Just a thought for you guys

A few days ago I saw a person here on craigslist trying to scam people into buying a PC for mining claiming it would make them $40 a day mining LTC with only 900khs! I put out an add on there to warn people of this scammer and also included in the add that I was willing to help anyone interested in the world of altcoin mining with getting their rig setup or building one for them..Where am I going with this?

Well I've been getting a few inquiries on it now and with every response I've been also informing them of the new RPC coin:)

In fact the very first e-mail I got the person said

"I’m by no means a computer tech kind of guy, just someone that wants to participate in a liberty/freedom based new world and needs to find good people to help with...hopefully somewhat locally."

It's good to know that probably a lot of the interest people have in mining and digital currencies is to get away from these dead end fiat monetary systems.

This is also why I strongly believe this coin will succeed greatly!

So extrapolating out, if we continue with an average 866.9 secs/block without losing any more hash power, that means the next difficulty change in 2.7 days.   The more we lose, the longer it will take.     Or if we gain, then it will come sooner.

$ calc 866.9*272/86400
        ~2.72912962962962962963

n0nplusultra is correct. The other pools were setup weird and requests to update them have been made. But the diff change is in 272

Just curious.... is there a way to obtain the next difficulty change from ronpaulcoind?

Or I guess maybe you just calculate it from block 1, like so:

$ calc "720-(9088%720)"
        272

Why that difference?
Sorry if it has been asked before, just missed some pages behind.

Tis a fair comment and i have done it .....

We get on cryptsy +1 other exchange and much of this conversation could become irrelevant IMO.

Gets on cryptsy and price could very well double

But gets some media and could even triple

If you look at the bitcoin it more then double or triple. Anything is possible with any coin.

Just to add some actual data to the retarget discussion:

for the last 20 blocks we are averaging 14.45 minutes per block.   This means that confirmations and payouts are presently taking about 7 times longer than designed, based on a 2 minute block target.

Cause buy support is very low now

For those who believe in the coin but are concerned for the difficulty sways, you should keep mining the coin like me.  And for the rest of you, keep dumping your coins cheap so I can buy them.  I just got 16 RPC under .015 haha thanks for the cheap gold... HOLD!
