What you need to do is provide information to pool operators that help them get this up. If you don't know what that is, you probably should not have forked that code and made it libtardian, i mean libertarian, or whataver.

If you don't watch that video, your prostate will be haunted.

"libtardian" really? ok.

The only reason cryptocurrency as we know it exists today is because the current system is broken.  But make sure and down the only person that has been yelling it from the rooftops for most likely longer than you have been alive.
Cute (like that badass matrix background)

I guess you are a McCain fan (claiming arizona and all) or even better an anarchist.
I really hope it is the latter because when bubba shows up at your house and slaps the taste out of your mouth throws you, your servers and your rigs in the bed of his truck and makes your new job cleaning up after his 17 mutts sh!t with only your mouth the luster of anarchism quickly fades.  I am all for as little gubment as possible, like only personal and property rights, but unfortunately that is not possible when the bubba mentality still exists and always will.

This coin had no premine.... the community started it... that person who created the genesis block was a little bit lucky obviously but it wasn't the developer... there is only 1 coin per block so they won't get to far ahead in any case... just mine away!

Use this as your ronpaulcoin.conf file:

rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9026
port=9027
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
gen=0
addnode=108.61.83.36:9027
addnode=71.94.45.245
addnode=93.185.192.72
addnode=84.28.132.1011
addnode=24.7.226.120

and use this with your miner:

one example:   minerd.exe -o localhost:9026 -u yourusername -p yourpassword

You can do this instead of setgenerate true from the console and get a few more cycles...
cgminer or cuda miner would be loads better as well of course...

the ronpaulcoin.conf file goes in    *\appdata\roaming\ronpailcoin\

you can get there from a command console easiest and use notepad to create it...

I will update the topic with the full information. If someone will be so kind as to provide all the connection info in a simple format I will paste it there.

And in response to a few you who expressed doubts... this is a cryptocurrency. It doesn't ask permission. It doesn't abide by laws-- except for those developed by Satoshi Nakamoto-- and it certainly cannot be stopped. Ron Paul Coin to the moon!

You are absolutely correct..you can do whatever you want and act like anarchism is what created all of this, but you will only being buying into your own delusions.  Every coin has a rule set to even work which may be changed by the creator.

But what the majority seem to forget is all new alt coins will have one grand master which is called "public opinion".

It doesn't matter that bitcoin was premined because it had gained massive value before cryptocurrency had ever taken a foothold.
The here and now and future is all together a new beast.

how do I go about mining with my CPU?

See the first post (at the bottom).

I just added full instructions for downloading, adding nodes and CPU mining RonPaulCoin.

Next, we just need some pools. Anyone?

open the console in the wallet(debug menu) and type " setgenerate true * "      * = number of threads you want to mine with.

It would be nice to rename the topic. It seems no one knows what it is already possible to produce a coin  Grin

Change the name to freemarket coin, sounds catchy, and wont have to worry about using ron pauls name

I think it is a great name and not as polarizing as the other 2 I suggested.
And above all else it really captures the whole essence of CryptoCurrency.

And this is cryptocurrency, has no one can stop the development of this coin and make us rename it)
