Just to give some update with the matches that happened today;

Happening right now;

Team Liquid versus G2 x IG

Matches later;

In the lower bracket:
Winner of G2 x IG / Team Liquid versus Team Spirit
For this match, G2 x IG won but eventually, G2 x IG lost against Team Spirit.

At the upper bracket:
Xtreme Gaming versus Team Falcons
Xtreme Gaming is now waiting at the grand finals after winning against Team Falcons for 2-0. Now, we're at the semi finals at the lower bracket and it's going to be this match up below;

  • Team Spirit versus Team Falcons

Both strong team but I think this is going to be Team Falcons that shall go to the grand finals against Xtreme Gaming but I hope that I am right, it's been so long since we've seen Team Spirit goes back to the grand finals after winning TI.

Anyway, its going to be interesting on their next game against Falcons if Falcons make it through the next upper bracket as well.

I guess we got our winner already huh for the entire tournament and probably for the next DreamLeague. I was actually expecting Falcons to win lol

Im not sure how accurate will this be on DreamLeague but this is definitely something to consider. Obviously chinese teams never play around so when they are doing good in a tournament, you can expect them to be as good as this on the next one as well so Im probably betting them to win 2-0 on most of their next DreamLeague games

BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 wrapping it up this weekend with the playoffs kicking off soon with:
Team Spirit being the heavy favorites up against Falcons and our champions of last week in MOUZ going against Heroic.
I do think MOUZ will beat Heroic and face off against Team Spirit in the finals for this tournament Sunday.

    • Boom Esports versus Gaimin Gladiators
    GG lost against Boom Esports yesterday. And today, Boom Esports just lost against Team Spirit. Yes, TS is on the lower bracket after getting beaten by Xtreme Gaming yesterday. Today, we've got 4 series in total and the first one was already done which is with Boom and TS. And tomorrow is going to be the last day of this tournament and then we proceed to the DreamLeague. This means that the semi finals and grand finals will be tomorrow.

    We might have to wait until the upper bracket final before that happens since XG is looking like the strongest team so far in this tournament.

    Gotta agree on this. They are the only team that have never lose a single map yet in this tournament. I guess some teams are performing much better in an offline tournament huh. This kinda reminds me of the previous PSG.LGD when they had ame as their pos 1, they were literally top 3 best teams in almost all tournaments back then so its kinda nostalgic for me when I watch how good XG are in this tournament

    Anyway, its going to be interesting on their next game against Falcons if Falcons make it through the next upper bracket as well.

      The upcoming match is this one;

      • Boom Esports versus Gaimin Gladiators
      I guess that everyone is counting on for Gaimin Gladiators to win this series and go through the lower bracket until they reach the grand finals. But don't be too easy on Boom Esports, they've shown great on the group stages and they've improved to be honest. Seems like a dark horse but I just want to watch a good dota with this match though.

      Boom is about to take 1st map from GG and if this happens , I think Boom will secure the series with a 2-0 victory because GG is playing very poorly from dire side and that will be the case for them in 2nd map.
      Yeah, I've watched the series and it is impressive on how the match was quite close but then on the late game you'd see a huge par and difference on the actual game. I think this is one of the few times that I have seen a carry Templar Assassin able to make it in the late game, Pakasz is just really too good and there's no bias with that. That zeus and TA in the late game is terrible and sure a big counter to naix.

      The second map has started and we'll see if this is going to be the last game of GG or they will tie the series and going to make it to the third map.

      Also , what happened in 2nd map between Aurora and G2IG ? I heard there was a big crash of the serve and they had to remake the entire map with all the players being on the same positioned but I'm glad PGL solved this and they were able to resume the game without any difference for both teams.  Cool[/list]
      Well, I don't know with that because when I've watched that second map it was already on the go and mid to late game of the sequence of the game already.

        For the lower bracket;

        • G2xIG versus Aurora
        The first game series is done in the lower bracket and we already have the first team that shall go home and that's Aurora Esports. They have ended on this tournament as 7th-8th placer with a prize of $40k. Still not bad and they're also a participant to the upcoming DreamLeague. With this, they've got few more days to prepare to that tournament.

          Two Chinese teams facing each other now, Xtreme Gaming and G2.IG. I don't understand if there's something to do with the points and standing on the group stages for the placing of teams on the playoffs.
          Unfortunately, no points are given out for this tournament, but the prize pool is still big enough for teams to take it seriously. XG right now is on another level IMO, they've been rolling with off-meta heroes and it's working while the others are strictly picking the most contested heroes.
          Yeah, the prize pool is the same as the typical tier 1 tournament but no EPT points are to be given away. That's why those teams that are out too early that are also going to participate in the Dream League have enough time to prepare and study their potential tough teams to match with.

          What I am learning with XG's strategy is about patience and pull off every single opportunity that they can see even if the enemy is on the lead.

          XinQ never disappoints and I'm waiting to see how they'd play against Team Spirit, the two time TI champs.

          Now all is left is to see Falcons losing as I'm really tired to watch them winning without having a great performance during the game because all they do is to play together on the map and always have good vision + other teams they need to stop giving them favorite heroes and start to push them outside of the comfort zone because without beefy heroes , Falcons will lose for sure.

          That was an intense game from Xtreme Gaming and G2xIG. The 2nd map, I thought that it's going to be G2.IG as they're obviously on the lead but it's so hard to push to the barracks. And the MVP for the 2nd map is XinQ. That marci of his which was a position 4 support became the actual damager to everyone in IG. And just to give some updates, the match for the playoffs Day 1 is done and we've got the teams already moving to the next bracket and as well as those that have been sent to the lower bracket.

          For the upper bracket;

          • Xtreme Gaming versus Team Spirit
          • Team Falcons versus Team Liquid

          For the lower bracket;

          It feels so damn good to see GG being eliminated right ? ( at least in lower bracket for now ).  Liquid is on a winning streak against them after 2023 they were dominated by GG for entire year but I'm glad they managed to turn the tides in their favors + 33 who is indeed a Dota 2 nerd guy and we can see his influence more and more in this tournament.

          • Azure Ray
          • Heroic
          Who would've thought Azure Ray would be on that list, I guess it's the downside of being a replacement team since they don't have time to prepare for this tournament.
          I wasn't expecting them to be out this early. The chinese still has XG who's already secured and G2.IG but they're in danger of getting out as well just like Azure Ray depending on the results of the remaining matches. Well, this isn't a problem to them as they can prepare longer for the upcoming Dreamleague Season 23. Still, XG and them will be playing there but no G2.IG. One slot per region only but two slots were given to the Western Europe region.

          As I am talking about this which will happen next week, what I am excited about this is with team NaVi, it's been so long since we've seen them in action. No Dendi here but I am excited to see yuragi and sanctity play together against these teams. I just hope that sanctity is already with the team's bootcamp and won't be playing with over 100 ping in a legitimate and tier 1 tournament.
          You were correct with your outlook of XG and G2.IG according to sunsilk and his post with the results this morning!

          We have the playoffs later, and I guess all favorites should win this time after that underdog day yesterday.
          Two Chinese teams facing each other now, Xtreme Gaming and G2.IG. I don't understand if there's something to do with the points and standing on the group stages for the placing of teams on the playoffs.

          As they are currently playing for their first map, it looks like Xtreme Gaming is doing it with a carry bristleback of Ame. 24 minutes in the game and all 2nd towers of G2.IG were already destroyed.

          This is now on the mid game and if this happens to become a late game, G2.IG has got luna and magnus and that's going to play a big part every time they clash. One wrong move, and it's gg.

          But it seems that top barracks of G2.IG is already destroyed.

          Update: The game ended 27 minutes, XG won.

          Im not sure what the heck happened there but they lost after winning the 1st map, kinda weird.
          They might've lost that series to a bug as Arteezy mentioned that his BKB didn't trigger properly in game three.

          https://twitter.com/Arteezy/status/1790716429638959553

          Anyway Im assuming that some team played not as good as they usually are because they are saving strats for DreamLeague season 23 though. There are alot at stake on this DreamLeague especially the EPT points. Alot of the leftover teams would be willing to get their hands on the EPT points to be invited on the next Riyadh Master
          You have a point there since it's the last tournament of the EPT Season 2, and we also have the regional qualifiers for the Riyadh Masters after DreamLeague.

          I agree.

          On this Wallachia tournament, there is no EPT points to be distributed. But with the DL23, there's going to be a lot of it and aside from the $1M prize pool.

          So, that makes sense for the other teams to get out of it quickly and prepare themselves for that next week and all of the strategies can be saved or they're just literally weak on PGL's Wallachia.

          Well Im not trying to be discriminate or whatsoever but I probably wont bet on SA dota2 teams though. Their performances are inconsistent most of the times and yeah I'd bet my shot on another team or probably just skip the match. Anyway on the next game between SR and Boom which is literally NA vs SA, this pretty much screams NA dominance for me though so Im betting my shot on SR obviously
          I won't bet on that SR vs. BOOM series, but I agree with the SA teams being on and off with their performance. Good luck with your SR bet, I also think they should advance if they can get their key heroes like the Tusk, Hoodwink, and Leshrac.

          They were so bad LOL

          Im not sure what the heck happened there but they lost after winning the 1st map, kinda weird. Betboom lost as well, G2.IG is a pretty decent team as well but yeah its just questionable at this point and only Team Liquid ended up as my expectation by winning 2-0.

          Only Team Liquid proceeds from the last three that you've mentioned. Sadly, Shopify Rebellion and BetBoom Team were already eliminated and won't be able to participate anymore. What impressive is, Boom esports. They're surprising everyone about how good they are. Anyway, sometimes it is SA that's not too strong at all but this time, they're showing that they can compete with other tier 1 teams as well. So, the playoffs is already there and matches are made too. All teams start at the upper bracket quarter finals and whoever losses will still be able to survive through going in the lower bracket. 4 matches tomorrow as we've got 8 teams left and that tomorrow won't take that long to start less than 11 hours.
          Even with those stand-in chinese teams who had been eliminated too early on which i could say that it is really that too unusual considering Chinese dota is really that something that could be on tier 1
          specially on AR but well they are now that elimated same goes with Secret and SR and Betboom. As i have expected with TS and Liquid which we know that these are tier 1 teams.
          Speaking of Team Spirit, this is probably the first or second time around that they've stayed long on a tournament after TI. Am I recalling it right? Because usually, they're always out too early and they focuses on a better tournament that has a bigger prize pool but this time, they're not. Or is it that they're just better as usual because of the teams that are beating them in the past tournaments are also strong. And with the other teams, speaking of stand ins, Tundra Esports is going to take ramzes as their stand in for the upcoming Dream League season 23. It's been so long since we've watched ramzes into this type of tournament and I am happy to see him back and there's a likely that Tundra will kick Tobi after that tournament and will absorb him.

          BetBoom, Shopify, and Team Liquid should be the last three teams to advance unless they start to tilt and pull some questionable plays again like yesterday.
