What's the safest way to buy RPC for BTC at this time?

Yep, what Audity said. Just turn on 2FAC for Gmail when you get the time to do so.

Coinedup is fine IF you don't mind Google log in lol.

There was a thread on Bitcointalk specifically for trades, linked in the original post, but that's gone now. There should be a marketplace forum on the Cryptotycoons official RPC forum. Linked below.

But perhaps an ideal place for people to see your [WTB] is right here. Though in the future it might be here http://ronpaulcoin.cryptotycoons.com/RPCForum/index.php?board=3.0

Yes everyone will buy a "currency" where one transaction takes 2 days... But now do a pump, 2-3 days to mining time.

From what was said in the IRC channel I dont hold much hope for this coin. Apparently the "dev" of this coin is using the dev from Hobonickel to update the code to fix the difficulty and add check pointing as a favour. The fact it is being updated is great, the fact that the main dev has no idea how to do this... not so great. Think of future support, what if the Hobonickel guy decides he cannot be bothered fixing bugs etc.

Again I am just going off what was said in IRC but my confidence in this coin going anywhere long term is low with this in mind.

Most businesses and projects are managed by people who don't have the technical ability to run them in their entirety. That's why we employ people who are specialists in a particular field - like technical staff, marketing staff, salespeople, and so on. That the RPC management team are employing specialists shouldn't be an issue - and there are plenty more specialists to replace those who move on to other projects. This is how the world works. Why should cryptocurrencies be any different?

Well said, procrypto. Management is about delegation. RonPaulCoin is a team of good people all with strong interest in ensuring RonPaulCoin survives. I have intentionally organized it this way, because it's much more effective than 1 person trying to run the entire show.

We actually have about 4-5 devs working on it right now.

This is an open source project. Technically anyone is free to join in. I don't need to personally program every aspect of the code myself. There are a lot of bright minds out there. I am overseeing the updates and ensuring they go as planned. I'm just one man, and RonPaulCoin is supported by a team to keep this mighty ship sailing.

You should be giving your thanks to onaboat, Tranz, elbandi, Dajackal, instacash, all the RPC social media site managers (facebook, twitter, irc, forums, reddit), and myself as well.

We aren't getting paid for our hard work and time. There is no pool of pre-mined funds to pay out people with. It would be great to offer people money in exchange for their contributions, but part of the fundamental principles of this coin was no pre-mining.

Message to "shazeal": You might want to ask yourself what are you contributing to RonPaulCoin, before you complain.

We are doing more things behind the scenes than you might realize. I will post updates soon enough.

lmao, why because it has ron paul's picture on the first page? You guys crack me up. I wish all the best for this coin, but i'm not getting into it unless Ronpaul actually endorses it, after that we will have to setup a donation wallet for him as he should have some coins too.

Already underway.
