Yeah because it is the holidays so I would imagine all of esports major tournaments have winded down for the players to spend time away from the games and with their families instead.
The smaller ones still have games being played but I would assume they will be ending those soon too.

They had the Esports Awards yesterday and only became aware of it happening with the opening ceremonies being posted on X:

This was nice to see:

Faze Clan of course are the favorites in this Grand Finals in Copenhagen but Vitality will make it a match!
I expect over 3.5 maps if the Cs2 format hasn't changed from the CS:GO finals best of 5.
Now we can see how MR12 will affect both these teams in a finals matchup at this level of play.

Very interesting match to witness.

What a year for Complexity right ? I think Elige is transfer of the year without any doubts and he is about to get Complexity to another Major final and hopefully he will win this one.
C9 is also looking great and it was about time for ex gambit players to start deliver at high standards for C9 fans.

Today we see Team Vitality vs Cloud 9 and Faze Clan vs Complexity on the road to the Blast Premier Finals today!

Yes! I think the fans got the finals they wanted right ? To end the year with best teams of 2023 facing in the finals it's amazing and I personally think it will be the best game of Cs2 so far.

Now , I want to say that Complexity is still the most improve team of the year for me and Elige should be proud of what this team managed to accomplish in such a short period and I'm certain that 2024 should bring a trophy to them.

Surprisingly your bets both went to 2-0 in your favor @dbshck !
So congrats on those wins to you!
That Complexity comeback was one for the book, wouldn't have predicted it either Cheesy Nice win indeed.

Amazingly Faze Clan's streak remains with their last game which just ended with an stellar double OT against Cloud 9.
Twistzz said he had to take a new role as AWPer to win the match. Hence going with two while C9 went with none that last round which helped them win that to make it to the semis.
Yeah, can't believe FaZe did it again. They really almost lost it on Anubis, 9-11 with only pistols but were somehow able to steal the round.

I wasn't sure MR12 would work at first but I do enjoy it now. Seems overtime and comeback are more often with the new format which makes it more interesting to watch.
That is true. There does seem to be more of a chance of these M12 matches to end up going into overtime.
Complexity are the team that are making the loudest noise in this tournament and many are saying it is all because of Elige making a big comeback late in his career.

C9 came really really close to beatong faze 2+1 and breaking their series streak of 15 wins!!!
With how random T1 cs can be its actually insane that faze is on a 15 series win streak
Also looks like complexity will be forcing a map 3 as they are currently leading in OT on map 2
I kinda fancy a wager on them map 3 if odds are generous
They are in the semifinals so yes, they are the team to beat.

Finally a T1 counter strike LAN is back as blast premier fall final starts today

The first match is Faze vs NIP and faze are reaaally big favorites at 1.2 odds. This is also the debut of new NiP igl alex so a bet on nip handicap might not be a bad idea..
It was way to early for me to watch this match but seen the result at the end with Faze winning it cleanly.
"FaZe have now won their last 10 LAN best-of-threes after beating Ninjas in Pyjamas in their Fall Final opener. Their seven-map pool came in handy once again, diverting the veto to Vertigo (13-6) and Nuke (13-9), and showing the championship form we are now used to seeing from FaZe in Counter-Strike 2."

Wonder how long can FaZe keep their winning streak. With all the roster changes in effect, this tournament could be another easy trophy for FaZe. Also, there's no ENCE, G2, and Mouz. Their closest competition is Vitality, but then again this is Vitality's first tournament with a new roster (-Magisk +mezii).

That said, I'm still going for Vitality for their match against Heroic because Heroic roster is an even bigger mess at the moment Cheesy

The rumors about EG moving away from the competitive scene are now official lol I didn't expect them to drop all their teams this year.

A few hours ago, Shopify Rebellion revealed their new Dota roster. The players they picked felt like a downgrade but still promising enough to make it work.
I guess my sources were on par with what was told to the media after my last post about Evil Geniuses situation in the world of esports.

The match which is currently being played started early. From what I recall it being scheduled to start 15 minutes ago according from the oddsmakers for those markets. Maybe since Faze's ended early.
C9 were looking to run away with it but I think Navi came back to get it closer on map 1.

A bit of nostalgia released by Valve a few days ago with the following documentary about one of the most influential video games in the history of the genre:

Half-Life: 25th Anniversary Documentary

Chapter four is the most interesting and ground breaking part of the entire documentary. So if you want to skip to this part, it is at 30:20 minutes of the video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbZ3HzvFEto

Think they even showed a bit of CounterStrike right at the end where there were clips of the end game.

Finally Blacklist Rivalry qualified to Dota2 Major - ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.  Redemption 2 Team is doing well from the beginning! I thought they will also lost again to geekfam in qualifying match since geekfam managed to win against Blacklist Rivalry in finals upper bracket  and won game 1 in Qualifying match. Blacklist Rivalry manage to win 2,3,4 game to qualify Major - ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. Abed really happy with team Blacklist Rivalry compared to BR before, you can see his reaction after qualifying match.

OG - Secret quite the show so far right ? 1-1 on score and decider map looks in favor of Secret so far.

I also believe that Secret will qualify to this Major because this team have always found a way to actually win something every year and this is their last chance to actually do it. Odds are in favor of OG but I know for a fact that team fight do belong to Secret.
I also have the same thoughts based on the lineups for the third map, but still, anything can happen since OG got the meta picks.

If they win here against OG, i'd say they have the better chance at qualifying over Entity because the momentum is in their favor and it won't be easy to go against a team that kind of found their groove in the lower bracket.

I’m not updated anymore on this 2 team due to the significant changes of their roster made while they are not already consider as power house on WEU unlike before. It’s surprising that Team Secret still performs well with pos 2 substitute. I’m not surprised that they hire Midone to fill the spot since he play with Puppey before.

Secret already dominates the map due to their pick offs but the late game scalability of OG is massive due to the TB and Kunkka plus the wall of DS is really my favorite on late game clash since the illusion deals a lot of damage especially on supports.

Heard something similar about Evil Geniuses but isn't this for the entire organization?
They are basically dissolving all their teams across all of Esports?
It is very alarming news if it was true. But I didn't believe it at first thinking it was just rumors but since you had mentioned it there must be an ounce of truth to it.
They probably won't disband every roster they manage when the others are doing well like their Valorant roster that won the last big tournament a few months ago. I'm guessing they're only downsizing as they can't keep up with the expenses in the other scenes like Dota now that it has become a free-for-all without the DPC system.

Bleed with the roster announcement earlier today, with Taiga and Masaros being their new addition to the roster.
Didn't their CEO step down just a few months ago too? Their interests seem to be over stretched and it seems to be affecting the company as a whole. So they should focus where they have had successes such as  in Valorant and dota2.

This is what I was probably going by since I am more atone to anything related to CounterStrike when it comes to the Esports scene then I would be with the others such as League, dota2 and Valorant.

Evil Geniuses reportedly dropping CS2 teams and selling LCS slot
"Now, a new report from Richard Lewis details how the organization is set to drop its Counter-Strike 2 rosters and how it is well on its way to selling its franchise slot in the North American League of Legends league, the LCS."
