@ralle14, first day on MENA has ended and as expected, Winter Bears moves to the next upper bracket and the same goes for Nigma Galaxy. It is funny that this team Adonis just gave a free win against Nigma Galaxy. They're surely a new team and inexperienced players and that's why it seems an easy games when they've fought against Nigma. Well, nothing to expect on this region as it's very likely that you've said that it's going to be Winter Bears and Nigma still are going to face each other at the finals.

While some possible new teams will be made on this region composed of experienced pro players, this is for sure that's going to happen. I remember when NA seemed to be a weak region together with SA and that's why many pro teams have formed and went there for easy qualifiers for the The Internationals. But soon, we might see maybe one or two or more teams forming their boot camps on the MENA region because if this is the type of teams that will be participating the qualifiers, they're seeing the opportunity that this is going to be easy for most of them. Since Team Falcons are out of these qualifiers and they're most likely going to get direct invites and have more points that shall skip them with these qualifiers, many of these coming in pro teams are going to fight for mostly one slot at most qualifiers on this region.

On the otherhand, WEU, Rest farmers took the slot.

I've watched some games in the SEA Elite League qualifiers. What I think is unfortunate was with the IHC Esports, the very first game that they've played against Salvation gaming is all of them got disconnected and I think that's due to power supply issue in their area.

Well, as easy as it is, the admin paused it for a long time and then SG even gave 5 minutes worth of their pause as sign of good will but then it's not enough until the admin said that they should go for the throne and end the game.

And as they proceed to the next game, SG won again the 2nd game. T

Moving on the Elite League: WEU closed qualifiers, they're going to have two slots and the first one goes to Entity and their mid laner is now No one as they've won against MOUZ at the upper bracket. As MOUZ now is waiting for the winner of Ninja Penguins and Rest farmers. Two teams that I am familiar with the current roster that they have. It seems that the WEU is quite messy with most pro players are scattered to a lot of new teams with new teammates.
I've added Rest Farmers to my ticket and i'm banking on their experienced players since they've been through different tournaments. They even got one map out of Entity while Mouz got swept when they met in the upper final.

I also included HLE to boost the odds up to 2.07. There's not much for them to play for, but their opponent has been underperforming recently and gave a win to the worst team in their league.

And they're on a match right now, Rest Farmers already won against Ninja Penguins and as they match against MOUZ, Rest Farmers is already 1-0. And one more win then they'll be the one that shall qualify for this Elite League. As for the other regions, they're going to start later on and we've got a lot of actions with Dota 2 for this Elite League qualification. From SEA, SA, MENA while the other regions are about to end today, there's already one in China, KEV is the team name and soon this WEU qualifier will also end and who knows if MOUZ will be able to reverse the situation against Rest farmers.

Can Elite League be the start of redemption arc for Nigma ? Maybe even win a trophy ? because honestly I think this is their last dance with Kuroky and if they won't achieve nothing in 2024 , I think it's time to quit and call it for disband. There are already 7 years since ex-liquid members created a new team under the name of Nigma , thinking that they will indeed become a great team but the only achievement they have is to have a big fan base all over the world ...besides that ...almost nothing.

Hopefully this year they will turn the events in their favor.
Possible, they're the stronger and more known team on that region since Falcons already got qualified or invited for this tournament. Only a few good team are there but I guess the experience that they can give to those rising teams is a lot to offer for them to keep on competing on that region. Hopefully to see Nigma back as a tier 1 team but will they able to get along with the other teams since mostly are truly buffed and stronger this time?

Dang, so its kinda like 50 50 huh. Imagine if they actually lose against WB.
Yep, it's a toss-up assuming WB still has the same players.

Who even are the winterbears? As for checking the roster of it, I don't even know their players and I am not familiar with any of them. But you are right with them, only 4 teams for the MENA qualifiers and if they lose on this one, I don't know what to say with Nigma galaxy.
They're a tier 2 team with mostly pub players and one of the players (Mikey) used to play position 2 for Nigma Galaxy. To give you an idea of how competitive it can get between these two here are their previous h2h results from the previous qualifiers.

Yeah, I'm familiar with mikey. Thanks for that brief history about Winter Bears so, it's just one slot and should be easy for Nigma but I still think that there might be some twist on the MENA region with the participating teams. Nigma now is just like a team with full of history but now lack of consistency.

If they lose this one, we'll probably see a complete change in the roster, or maybe we'll see MC return after his suspension in Tundra.  Tongue

Well actually I would love to see a complete roster change without involving any of the old Team Liquid's ex members though. I mean they were great players back in the day but currently there are far better players out there. Its about time Nigma sign a complete full 5 rosters get a new fresh start though, I'd totally love to dig those new teams without Kuroky in it lol

Its about damn time that Nigma qualify for a tournament. I really missed having them play in a top tier tournament although I know they are probably not gonna make it to playoff. If Nigma lose in this qualifiers then I guess its about time they disband the team completely and rebuild it from the scratch though

Anyway, prizepool of this tournament is huge but too bad its another online tournament
The good thing is that they have two chances against Winter Bears assuming they'll win smoothly against the other two teams and surely they'd be fired up when this is their best shot at getting in a decent tournament.

Maybe BB ran out of ideas in the grand finals and became desperate at the last game because I remember in the UB final of game 3 they tried to ban most of his best heroes like the Razor, Timbersaw, and Mars, which still didn't work.

Probably this has something to do with mentality on the game as well. I mean, by banning his heroes thats basically like saying " Yep you are good and we are scared of you playing this hero " so thats basically give him the mentality to even wreck that top lane though

Speaking of Elite League, I noticed that in the MENA qualifiers, Nigma Galaxy might qualify this time as their only competition would be Winter Bears.  Grin

IIRC, Ammar's best hero is Mars. If I am going to be against with him, I'd never give him this hero to be honest. I'd just give the respect ban to him because that's his crafted hero for a very long time and he'd been playing with that again and again.

I'd just always put that mars of ammar because it's always making an impact. I can't remember that there's a game that he's a lackluster with that hero. But even with that, as you've said, he's too flexible and has got a huge hero pool that he can always play with. As said by him, he'd just play that repetitively when he's given that hero and it's always open for picking, I think it's mars that's his favorite hero. That's what I'll just do if I am a coach of a team that will face him, I've got mad respect for him but mostly him playing mars.

there's now the Elite League (SEA) that's currently happening.

The toughest team in the MENA currently is Falcons and good thing they're already qualified and invited for this elite league. I guess most teams that don't have that much luck in their regions should migrate to MENA and have their bootcamps there. However, AFAIK, operating cost there sure a lot but these orgs have got money.

Falcons are indeed a great team but owning 2 finals in a row BetBoom with 3-0 is kinda rough for a team like BB to accept and I'm sure this team will bounce back stronger and maybe they will get revenge on ESL Birmingham in a couple of weeks.

Overall , what can I say about this finals besides Ammar making Eye of Skadi in 3rd map on hero Mars who absolutely had a massive impact on health regen on Morph and his ability to moprh intro strength got basically cut in half. That's why I consider Ammar a very IQ talented player who knows how to approach a game and get out of comfort zone when it comes to builds , play-style and many more.  Cool
That was nuts!
Before this finals I had never watched a match of Team Falcons or ever even heard of them before being mentioned on this thread.

Watched a bit of the last map and they were dominate from what I had seen from their gameplay.

Might make a bet on them for their next tournament they qualify for because I really thought BetBoom was sure to take this DL and go all the way winning it.

As you have said, Falcons is the kryptonite of BetBoom. No doubt that they're able to prolong the game 3 and I thought that they'd win against Falcons because they have morph but it seems that they're also exhausted coming from 2 straight wins against Xtreme gaming. This is always the case for most teams, whoever lands the grand finals and are waiting always takes the advantage for having enough sleep and rest and there's no pressure at all. Let's see them again on ESL Birmingham and for sure that BetBoom will prepare mostly for Falcons next month.

In fact with an interview, when he's asked about playing a hero repeatedly, he don't mind that as long as they're going to win the game. No doubt that he's talented and a very high IQ player and good thing that PSG.Quest dropped him and he left Nigma too.

Ahh , it seems Falcons are indeed the kryptonite of BetBoom because once again they had first map , almost had the 2nd one and lost the 3rd one and the series. Hopefully , tomorrow their drafter will be much more inspired than picking Troll ( a hero who needs urgent remake of that ultimate ) and it will chose a more direct approach towards team fights like Morph or even Void and maybe stop giving Miero it's Lycan if the team is not consent to push and end the game until minute 35ish.
They are now facing each other in the grand finals. Despite BetBoom was sent to the lower bracket after Team Falcons victory on their first match on the playoffs, BetBoom still managed to win against Xtreme Gaming and these two teams are now in the grand finals. But with the current score of this grand finals, it is 2-0 in favor of team Falcons and this is to note that it's only a best of 5 series and one more game as of typing this, they'll be the champions of this Dream League Season 22 just after they've also won the BetBoom Dacha tournament.

As of watching their 3rd match now, Team Falcons is on the lead but the game hasn't ended yet but they are leading the game and likely to get this grand finals for the 3rd game.

For Falcons ...what can you say ? no matter who you counter in the draft , Ammar , Skitter or Marline , there is always one of them who will have a perfect lane and also always pick great supports like Cr!t and it's SD who basically won game 3 for them.  Grin
They're like the typical Tundra that we've known. They are strong and good thing that Ammar and cr1t have found teammates where they can rely on and this is really all about the chemistry that they have. I think that they're having good communication for each of their games because each of their plays and calls are always on point.

Anyway, the last game for today would be GG vs XG. I cant recall the last time GG missed a playoff so they should be the safe bet for this last game though but the I just checked the odds and it sucks so bad. Its only 1.65 for GG to win and Im not buying it, not even gonna think of taking -1.5 because I might got screwed again lol
See this is why I should shut my mouth up because everything has been going the opposite of what I wrote / said. My losing streak in dota2 is just unbelievable. Well not really losing streak but I lost like 8 times out of 10 times betting and that sucks. Geez I guess GG is already out of the favourites huh, this is the first time since like the last 1.5 years that they dont make it to the playoff
That tends to happen to me aswell when I am betting on other sports, so it just might work for you with betting on Dota2.
Remember Garmin Gaming winning all their matches last year so it just might be the patch boltz has mentioned just below your post on why your picks have been off is all.
Adjust to what those changes affect the teams. So in other words, observe what those where after the update.
Works for me for the entire overall of CounterStrike.

And yuragi, a former position 1 of OG signed to NaVi together with Sanctity of Mongolia whom is also a good player that's giving headache in the SEA. So, both of them will play for NaVi and I think it's a good thing for Sanctity to explore playing outside his country.
That's a big boost for NaVi, but still, qualifying is tough when there's Spirit, BetBoom, and VP unless they all get a direct invite.
They've got an edge. I think this is the era when I am optimistic with new transfers and roster changes because you'll never know if the new set of roster will have a better result than the older ones who have ego and management issues. So, here goes the new complete set of Na'Vi

Yuragi
sanctity
nefrit
Zayac
Malady Captain

I am not familiar with nefrit but I guess he's got the biggest role here as told by most of the pro players. It's always the offlaner has the biggest role in early, mid and even in the late game because they are play makers and space maker for their carry.

Also, if you have missed it guys as we wait for the playoffs of DreamLeague, there's now the Elite League (SEA) that's currently happening.

Last night , I was very mad on PA gameplay but not on Dyracho because he had no control over the dagger which went into tormentor and reflected it's dmg back and killed him...because that was the missing buyback when they basically lost the game cause of backdoor protection and a massive duel on PA who at that point had no business being near Ancient when protection kicked in ...but like I said , I consider that move a Valve for that Pa mistake.
I also saw a clip of that incident yesterday, it was so unfortunate for Dyrachyo and GG because it could've gone either way if it weren't for that unexpected ult proc.

Just watched this video made a few days ago about how this MOBA came to be from Blizzard who actually didn't even license the game. This saga of how League of Legends & DOTA2 came to be is unreal,
Blizzard Is Worse Than You Thought
MOBA started from there, warcraft and Blizzard too bad that they didn't reinvent the game and instead allowed Valve to make their '2' version for Dota. Anyway, we've got a lot of transfers that just happened this day, MJZ from South America will play for Blacklist International as their position 5. And yuragi, a former position 1 of OG signed to NaVi together with Sanctity of Mongolia whom is also a good player that's giving headache in the SEA. So, both of them will play for NaVi and I think it's a good thing for Sanctity to explore playing outside his country.

And we already have a place and venue where the next The International will happen this September, and it's going to be in Copenhagen, Denmark.
