So still 325 blocks to go.

The pool junkie site on the new wallet says:

Network Info
Difficulty   78.27411168
Est Next Difficulty   4.56327084 (Change in 9 Blocks)
its 325 blocks until the fork...
its 9 blocks until the next diff change...

The odd thing, n0nplusultra says:

Difficulty   78.27411168
Est Next Difficulty   4.56327084 (Change in 345 Blocks)

I think pool junkie has changed to the new retarget rate already. n0nplusultra is accurate on next diff change.

This might be a stupid question, but I'm using the MAC client and I'm wondering if I can still receive/send RPC on that wallet, or do I need to wait for an updated MAC client?
There is an updated Mac client already. No waiting required.

Is there a link to the full source for this? The Linux version is useless as its 32 bit only. And the source included is for the daemon only  Huh

EDIT: NVM seems the repo has been updated as well now https://github.com/ronpaulcoin/ronpaulcoin

JAN 17TH - MANDATORY CLIENT UPDATE ** VERY IMPORTANT **

Download new client here:
http://www.ronpaulcoin.com/version_update.php

Update Details:

Today we are excited to release a new client for RonPaulCoin with highly requested features and most importantly, addressing the difficulty adjustment issue.

Whether you are a miner or not, this is a REQUIRED update for ALL users. This is because this particular update affects the entire RonPaulCoin network.

Exact changes are as follows:

  • Beginning at block # 13650, the difficulty adjustment will occur every 48 blocks (it is currently adjusting every 720 blocks). Additionally, there will now be a 11% maximum difficulty change per adjustment. This will help combat multi-pools and the "stuck" difficulty problem that many of you miners are aware of. This was requested to be fixed by popular vote.
  • The minimum transaction fee has been reduced from 0.001 RPC to 0.0001 RPC
  • Fixed litecoin system tray icon (Windows client)

Notes:

  • Old clients on the RonPaulCoin network will reject transactions sent with the new lower fee until block # 13650, so it is recommended that you manually use 0.001 RPC minimum transfer fee until that block occurs.
  • Failing to update to the new wallet would NOT eradicate your coins. However you would not be able to transfer them until updating to the new wallet.
  • We anticipated a potential increase of hashrate once the news hits (that the difficulty adjustment has been addressed), so we gave ourselves about 320 blocks of safety margin to get the client distributed to all pools.
  • It looks like all is well because 80% of the pools already are using the new client. So now we just need to mine our way to freedom.

Thanks to Tranz, Dajackal and onaboat for this release

http://rpc.pooljunkie.nl is running the updated source in its pool

If wallet 80602 is the accurate version; we're ready for the change Smiley

Can we have a confirmation from which block the fork will occur on?

Wow, so has RPC protocol been already updated with patched code?
