that is motivating and commendable for all the young kids who are dreaming high.

Ajax is widely acknowledged for their domination in the Dutch league, and the team has talented players who work hard to grab the attention of their fans and the club; they're constantly two steps ahead of their opponents. The Godenzonen are enthusiastic to part with their best players, lowering the team's performance slightly. Ajax is similar to Borussia Dortmund in that they keep their finest players on the market every transfer window because they are entirely focused on profit.

Yes, the problem with RedBUll teams its maybe a little more complicated, because you are part of a unit of business, so you cant not give the players to another RB bigger brother.

I think Ajax can make a good top team, if they find some players who want to not follow salary, a combination between young stars of the club and some old players.

Yes, exactly, they are already (unfortunately) only a training club and have to give away their best players as long as they still have sufficient contracts, if the young players do not extend their contracts with the training club, they go free after that time. It's the same here in Austria with RedBull Salzburg, where there is still the possibility to go to Leipzig and play in the German Bundesliga/Champions League, but even there they can't keep the players longer.

We'll see how Ajax digest the upheaval after this year and whether they are strong enough to play for the Europa League and Eredivisie titles.

This is what they are used to and what they have perfected over many years. They are one of the few clubs that are essentially known for raising younger players and high potential talents and then sell them, but not because they want to sell them, but because they have to.

But I still like to follow the Eredivisie as they do have exciting games and it becomes more interesting when one of their top clubs also stands up in the Champions League and causes some of the favorites some serious problems. They should never be underestimated although I do expect them to be not as strong this season. Hopefully I'll be wrong and they can do some honor to their names.

The departures of players and coaches was just too much for Ajax last year and they couldn't stabilise, but I think Ajax will manage and build a new team again, but I don't think it will be enough for more than 5 years.

@Koal-84 i think they'll even be dominant for more than 5 years a estimated by you and continue to produce quality players because they've got a good scouting network, and an academy that promotes young and talented prospects also a chief executive officer in person of Edwin Van Der Sar who was a former player for the club before he moved to Manchester united and returned to the club, for the past years they've been dominant in the league and challenged for the champions severally and produced a very tough squad with young and talented players that challenged in the 2018/19 champion league tournament and reached the semifinals again after 1997 when they beat Madrid.

 But the best Ajax team is the 1995 squad that had 48 match unbeaten run, in both league matches and European competitions, they it would take a while to replicate such squad again that would be very competitive in the Champions League title well,  we'll know with time, but I think they'll face a competition this season with their rival like PSV and Feyenoord now very tough and competitive as them in the recent times

I would agree that Ajax has always been the dominant team in the Dutch league, but in my opinion Ajax also laid the dominant foundation with its "miracle team" in 1995. With the Champions League win and the money available, the academy was created and Ajax always needed talents and then sold them for a profit.

Due to the financially stronger leagues in England, Spain and Germany, it was unfortunately almost impossible to keep a team together to win the Champions League again, but that's the way it is. I think Ajax will again play a dominant role in the Dutch league for the next 5 years.

not sure about Vitesse, but Groningen has a solid fan base, maybe not that large, but passionate

AFAIK, Feyenoord and Ajax have much larger fan base compared to PSV, but that is also subjective
although fan base doesn't make a team good, some teams are full of money, no fan base and still within top each year
AZ also does not have large fan base, as far as I know, but that doesn't make them bad team

Ajax were known to be the dominant club in the Dutch League over the years but Feyenoord has recently shown that the Dutch League isn't a one club show and that's a good advertisement of the league to the rest of the world.
Ajax main problem is how to keep their best players at the club for a longer time because they're always priced away from them by the big European heavyweights who are more financially capacitated than Ajax. Many European clubs are currently offering great deals to sign Kudus away from the club this summer

I dont live on Netherlands so i dont know really how big are really the teams, im talking about history and fans ammounts, and im refering to pure fans, the ones from the city of the club not foreigns who comes to see the game for hype.

I think Groningen and Vitesse have a very big base of fans, can anyone confirm?
