This was a pretty interesting week in the league to be honest.

Ajax were too unlucky this week. Because they dominated the match completely against Go Ahead Eagles just as expected. However they were still stuck at only one goal. And it was like a miracle that their opponent found a goal by their only shot in the second half. They stole one point thanks to this goal and this 1-1 draw must have dropped the morale of Ajax players before their Champions League match.

On one hand, Cambuur's performance was really mesmerizing. They played like they should against PSV and they weren't afraid of their opponent at all indeed. By a great effort in the second half they literally destroyed PSV 3-0. PSV players must have been unprepared against a performance like this. AZ took advantage of this big chance and have taken the lead by defeating Groningen. The current competition in the standings is really lovely even though I feel confident that PSV - Ajax duo will be the only teams in the title race at one point.

Ajax also appears to be vulnerable. Not being able to beat a mediocre team at home and therefore lead 1-0. I think Ajax is currently underestimating the competition. It is often far too easy. And what about PSV who lost 3-0? Feyenoord also failed to win today. Of all the teams that I would put at the top after 8 games, AZ would be the last. However, they are really at the top. This could be a really weird season. I don't see Ajax making any big steps for the time being due to a new turn this weekend. They also have to play against Napoli next week, if they also lose that match, it will have a lot of consequences for the form in the competition.

No one expected that Cambuur would win against PSV, not only that, maybe people didn't even expect Cambuur to put pressure on their shooting attempts. If PSV get the same result again in the next matches, then it is certain that Ajax will get the Eredivisie title again for this season. On the other hand Ajax are winning 1-0 from Go Ahead Eagles, this will widen the gap between Ajax and PSV.
Don't hurry with awarding title to Ajax. Despite scoring first, they didn't managed to win against G. A. Eagles, game ended 1:1. Didn't watched game, but from stats it looks like Ajax dominated completely and Eagles scored out of nowhere.
Another potential contender Feynoord didn't managed to beat Nijmegen. So, main winner of this round is AZ who managed to take a lead. Twente also managed to get closer to the top teams.

The fact that PSV is far from stable has proven to be an honor today. Ajax also seemed slightly taken aback in recent weeks, but what happened to PSV today would never happen to Ajax. Losing 3-0 to a team that has to fight against relegation. How are you going to explain that if you want to compete for the championship? It's nice about the Eredivisie that all teams can beat each other, with Ajax of course normally being the exception. Ajax is now also playing football and is on a 1-0 lead, but we have just reached the break. There will still be way goals. And next week the CL so possibly some players get some rest.

Even Ajax and PSV both are going to be tough challengers for title, but we can expect good fight from others and Feyenoord, Twente are also doing good as they are also looking for place in UEFA competitions for next season look like all three teams are going to win in tomorrow matches after break as opponents are not good enough.
Every season in the Eredivise league we see the dominance of Ajax and PSV. These two teams are at the top of the table with 18 points this season as well. However, Feyenoord started the season quite well. They would have been at the top of the points table if they had not lost the last match and lost the points. Winning the title won't be easy for PSV or Ajax. Alkmaar and Feyenoord are playing well this season.
PSV faced second defeat of this season as they lost second consecutive away match and have thumbing lost against Cambuur with this defeat now they can drop to fourth because Ajax is already at the top and AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord both have good chance for taking over from their current position with this now things could be more interesting because PSV is now feeling heat even this is just eight round but with this big defeat their defence is exposed, and now they need to work on this if they want to stay at the top with this season is having good challenges for both giants in this Dutch League.

Ajax is surely now having good chance for taking lead even It's too early but with this second defeat of PSV Dutch League is going to be wide open for few other teams, and they can develop their quality if they want to be in touch for title race which is surely possible.

Did anyone watched Cambuur - PSV game? It had very unexpected outcome, hosts won 3:0. 1st their goal was amazing, on the other hand, PSV goalkeeper Benitez had to save this ball. After scoring goal Cambuur didn't stopped to attack and didn't parked a bus. And they managed to score 2 more goals.
On live table AZ Alkmaar is leading after their win against Groningen, but Ajax game with G.A. Eagles just started, if they will win, Ajax will be leaders again.

did not watched the match, but really surprising to see PSV down 3:0 in domestic league, and they did not play with Ajax
AZ on top, at least few hours Smiley, although Ajax is still goalless, but only 25 minutes gone so far

looking at stats, PSV did not dominate the match either, 55% possession, and just one more shot on target than Cambuur

Napoli is at the top with two out of two wins against Liverpool at home and Rangers in away match for this match I have feeling Ajax can do good and surely any positive result could be helpful for them to go through into next round but still it's not going to be easy as currently Napoli is in amazing shape and having good run in last few matches which is surely going to be plus point for them in this match, but this group is going to be one of the most interesting groups as all three teams are in same level and having chance for going into next round.
They are in a hell group, Ajax will face a strong club that needs to concentrate. They were also not good in the last 2 matches (lost versus Liverpool and AZ) which must get up and repair the situation if still want to be seen as a great club. As we know Ajax has lost a lot of core players who move to the opponent so it this not instant to form new players as what they need. So next, winning versus Go Ahead Eagles is a must to step next Champions league competition and Eredivisie.

First off, Ajax and PSV are in equal points, AZ is separated from them with 1 point not 2 , it is Feyenoord that is separated from Ajax and PSV by 2 points. About the fixtures this week, I don't think the 4 teams will win their games considering the fatigue and injuries that some players especially top players have encountered during the international duties for their countries.PS, I think the matches are going to be difficult for Feyenoord and AZ who will be playing at away, Ajax is going to play at home and they shouldn't find it impossible to defeat Go Ahead Eagles that have won just two matches since this season likewise PSV and Cambuur match I think PSV will win easily.
Today we are heading for 8th round matches which are mostly easy for top ranked teams because they are already having good gape and quality is also at the top just AZ Alkmaar is only team from top five which is undefeated and with this look like this season is going to be very interesting because most of the teams are doing good job and have developed some better strategy for having better result and good end of the season.

Even Ajax and PSV both are going to be tough challengers for title, but we can expect good fight from others and Feyenoord, Twente are also doing good as they are also looking for place in UEFA competitions for next season look like all three teams are going to win in tomorrow matches after break as opponents are not good enough.

This weekend there are finally games in the Eredivisie again after the international break, I'm curious how the teams come out of the break. Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord and AZ are separated by only 2 points and there is no direct duel this weekend. Normally, the 4 teams should win their games.

As long as we don't see any improvement in strength from some of the remaining teams in the league, Ajax and PSV will continue to dominate the Eredivisie.

~snip

it is really hard to expect a change there, one great season for some other team (based on some youngster inspiration), but Ajax and PSV are getting most titles all the time, maybe Feyenoord could have it here and there

Twente, AZ and similar teams are good to fill-in top5 places, but mostly to reach positions 3 to 5

you can see that by odds, PSV is playing away, against Cambuur, they have almost a whole team injured, and odds for a win is below @1.3

Actually in the recent years Ajax have been the dominating team. They have won three times in a row and I wonder if PSV can put an end to their dominance finally in this season. Because they seem even more solid now in the league. They are the most effective team in offense now as they have scored 28 goals 7 games. They are in the lead maybe but they are sharing the points with Ajax. It feels like this equality in points won't change until they face each other. Their first head-to-head game is on November 6. The result of that game would make some things clearer than before for the championship.

It all seemed and decided race. Ajax was doing very well in the Champions League and PSV has not even qualified for the CL. We now see that PSV has taken over and it is not so clear anymore. We should also take Feyenoord into account. Ajax is the favorite for the title, but PSV is closer than originally thought. If you become champion with that selection of Ajax, then that is a failure. The budget of Ajax is almost more than the rest of the Eredivisie put together. It is actually the Bayern Munich of the Netherlands, only they have a very bad start and Ajax a reasonable one. I also expect a few things from Twente.

Competition in the Eredivisie is only about PSV and Ajax, even so, Ajax appear to dominate in the league in general, it can be seen from the last 4 seasons that only they have won the league there.

Referring to the current Eredivisie standings, the points from Ajax and PSV are 18 points, it's still early in the league, maybe we will see which team will win the league after half of the game has been running. I think, Ajax will be the winner of the league title for the 5th time in a row.

About Twente, we can't expect much from them, season after season they are just a middle-class team that won't be able to win the league.

I don't think it will be very exciting. We have only played few games in the league. We have seen crazier things in the competition in the Netherlands. Ajax may be having a hard time right now, but it has considerable status in the Champions League, which PSV has not been able to qualify for for a few years. The last national championships have also all gone to Ajax, based on that information we can easily conclude that Ajax is a much stronger team. Or just look at the market value of the players. It may be just as exciting until the winter break, after which Ajax will walk away from PSV and possibly Feyenoord.

The possibility of Ajax progressing to the next stage is possible given that they do the unthinkable and outshine Liverpool and an informed table leader Napoli to be ahead and make Liverpool third on the group very possible. I can't put them off because they have all it takes to make it to the next stage even as they continue to do great in their home league, For PSV, I think they need more good players to back up their performance this season if they want to keep to this form. The season just got started so probably they may continue to be informed or they drop points along the way, Az and Feyenoord need more good players to contend with Ajax and PSV in the league.
On papers and in discussion many things are possible but in reality we have to wait for match which will be played in ground, and then we can give better view about this after international break Ajax is going to host Napoli in Champions League and this is first meeting between these two sides in this competition.

Ajax's squad will probably be easily sufficient for their own league, but in the Champions League Ajax have got a very strong group, so it will be difficult to qualify for the last 16
~snip

almost impossible to reach next stage I would say, Napoli is playing great, and somehow I do not see Liverpool out, so Ajax has to be third
but in homeland division, they will do well, PSV is explosive this season, but I am not sure they can play whole season like this, and would probably drop-out at some point

AZ and Feyenoord are just not that level to stay in fight until the end
