So far the streams of Esports World Cup are having lots of problems. We have delays , we have servers problems , we have brightness problems and the streams are shaking every 20 seconds...so hopefully they will fix all of these issues by the end of day 1 because it hurts your eyes just to watch the streams... . Besides this , we can clearly see top tier Dota 2 from all teams and it's really hard to chose a meta draft and I'm curious how the drafts will evolve from game to game  Grin

GL to you @passwordnow on your bet for G2.iG!
Thanks rdbase, first game both won by G2.IG and Blacklist. I'm currently watching the Blacklist and Beastcoast's 2nd game and it looks like Blacklist is not at good position at their early game. These games are only a best of 2 series so, if the 2nd game will be lost then it's a draw and my bet losses. But I hope that these two bets of mine will continue to win their 2nd game's. G2.IG and Entity's 2nd game, early game's good for G2.IG.

It seems that my bet with Blacklist looks gonna have a bad ending but as long as the game hasn't ended yet, the game's on.

Gabbi is not good at Pos3.
Honestly, he's good. He's recruited by Entity last year because he seen to be a good pos 3. But, to each their own and that's your opinion.

Hopefully what happened to Blacklist International in the TI qualifier won't happen here in Riyadh, where they might be eliminated in the Play-In stage or end up in the lower bracket. Hopefully, this time they make it to the upper bracket since there's a big prize if they can secure the upper bracket. But I have doubt that Blacklist International will make it to the upper bracket. Gabbi is not good at Pos3. This is the problem what I see of blacklist. Well still good luck to them.

Looks like there will be matches during these play-ins tomorrow for the Riyadh Masters.

Virtus.Pro will face off against Entity as well tomorrow:
https://egamersworld.com/dota2/history/virtuspro-vs-entity-S-rkrq9fh

And G2.IG will go against LGD.Gaming over the weekend:
https://egamersworld.com/dota2/history/lgd-gaming-vs-g2ig-1JvS-fPYQ

Will be good to see how G2.iG will favor against the favorites of Entity tomorrow.

I agree, that it's best to bet on the playoffs but I can't resist the odds that they have got right now. That Team falcons and Team Spirit odds seems to be a good bet though. I've got already some bets and here are the odds for the first few matches tomorrow.

Yeah top two teams with their best chance to win the whole tournament and we are getting juicy outright odds. Imma put small amount on these two though, hitting either one of them would be profit
But I don't wanna be sure about that, although the odds are favored on them by the bookies but we can't still be sure about that. Some teams may have already planned something if they are up against these two and they've got some strategies to do.

So any takers on 12 games tomorrow? Its BO2 though so I probably going to go with draws on most of the equal games
I've got two bets for tomorrow matches. No draws on my bet so good luck to me.  Cheesy

Anyway, I just noticed that Esport World Cup slapped another $20M to divided to teams that collect most club points though. So thats kinda explain why I've seen alot of short term collaboration across most clubs on other games

Yes I would have to agree with you there. Riyadh Masters is the next huge event for Dota2 and their time it begins on July 3rd their local time from what I remember seeing in a post on X.
Here is a post saying the festivities begin a day before the play begins:
source: https://hawk.live/posts/riyadh-masters-2024
Soon, if this is going to be a huge success then more organizers and sponsors will support this event. And who knows, coming from a yearly event to maybe half year or quarterly?

So, here are the teams from both group A and B and their upcoming play in seed matches starting July 4 to July 6.
Only two days left, but i'll probably be watching most of these matches until the playoffs since i'm always cursed with these bo2 formats.

While we're at it here are the top five teams to win the whole thing based on the outright odds. I'm surprised there's a big gap between Team Spirit and Team Falcons.

Watched a bit of the opening ceremony yesterday and it was a spectacle to behold of the venue with a moving roof.

Their government has a spending limit so this could be the reason for the lower prize pool.
I'd assume one of the reasons for them to lower the prize pool is because they added a point system through different pro scenes and it had a $60m prize pool. If this system didn't exist we'd maybe see Dota get a bigger prize pool, but the reduction in prize pool is for the better if it means they'll include the other titles as well.

https://liquipedia.net/esports/Esports_World_Cup/2024

There's another 1win tournament currently ongoing and we get to see some top-tier dotes between Gladiators and Team Spirit later in the grand final, while Entity and 1win fight for the third place. I would've taken the over maps for the finals, but unfortunately, I can't find the pre-live odds for this tournament.

But we are beginning to see Riyadh sponsoring everything nowadays. From golf tournaments to UFC noche later in the year. Their government has a spending limit so this could be the reason for the lower prize pool.
Saudi Arabia is really putting their money to almost every sporting events including esports as they want to be the main hub of these events in the world.

5 days to go before the Esports World Cup happens. But others that are into Dota 2 might not be familiar with the organizer's name - EWC. For dota 2, this is going to be the Riyadh Masters and we're very close to it. While the others are discussing about the prize pool that has been shared to other esports are comparatively low than Dota 2. We don't know how they're able to divide it and gets the share for each percentage. But we're happy that the Riyadh Masters 2024 will be getting a $5M prize pool share from the Esports World Cup.

This is just going to be the start of it and who knows if the prince of Saudi will be adding more sponsorship money for dota 2 since he's the one who plays the game. I have no idea about the other games and esports he play but in the dota 2 community, he's known to be the supporter that purchases a lot when the TI is coming to contribute for the prize pool. This time, it is on their country and these organizers and events are going to give that impression to the other esports and organizers that they're not fooling around and they're putting their money where their mouth is and following the plan to become the main esports hub globally.

Unfortunately we still won't have a live crowd and will make the event a bit meh but the prize pool is insane and I'm sure all teams will actually play high tier Dota 2 and that's why I don't expect 322's and trows from any of them.
In tournaments like this, it's crazy to see some throw games that will lead a team or a player to do 322. Unless there will be another Taiga in the making.  Cheesy

For predictions , I think Entity might emerge victorious here or maybe Liquid will finally surprise all of us ? because they had plenty of time to actually prepare this new patch.  Cool
We'll see about that, Entity is strong and to be honest all of them that are able to qualify and invited here. Team Liquid, I'm kind of a bit nervous about them, they're always consistent in getting into tournaments but when there's their kryptonite Gaimin Gladiators, the game is always expected to them against them. Lucky are those teams that are into group stage seeds, they don't have to go through the play-in seeds for which we'll see 3 days from now.

So, here are the teams from both group A and B and their upcoming play in seed matches starting July 4 to July 6.

Sure the prize pool is less than last year but still a great event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the Riyadh Masters!

They are massively getting involved in esports indeed and not only. I also think if they didn't have a spending limit we would have seen shocking prizes in almost every sports they could sponsor but even with this , they most likely will have a bigger prize pool than The International of Dota 2 for 2nd year in a row which actually makes this tournament bigger than TI and that's why we should see the best Dota 2 games in a couple of days.

I think Valorant is the next level in the FPS genre but it still hasn't been too well received yet.
There are some networks trying to get it out to more venues but I believe CS2 is just too popular to dethrone it just yet.
It's the opposite for me, I enjoy watching Valorant, but i'd always put CS2 above because the competitive level keeps on changing without much updates going on.

For predictions , I think Entity might emerge victorious here or maybe Liquid will finally surprise all of us ? because they had plenty of time to actually prepare this new patch.  Cool
Entity should at least survive the play-ins, it'll depend on how they'll do in the next stage because they'll be tested against the best teams.

Same with Team Liquid, I think they're likely going to struggle, but there's always a possibility since they're more of a momentum kind of team based on their best results from ESL KL and BetBoom Dacha.

Until Esports World Cup starts , we can delight with some qualifiers from Elite League 2 right ? Currently we have EEU qualifiers and believe it or not , Yellow Submarine with the most young promising carry ( Satanic ) will most likely qualify and we can finally see this kid on pro scene.

Also worth to mention that Crownfall season 3 might drop soon and this should involve another big patch in Dota 2 world <3.

I've been betting on esports for a while now, mostly focusing on CS
and Valorant. It's a thrilling way to engage with the games and adds an extra layer of excitement. Dota 2 and LoL are also fun to bet on, especially during major tournaments where the stakes are high.
This is how started into Esports as well.
First with CounterStrike as it got me more interested in the FPS genre.
Then from there moved on to the top down view of WarCraft style games such as DOTA2 and League of Legends.
I think Valorant is the next level in the FPS genre but it still hasn't been too well received yet.
There are some networks trying to get it out to more venues but I believe CS2 is just too popular to dethrone it just yet.
