G2 can't catch a break these past few days after the CS2 and Valorant team lost their big matches yesterday, and now it's their LoL team as they also lost to Fnatic.

So basically a team sent tons of representative among all competition that is played on the Esports World Cup. If they get atleast top 8 on those competition then they will get club points. Obviously if you get to top 3, the amount will be way significantly higher comparing to top 8 and currently Team Falcons is on the 1st spot with 2950 club points thats 1800 points difference with the 2nd spot
It's going to be a battle for second place for the remaining teams as Team Falcons' lead will only get wider at this point, they have so many squads participating in every other EWC.

Anyway, who's able to hit the match winner in the grand finals with a W?  Grin
Congrats to us, odd might not be that much but I like that green color.  Tongue
It is nice to end the tournament on a solid sweat-free win, even though the lower-bracket experience was brutal with the upsets.
Saw that over the weekend as they were just shi**ing on G2 when the CS2 Finals were already over then came to realize they weren't talking about the finals but on a match of theirs that was currently in progress.

Found out the Valorant team of G2 was losing aswell. Roll Eyes
Talk about a treble but of the worst kind. Cheesy

Also thanks goes to @passwordnow & @arallmuus for the updates on those progress charts of DOTA2 and the prizes that were given out as the finalized tally for each placed teams.

We have another tournament in CS2 which I hadn't heard of is underway: Sky eSports Championship 2024

The latest match which is currently underway for this tournament:
MONGOLZ vs BLEED - Skyesports Championship 2024

There is another news about Shopify Rebellion (Dota 2) roster, they've got pakasz(probably stand-in for the Elite League S2) and saberlight back to the roster. On the other hand, they've parted ways with mind_control and then a sad thing, our boi Artour - Arteezy decided to take a break from the competitive scene. Here's his statement from his X account.

First of all , congrats to NaVi for becoming EWC in 2024 after a great series of Cs2 against G2.

Second , G2 managed to lose 3 finals this weekend : One in cs2 , one in LOL and one in valorant. ( sad times to be a g2 fan ).

Now , it's summer break in Esports and will be 1 month until big tournaments are back with first one being Elite on Dota 2 , followed by The International 1 month after. Wink

Thats actually peanut compared to the club championship prizepool that those team are waging for. Currently Falcons stand on top with 1950 club points ahead from the 2nd rank. If Falcons could get the 2nd place atleast, then they are going to extend this lead for $7M on top
$7M? I don't get it. Anyway, those club championship prize pools are really low, compared to Riyadh Masters, they're now sought after by teams and CMIIW, EWC will handle esports Olympics soon.

$20M prizepool exactly with $7M on top

Just click on the hyperlink for the club points, it will redirect you to the club championship page

I got it, thanks! There's more to this Riyadh Masters then, this is interesting and this is making EWC better than any other tournaments out there, it's like a mini Olympics for the esports scene. No offense to TI as it's like the most desired tournament of most teams in Dota 2. But this time, it seems that it's not just that Riyadh Masters are the tournament that these teams are already participating but also that club points that they'd acquire every finish they do but it's for all of the teams that they have for other esports. So, noticing the top 1 to 4, they've got all dota 2 teams although Na'Vi didn't qualify for the Riyadh Masters. There are 16 other esports left for the scoring and tallying of their points.

Man, that's really tough. I've got Ls there and mostly on the best of 2 series.  Tongue

Anyone have got updates on the Elite League Season 2? it's starting on July 25.

I actually noticed that there is a small fine print for the club championship

As it currently stands, there are only 3 teams that is eligible to win the championship and another 3 that is eligible for the prizepool so thats a total of 6 teams out of 16 paid places for the club championship prizepool. That is so weird, what are they going to do with the other 10 spots if no other club managed to get atleast two top 8 finishes

Beaten by two broodmother, chen and invoker games at map 1 & 2. If these heroes have been impactful to their very first games, they should have ban it to the next one and map 2 but on this, Team Liquid didn't because they probably can counter that through Tide at map 1 and sandking at map 2.
I thought Team Liquid could keep it competitive in the first map when I heard Tundra's coach share insights behind their draft to stop the early power spike of Gaimin Gladiators, but for some reason, they always end up playing behind.
It's theoretical and sounds pleasing to hear blitz thoughts but, I don't know what's the magic there. But if we'll base it really in the past, Team Liquid has always lost to Gaimin Gladiators in the grand finals all of the matches they've played.

Was a long CounterStrike Grand Finals in the Esports World Cup which ended with a Na'Vi win in the end!
NaVi completed the reverse sweep after a close OT loss in the first map, while G2 didn't have enough steam and only got six on the next two maps.

Looks like GG will sweep Team Liquid. I don't know why they aren't banning Broodmother and picking a counter for her. I think it's safe to say that this series will end in under 4.5 maps. I don't think Team Liquid can reverse this series. X10 is not worth to risk for Team Liquid.GG deserves to win this series, and I think Quinn be the MVP of the Dota 2 Riyadh Masters 2024.

This is where Team Liquid has gone wrong, I don't know what's on the mind of Blitz, their coach during the drafting phase but I think that they're arguing on what to pick and if they're going to respect ban those heroes on the map 2 and as we can see, they've banned these three heroes on the third and their very last game, it was too late. That's why if it's about drafting, it's important to acknowledge and do respect ban heroes of the opponent's good played heroes.

Forget about the heroes. Team Liquid is totally out smarted by GG in every possible way. They are always being baited and hesitant to commit because they are exaggerating everything. Team Liquid is very nervous playing against GG that’s why they can’t get a win.

They a good early phase since they punish alche early but Nisha can’t do anything against Quinn match up on this game. Boxi effort is wasted with their cores nervously playing.

Not bad actually for the remaining three teams. $600,000 for the third place runner up and that's still a lot of money. GG is guaranteed with $800,000 already but it will more and $1.5M if they will.

Alright, the site is back and it's on time. Here are my bets, series winner to Team Falcons and for map 1, over 34 minutes duration. Just a play safe bet.
-snip

So people do actually bet on game minutes huh. Thats probably the only bet that I would never think off. I mean sometimes it could be way earlier than 34 minutes because if Falcons are in their zone, most of the time they finish off the game before it even hits 30 minutes so thats kinda like coin flip even with that low odds
On both of their situation, I doubt it that they'll call gg too quickly even if they are about to lose and the game is one sided. They'll fight for it for as long as they can.

Taking over 2.5 maps on this game, its the most logical bet that could happen imo

Good luck. Game is starting now.

So this should make for a great Finals at the Riyadh masters tomorrow.
The winning team will get $1.5 million and 1,000 Esports World Cup team points, while the runner-up will get $800,000 and 600 Esports World Cup team points for the tournament.

Less than 2 hours left before Team Liquid and Team Falcons starts, I haven't casted a bet yet and waiting for stake to return as they're currently undergoing through maintenance. I hope that I'll make it but if not, I hope that I will for the grand finals.

Unfortunately @ralle14 it was a 2-0 win for the Gladiators.
They'll play the grand final against the winner of Sunday's early match between Liquid and Team Falcons, who emerged victorious in two contests on Saturday.

The series was anticlimactic as Gaimin Gladiators are just one step ahead of Team Liquid and cruised from start to finish on both maps. I'm looking forward to a Team Falcons vs. Gaimin Gladiators grand finals so we'd have a competitive series to watch.

We'll also have a CS2 grand finals between G2 and NaVi, i'd like to see G2 get their first huge win with this roster, but NaVi will probably deny them since they already took out two good teams.

The Mena derby is currently delivering top tier Dota 2 and it the best series of the tournament so far. We had Falcons who simply demolished Quest in 1st map but on the 2nd map , Quest showed that that they are indeed a tier 1 team and beat Falcons to even the series 1-1. Now , the fact that Quest managed to comeback from being down 1-0 in every series , makes me think that they will win 3rd map as well and eliminate Falcons for good.
I missed the first two maps, but that third map did not disappoint as it was winnable for both sides with one good team fight.

I don't know who'll win in the upper bracket final so my money is on the over 2.5 maps, both sides are too good right now and we could easily have another competitive three map banger as long as they don't troll on the drafts.

Majestic performance from VP against Vitality at EWC CS2. They were down 1-0 after first map and yet managed to win on Inferno ( Vitality pick ) and push the series into 3rd map where Dust 2 is well known for being the best map of VP in this current meta of maps.

Also , worth to mention that team Spirit on Dota 2 is about to lose after leading first map 1-0 but losing 2nd map and they are about to lose the 3rd map as well.  Shocked
The dogs came to play yesterday, so many upsets including Navi's win over Faze. The last series is the only one that ended with the favorite winning as Tundra made it possible from nearly losing 2-0 to suddenly reverse sweeping BetBoom.

The MENA derby between Team Falcons and Quest hopefully delivers, and it's wild to see Team Falcons' odds sit around 1.17 for the match winner and 1.65 for the map handicap. It makes me want to grab Quest's +1.5 for 2.10, it's absurd to see it this high after the teams they've beaten.
