Exactly, the Eredivisie is only behind England in comparison to the other European TOP leagues the last year. I don't think this is possible every year, but if they always stay between 10,000 and 15,000 points on average, it will be difficult for France. With a bit of luck, the Eredivisie could catch up with Italy, but that will be very difficult, because Ajax and PSV would have to improve their quality and get through the group stage in the Champions League every year.
In this situation, Is it possible to add a club from Eredivisie to the champion league zone?. because when only 1 club between them, The competition is not so tight, just around Ajax, Psv maybe a bit Feyenoord and AZ on the circle. so if there is only 1 club participating champion league, that is no longer to beat and chase points, the other club is just a compliment Eredivisie.

interesting data, Ere is obviously just behind top5 European leagues, and they could even go onto position 5 in following years
that should not surprise us, since Feyenoord played last year final of Conference league, and Ajax was very good in Champions league

this season they are pretty good as well, with AZ, PSV, Feyenoord all passing into next rounds, and Ajax slide from CL to Europa league, where they can go far

The Eredivision has definitely got more quality in the last 1.5 years which also shows the 5 year ranking with 19200 points last year and this year the teams have already collected more points than 3 years before the 19200 points.

In this season, we have improvement in quality from few teams and look like we are going to have an exciting end of the season which is currently allowing all five teams a fair chance for the title race with after break as we have all top four teams ended with draws and only Tewnte were able to win their match and cut the gap for having close range with third rank PSV which is just three points behind from leaders Feyenoord.

Due to high demand of Ajax and PSV top players in other big clubs now these both teams are suffering and trying to keep momentum which is surely not easy because top players were giving them good advantage and better quality which was surely doing good results as well for them but now all on same level.

Even though I think Ajax lost a lot of quality over the summer.

Twente can't actually be a title candidate, can it? They are in a good 4th place but becoming first seems impossible. Ajax is having a somewhat lesser period now and the same applies to PSV. But look at the content of the selections and compare that with a team like Twente. Then they could actually just finish in the top 10. If they finished 4th they would have had a great season I think. But you don't know, if they win the match against Ajax, it will also be a very long year for Ajax. Ajax has a huge budget and actually made very moderate purchases at the start of this season. The loss of Haller could not be accommodated.
Twente is a title candidate like any other of the 4 teams, Ajax lost some very important players in the summer which brought them a lot of money but also quality is lost. In addition, the coach left in the summer and that could be the biggest problem. For us spectators, such a season is of course very good, normally it is always a duel between Ajax and PSV.

The match between fortuna sittard and psv will be bring a good out for psv, in the last five meetings between this two clubs psv has shown a high level of superiority over fortuna sitard that's to say the have won all their last matches with fortuna sitard and now psv is in third position, psv has won all their last matches except their match with Az alkmaar that the lost 1:0 and their draw with sparta .

Almost all top teams have lost points. Of the top 4, only Twente managed to win their match. The fact that Feyenoord could not win against Utrecht can still happen, but Ajax should have won against NEC and especially PSV at home against Sparta should not be a problem. Twente might be a serious title contender. Next weekend we have the Ajax-Twente match. Then we can see how good Twente really is. The last time Twente became champion was in the 2009/2010 season. Twente was a relegation candidate a few years ago and always played at the bottom. It's nice that they were able to turn it around like that. PSV misses Gakpo who went to Liverpool. Perhaps Twente and Feyenoord are playing the best of all teams at the moment.

So, main winners of this round is Twente - only team from leading group which managed to win. And Feyenoord continue to lead, despite draw today.

I would argue that it is Feyenoord after all, they had toughest task to win this weekend from top3, and they didn't win, but rivals didn't win neither, and they stayed on top
interesting round, lot of unusual results, not sure is it because of break, or just a weird round, but looking good to have five times within four points difference, hopefully will stay for more rounds like this

In any case, the big winner of the first round after the winter break is Twente. Due to the many draws, no team in the TOP 5 was able to gain points apart from Twente. So Twente moved up to the TOP 5 and the first 5 teams are only 4 points apart after 15 rounds.

and Ajax, should Ajax win today. The Ajax game will start in the next few minutes.
This post didn't aged well because Ajax surprisingly didn't managed to beat Nijmegen and ended game 1:1. So, main winners of this round is Twente - only team from leading group which managed to win. And Feyenoord continue to lead, despite draw today.
This was first round after long break, so mostly teams were not able to perform as they were doing before break hopefully things could be better in next few weeks but most chances Feyenoord could be at the top for few weeks because they are much better and have most matches against weaker sides which will help them for staying at the top Ajax which was leading before break but suddenly after losing against PSV their performance is also on decline which is needed to be settled hopefully they will have few good players in this transfer window which will help them for having better performance interestingly we have too many draws in this first round after break.

Exactly Sparta is solid this year and will probably reach the EuFA Cup places. Feyenoord also dropped points today with a 1-1 draw, the winners of this first round after the winter break could clearly be Twente and Ajax, should Ajax win today. The Ajax game will start in the next few minutes.

In any case, PSV got off to a false start today with the draw against Sparta. At the same time, Twente's win has brought them up to the top of the table. Now we have to wait and see what Ajax and Feyenoord will do tomorrow, but I don't think they will make a false start?
I watched part of PSV game today and from what I saw, they didn't were better team on the pitch. This season Sparta is looking solid and they have potential to fight for UEFA spots. Today another team which have ambitions to fight for title dropped points. AZ Alkmaar ended their game with Vitesse 1:1. AZ took a lead first, but it din't lasted long and Vitesse made score 1:1 in the end of game.
Current leaders Feyenoord will go to Utrecht and it's going to be difficult game and their loss or draw wouldn't be big surprise. And it would be chance for Ajax to return to the 1st place.

So far their last 3 performance is better than Ajax and PSV, by winning in the last 3 matches that make Feyenoord very confident to keep stay on 1st or at least on top 3, Because if they lost once and Ajax win, the position is immediately changed, the goal difference is not better than both. the betting exchange shows us if Feyenoord is still a favorite, they have an odd 1,8 while Utrecht has 3,8 and draws 3,9.

After the winter break and the World Cup, it is very difficult to say how the teams will start the spring season. But soon we will know more and none of the 3 leaders can really drop points if they want to become champions.

Finally the Eredivisie continues this week, and I'm most curious to see if Feyenoord can keep up their good form or if Ajax and PSV can win the title as usual.

~snip

yeah, start over Utrecht is never easy, and Feyenoord would have to earn points there, that is for sure
PSV has easier task, home play against Sparta, while Ajax had a bit harder task to win in Nijmegen, but that should not be hard as well

hopefully, season will continue to interesting and trio fight, but I doubt in Feyenoord chances to stay for long in the loop
