As long as we don't see any improvement in strength from some of the remaining teams in the league, Ajax and PSV will continue to dominate the Eredivisie.

~snip

it is really hard to expect a change there, one great season for some other team (based on some youngster inspiration), but Ajax and PSV are getting most titles all the time, maybe Feyenoord could have it here and there

Twente, AZ and similar teams are good to fill-in top5 places, but mostly to reach positions 3 to 5

you can see that by odds, PSV is playing away, against Cambuur, they have almost a whole team injured, and odds for a win is below @1.3

Actually in the recent years Ajax have been the dominating team. They have won three times in a row and I wonder if PSV can put an end to their dominance finally in this season. Because they seem even more solid now in the league. They are the most effective team in offense now as they have scored 28 goals 7 games. They are in the lead maybe but they are sharing the points with Ajax. It feels like this equality in points won't change until they face each other. Their first head-to-head game is on November 6. The result of that game would make some things clearer than before for the championship.

It all seemed and decided race. Ajax was doing very well in the Champions League and PSV has not even qualified for the CL. We now see that PSV has taken over and it is not so clear anymore. We should also take Feyenoord into account. Ajax is the favorite for the title, but PSV is closer than originally thought. If you become champion with that selection of Ajax, then that is a failure. The budget of Ajax is almost more than the rest of the Eredivisie put together. It is actually the Bayern Munich of the Netherlands, only they have a very bad start and Ajax a reasonable one. I also expect a few things from Twente.

Competition in the Eredivisie is only about PSV and Ajax, even so, Ajax appear to dominate in the league in general, it can be seen from the last 4 seasons that only they have won the league there.

Referring to the current Eredivisie standings, the points from Ajax and PSV are 18 points, it's still early in the league, maybe we will see which team will win the league after half of the game has been running. I think, Ajax will be the winner of the league title for the 5th time in a row.

About Twente, we can't expect much from them, season after season they are just a middle-class team that won't be able to win the league.

I don't think it will be very exciting. We have only played few games in the league. We have seen crazier things in the competition in the Netherlands. Ajax may be having a hard time right now, but it has considerable status in the Champions League, which PSV has not been able to qualify for for a few years. The last national championships have also all gone to Ajax, based on that information we can easily conclude that Ajax is a much stronger team. Or just look at the market value of the players. It may be just as exciting until the winter break, after which Ajax will walk away from PSV and possibly Feyenoord.

The possibility of Ajax progressing to the next stage is possible given that they do the unthinkable and outshine Liverpool and an informed table leader Napoli to be ahead and make Liverpool third on the group very possible. I can't put them off because they have all it takes to make it to the next stage even as they continue to do great in their home league, For PSV, I think they need more good players to back up their performance this season if they want to keep to this form. The season just got started so probably they may continue to be informed or they drop points along the way, Az and Feyenoord need more good players to contend with Ajax and PSV in the league.
On papers and in discussion many things are possible but in reality we have to wait for match which will be played in ground, and then we can give better view about this after international break Ajax is going to host Napoli in Champions League and this is first meeting between these two sides in this competition.

Napoli is at the top with two out of two wins against Liverpool at home and Rangers in away match for this match I have feeling Ajax can do good and surely any positive result could be helpful for them to go through into next round but still it's not going to be easy as currently Napoli is in amazing shape and having good run in last few matches which is surely going to be plus point for them in this match, but this group is going to be one of the most interesting groups as all three teams are in same level and having chance for going into next round.

Ajax's squad will probably be easily sufficient for their own league, but in the Champions League Ajax have got a very strong group, so it will be difficult to qualify for the last 16
~snip

almost impossible to reach next stage I would say, Napoli is playing great, and somehow I do not see Liverpool out, so Ajax has to be third
but in homeland division, they will do well, PSV is explosive this season, but I am not sure they can play whole season like this, and would probably drop-out at some point

AZ and Feyenoord are just not that level to stay in fight until the end

Ajax's squad will always be sufficient for winning the Eredivisie and having a good run in the Champions League at the same time. It depends on whether they maintain their philosophy about the management of the team. They have been investing into very talented young players for so many years. They are building the team with full of this kind of players regularly. They have got efficiency from this action very much so far and I don't expect them to change this until it starts not to work anymore.

They made so many changes in their squad last summer also but this hasn't affected their performance at all. They are still keeping their high effectiveness in scoring goals.

Ajax is surely in good touch and have amazing start of this season in Dutch League and Champions League with their defeat at Liverpool was bad as most chances they were set for draw which was surely a good for them, and now they are going to host Napoli which is also in good touch but here anything can happen because Ajax is surely not going to be out of Champions League easily because still they have few players which are capable to give them good results in all formats.

Even I am having feeling they can go with draw as well at home against Napoli which is also not bad and with this they can do better against Liverpool as well but in Dutch League they are going to be tough as PSV is surely going to lose few points which are going to help them for title race.

Ajax's squad will probably be easily sufficient for their own league, but in the Champions League Ajax have got a very strong group, so it will be difficult to qualify for the last 16, but should they still make it, they will certainly buy reinforcements here and there in the winter, there should be enough money after the transfers.

Ajax have only lost one game in the league and are second, which also means PSV had a good start, I hope Feyenoord can keep up with them.
The opportunity to qualify for the next round in the Champions League is still there for Ajax because they managed to win 1 win and 1 draw. The record is the same as Liverpool. Liverpool will next face Rangers in their proud stadium, while Ajax must welcome Napoli who are in good form in Serie A.

In the Eredivisie, the competition is tougher because Ajax Amsterdam is flanked by two strong rivals, PSV (1) and AZ (3) who have a great chance of lifting the trophy. PSV and Ajax 18 points, AZ 17 points. Feyenoord 16 points can also rise to shift their position.

Ajax has sold quite a few key players this season. However, their performance is not too weak. They have earned 18 points in 7 matches. They are second in the table as they are behind on goal difference. However, Ajax's match strategy is better than PSV's. PSV's performance is good now but I doubt how long they can maintain this consistency.
In last transfer window Ajax has done good transfers specially most players sold on high price which is good for their finances, and they have no negative impact on quality because now they are having few youths those are doing good job and this is going to be more profitable for them in coming transfer window because their agents are doing good job and giving them quality youths which are having good skills which are helping these youths and Ajax both in positive way.

Currently, they are second in Dutch League with same points but on goals difference they are behind PSV which is having good start of this season after losing their Champions League spot in qualifier it's long season and both teams surely going to be good with Feyenoord is also having good start and good players for having good chance for staying into top ranks for rest of this season.

PSV lost their last match and fell 3 points behind Ajax. Feyenoord are 2 points behind Ajax with a draw. However, PSV's attack is much stronger than Ajax's this season. PSV players scored 23 goals in 5 matches. Ajax players scored 16 goals in 5 matches. The team that can continue to perform consistently well now will be the champions. The chances of Ajax winning the title this season also seem to be high.
I admit, PSV is very productive than Ajax, the different goal is much better 3 points even on the 4th stand. as I know They are still inconsistent, all fans expect them to continue to clean up until on match 5th, but they slipped because of a lack of coordination between defenders. So when you felt Ajax will get the title for this session, I think will come true if PSV still play like this.

There isn't a big strength difference between Ajax and PSV now. They have started the season in the league very similarly.

The only difference is that Ajax are competing the Champions League while PSV are in the Europa League. This is an important one actually because this might cause Ajax to have some struggles in the league when they have a tight schedule. I assume that they wouldn't care less about the Champions League. But this scenario might be different for PSV. They would probably focus on the Eredivisie championship rather than the Europa League. This might help them have a wider gap with Ajax in time. But they also need to be consistent and make a difference in this period of time. They need to keep this up until facing Ajax after five more match weeks.

PSV scored 28 goals in first seven matches this season, with 10 conceived that is more than 5 goals per match (really hard to remember some team that had more than 5 goals per match average in any decent league
AZ is only team that did not lose match this season, but they will drop-out from title race for sure, although win over Ajax is making the race more interesting
Their strategy 4-3-3 is quite accurate and the supplied ball is spit out from the center to forward. but the scheme will change if one of them (forward or midfielder) missing or sold out to another club. They got lucky when didn't let Gakpo go to MU, he was a motor, the top score and assist. he was a complete player for PSV which make the club on the top stand now. And I believe the competition between ajax and psv still continue and be tight until the middle session.

Game between PSV and Feyenoord was sick. 4:3 result says everything about game, both teams simply forgot what is defense. It's first PSV win against Feyenoord since 2018, if I'm not mistaken their didn't managed to win last 9 games in all competitions.
Ajax suffered first defeat this season. They scored early goal against AZ, but hosts were able to respond with 2 goals. Before this loss Ajax had 4 clean sheets in a row and some huge wins. Now they go into international break with 18 points, sharin 1-2 places PSV.

with all this, only Ajax is playing good when comes to European competitions, and they will hardly pass their CL group with Napoli and Liverpool (maybe better for them, they could reach final stages in Europa league for sure)

No doubt PSV is deserving this top rank in Dutch league with their quality and performance because they are doing good job under van Nistelrooy and after amazing win against Feyenoord now they back at their top spot which is bonus for them as they are playing most chances we are going to have amazing season here in Dutch League with many teams are now on same level and can go through for title race because Ajax beaten at AZ Alkmaar and now after end of seven rounds we have only one team AZ Alkmaar which is undefeated with all others are having loses.

Even it is just start of the season but things can go very interesting as now we have few teams which are improved in quality and skilled players which are creating good chances and competition which is very important for having good entertainment in this game now most chances four teams could be on poll for this season.

Yeah, you aren't mistaken. The last time PSV defeated Feyenoord was on February 25, 2018 which was a 3-1 win.

This was one of the most delightful matches I've seen in the recent times. The final score would have been even more interesting than this as both teams wasted some big chances too. However it's a well-deserved victory for PSV as they were much more dangerous than their opponent during the whole match. The man of the match was definitely Gakpo with 1 goal and 3 assists. He was one of the speculated players to leave last summer and PSV must be grateful to him for not doing so.

Ajax's loss against AZ helped PSV to capture the lead thanks to having one more goal difference in total. It feels like this season will be even more fun. I don't know how much AZ and Feyenoord can hold on but they are also in the title race for now. We might be likely to watch a fight between Ajax and PSV after a point and this time might be even tougher.

Very good from PSV so they could close the gap to Ajax, apparently it goes on with Ajax as the last season, after the Champions League games they had in the league again and again the one or other slip-up and loss of points. Now it's the international break, let's see how the teams come back from the break.
