I think the diff retarget is a welcome change. And a Mac OS wallet will do us a lot of good.

I would imagine multipools will jump back on it the moment it retargets and we'll be stuck in a never ending loop Sad

This is already what's happening. With a shorter retarget we will attract hashrate and won't let the coin stagnate.

Just thought I'd drop in to say ya'll are in for a treat in the next few days with RPC. Also, humor is great medicine even if you're not sick.

Screw those penguin pushers anyway. What with their  stable OS's and virus-free environments. Breeds lazyness, apathy and apparently bad attitudes as well.

After taking 5 classes in Cisco systems (Network Basics,WAN,LAN,Switches and Applications), we intentionally infected all 3 OSes out there: Windows, Linux and MAC. Truth be told, MAC is no more secure than the Windows. Actually we infected MAC the quickest, so the false security than Apple is preaching is bogus and I run an anti-virus app on my Hackintosh. Apple products are for people that need a template and/or guide to run technologies. Windows and Linux is more for the tech savvy types.

_________ Jan 10, 2014 NEWS UPDATE _________

A group of RonPaulCoin supporters (Dajackal, instacash, jwill, elbandi, onaboat) are currently working on a new release of the client, including the following highly demanded features:
  • Hard-fork to update the difficulty recalculation time from 24 hours to 1 hour. This will help prevent the difficulty recalculation times from being stuck high.

This is what CAT coin did. This is NOT the way to lead coin that wants to be taken seriously

Hard forked means arbitrarily changing the rules midfight, and after everyone has agreed to certain set of rules.
This is basically admitting the defeat.

Time and again we see here nothing but ANTI Ron Paul views.

It's same like BAILOUTS. Everyone agrees to CAPITALISM, then the moment they fail they start talking about common good, and they want socialism and federal money.

This coin doesn't have other leaders or elders meetings... have you seen any votings here?
We have a leader who is doing hard to make RonPaulCoin successful so at least have some respect for him instead of whining.

And i agree with you that such important decissions should be consulted with community, because we don't want to be involved in centralised coin. We see it as property of all and in such case we own also rights to decide the future and future shape of RPC.

Colinistheman: Bro next time consult such things with us. You aren't owner of this coin and making such fundamental decission can't be made one-sided. You don't want to risk to loose so great community support, because it is a real strenght of RonPaulCoin and only reason it succeded.

As i understand these changes are being made to make client easier to use for cryptonewbies and to not have a long period of high difficulty when interest in coin is lowwer and system can sometimes stuck in place. But this is a predictable mechanics of this coin and changing rules while playing multiplayer game is unfair and risky.

BTW Cheap RPC's to buy people... i told ya to sell high and rebuy lowwer by believers, you didn't want to listen. Or maybe you wait for much lowwer bottom? Wink

We need to use momentum. Dogecoin is rising again and BTC is slowly recovering.

LOL

'have some respect'

Next few sentences over:

'Bro' don't fucking do this again

BWAHAHAHA

At least send him a PM.

You have to make compromises sometimes to survive. If you die, you get nothing.

Better earlier than later.

Let's hope it would not happen again. Next time, let's use promotion and marketing to offset dumping price falls, etc.

Also, please do consider Coin EX for putting up RPC/BTC. This is a great mid-mile stone for RPC, without the overt risk of dilution from cryptsy. Coined up is but a start - it's incredibly laggy and weak.

Thanks Honeypot.

I've reached out to CoinEx multiple times via twitter and email. Let me know via PM if you have any other suggestions or contacts there.

Can i suggest the tray icon not to be the same as others but a simple Gold letter R - surely you don't need me to explain what R stand for? Wink Wink

I would like to suggest to the dev about putting RPC on Coin EX. It's not cryptsy, but at the same time it will serve as a good stepping stone for this coin.

coinex would be great stepping stone, trading there is much smoother than on cryptsy, yes its lacking volume but it would be nice improvement from coinedup

Apparantly crypsy ain't adding anything right now because they are doing security upgrades. It might be best to work hard on the smaller exchanges at this point and try to maintain the price.

Additionally; we need to ensure the hashrate stays to reach the next diff!
