I never thought I would see AZ Alkmaar at the top of the table. I am not calling AZ Alkmaar a weak team. But I thought PSV would maintain their dominance in the league this season. Because Ajax sold several of their key players this season is quite weak compared to the previous season. With this opportunity, PSV's chances of winning the title this season were high. But PSV are now third in the table. But at any time we can see the change of teams in the points table. Because their points gap is very narrow. So if Ajax or AZ Alkmaar lose a point in any match, PSV has a chance to go top of the points table. All these three teams are likely to fight for the title this season.

Today we have no matches from AZ, Ajax and also PSV. Of course, with a very low points difference, we'll see changes every week in the Eredivisie.

If we refer to the match schedule, most likely we'll not see AZ Alkmaar at the top of the standings, because they will compete with Feyenoord which is also a strong team in the Eredivisie, Ajax are strong candidates to be at the top of the standings because they will only face Excelsior, LOL .

Ajax is missing their coach and few players from last year so that has a big effect on them. They will still fight for the title but Ajax can maybe try and do something big in the europe league as well. PSV is really strong this season and i think this might be their year and end Ajax streak.
AZ Alkmaar lead the Eredivisie standings at the moment, they are only 1 point different from Ajax and 2 points from PSV who are in second and third place. However, of the 34 matches, we have only seen 9 matches, which means there are still a lot of possibilities that will happen in the league.

IMO, Ajax will again be the Eredivisie champions for this season, apart from them, we have PSV for the second possibility. There will be no place for AZ to continue to be in first place in the standings.

Ajax won all matches in the CL last year, but that was a group with considerably less strong opposition. No shame they're out now. They can focus on the competition again in the coming period. They will still have to fight to be 3rd in the group. PSV has more self-confidence at the moment due to the ear washing against Zurich again (won both matches). I am curious how long AZ can keep this level and point total. They have had to let many players leave in recent years and that also applies to Feyenoord. Then you also see how good that Arne Slot is, this season with 11 new players also put together a good team that participates at the top. But the battle for the championship is between Ajax and PSV. Perhaps AZ is more than just an outsider.

Ajax is not able to produce a breakthrough performance like last season. Because they have sold all the important players in their squad. They made a lot of money. But the team has weakened somewhat. Now Ajax continues to look for young talented players. I think we will see a stable and strong performance from Ajax after the winter transfer.

Lost most of the core players last season and his tactician clearly had a big hand behind their failure in the Champions League this season.
Now they are absolutely certain they will be in the Europa League in my opinion and this is clearly the opposite of what they were last season.
But indeed for the Eredivisie they can still be like last season and obviously there is still a big chance for the Eredivisie.

I also think that Ajax will focus on the Europa League and will certainly buy one or the other player in the winter, the departures were too much. But you have to admit that they got a very strong group with Napoli and Liverpool, but that shouldn't be an excuse, as you wrote, last year they had one of the best defences and this year they scored an unusually high number of goals.

group was strong, but we should not forget that last year group was also solid, and they were marvelous, this season they are simply playing worse
but, Europa league should be secured, Rangers is too low (really shame, bearing in mind being so close to Europa league trophy last season)

PSV and Feyenoord have solid chances to secure next stage in Europa league as well, while AZ almost secured next stage in Conference, holding Dutch football above level

I assume Ajax would start focusing on the Eredivisie completely from now on. Because Liverpool are about to defeat Rangers 3-1 so the point gap will be 6 with them. It is nearly impossible for Ajax to make a comeback from this. Their main target will be winning the Eredivisie title again.
Look yes, Ajax's performance is changed so much for this session, maybe because too many new players have difficult adaption and hard to implement the new strategy. And, When Ajax begin to focus to only In Eredivisie, they will face AZ and PSV on top, Both are look on fire especially AZ where never lost on the last 15 match. so when look the situation, seems difficult to winning the Eredivisie title also. If hard, there is another event where must they focusing also, the Europa league.

It is clear that we should certainly not write off AZ this season. And we can also expect a few things from Twente. For many people and also for the bookmakers, Ajax remains the favorite to win the title. Perhaps Ajax's dip in form can be justified somehow because they have had opponents of a considerable caliber. Lost 4 games, but that included 2 games against Napoli, 1x Liverpool away and 1x AZ away. AZ is a good team, you can easily run into a defeat there on a bad day. Ajax did not handle it well tactically against Volendam and you can blame the trainer for that. If you are 0-3 and get your good players out, then you have to wait until Volendam will find the connection and it was almost 3-3. Ajax has an inexperienced coach in Schreuder, which will cause them even more difficulties that are unnecessary in my eyes.

Ajax are about to be eliminated in the Champions League. They have performed too poorly against Liverpool and Napoli in defense and offense both. Especially their conceding 10 goals from Napoli in 2 matches is just horrible. We have watched Ajax stronger than this so far in the Champions League so the management must be expectant from them. Even though it is a tough group they would at least like to see the players making a big effort to qualify from the group.

In the international matches, even if Ajax has strong opponents in the Champions League, you can see the deficits due to the departures, which is also reflected in the national league. That's why I think Ajax will strengthen themselves in the winter, especially in defence, if they come third in the group stage. We don't know these deficits from last year, when they become not very few goals.

If they don't make it through the group stage, it should still be enough for them to win the eredivisie, the departures are doing more harm than expected.

There is no doubt we have positive development in Dutch League with there was dominance of just two teams which is not split into four as AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord are improving quality and PSV and Ajax have to fight hard for their ranks at the top currently just one team is undefeated.

Their defence is surely tight from other contenders as they are improving day by day now in next tenth round they are going to host Feyenoord which could be entertaining match as visitors are at fourth spot and have good form in case of lost or draw for home side they can slip at fourth and Ajax or PSV could be leader again but right now as their form working for them most chances they could be good and will stay at top for some more weeks without any trouble, but surely things are going to be change as right now we have around 24 more rounds left in this season.

It is always good when a league is more balanced than when only one or possibly two teams can win the championship, see Germany, Austria (where only one can actually win) and Spain.

Ajax got a lot of money through their departures but also lost a lot of quality, and I think if it could get tight in the winter they will definitely get new players with quality. But you say it, the season goes on for a long time...

This year everything is really close, yesterday all four leaders won their games, but in the next round there is a direct duel between AZ (who are surprisingly strong this year) and Feyenoord, so there could be one or two teams who benefit from that. Or Feyenoord could lose the connection to the top.

Ajax got the compulsory win yesterday, but it was strange that they conceded 2 goals at the end of the game. Feyenoord and AZ are currently leading 1:0, but we'll see if PSV can keep up in the evening. At the moment it's still very tight in the championship and not only between PSV and Ajax.

PSV Eindhoven achieved an important victory, even if they only managed to score 1 goal, the most important thing is that they achieved a victory and with this result they are in the third position of the table and there is only a little difference in points with the current leader, I believe that this season we will see a lot of competition, the fight will be tougher in the top teams

Go Ahead Eagles 0 - 0 Cambuur

I didn't bet on this game and from what I see it was a good choice I made

FC Utrecht 1 - 2  AZ Alkmaar

as expected from AZ Alkmaar, they are a strong contender for the title

Feyenoord 2 - 0 Twente

this was a game in which Twente was very unlucky, the red card that the Twente player had, doomed them

Today PSV is going to visit Heerenveen which is having very impressive record at home and surely another challenge for visitors if they want to keep their chances for top two spots Feyenoord is going to host Twente in action packed super Sunday in Dutch League.

all teams that were supposed to win, won their matches, although with a lot of pressure

Feyenoord won 2:0, AZ won in Utrecht 1:2, but they were a better side, and had 0:2 until the overtime, when Utrecht scored one, but was far from equalizer, and PSV won 0:1, goal by Gakpo, and he also scored an agreement with Leeds to get into PL, which could be a good transfer for Leeds, and United was in the race too

Another mediocre match from Ajax. They did win 2-4 but we are talking about Volendam, one of the worst teas in the competition.
~snip
expected more from Ajax, but it was enough to see 6 goals, and all my bets up
it is hard to play against Volendam, match that is already counted as three points, and Ajax let it down after 3:0, just to put some more pressure after two conceived goals

we are yet to see Feyenoord, PSV and AZ in this round, and all have harder opponents, playing away except from Feyenoord that have home match with Twente
Well expected result from Ajax against a team which is having no win in last five matches, but now we have some entertaining matches coming today with unbeatable team AZ Alkmaar is going to visit Utrecht which is also doing good job, and we can expect good performance from both teams in this match which will give better shape to league table because if visitors won then surely this could be pressure on PSV and Ajax for improving quality for rest of the season.
