Well, Entity got really lucky as they have ended up with the $50k grand prize for this finals as they've beaten Virtus.Pro from game 2-4. The first match was won by VP but then it ends there.
VP got lucky in the first map with Entity picking Meepo against a Gyro carry lineup. After the second and third maps I knew my ticket was about to lose, they cooked up much better drafts and outplayed VP throughout the series.

Anyway, another org is stepping into the Dota scene (Leviatan) and they're currently competing in the SA qualifiers with Chris Luck as their temporary position 2 player. The SA qualifiers are only getting stacked at this point, and I wonder how cheap is the operation cost given so many orgs are willing to give it a shot.

BOL on the ticket, i'll be betting on VP to win the finals as I think Entity got lucky with the matchups and avoided Team Spirit throughout the tournament.

Few more days until we know how good the current Nigma is. Pretty much the same situation for them on the MENA qualifiers, PSG.Quest is the only team they need to watch out for
Yeah, we'll see them in less than 2 weeks as the start of the Elite League and most of the teams that are going to participate this tournament are prominent and strong teams. As for PSG.Quest, they've released and didn't took ammar on their team and that's why it seemed to be a downgrade for them when they took Tobi instead. But that's the management decision and these guys have been into various international tournaments and shown that they're also a strong team and contender for most of the toughest teams in the world. Three teams to look out for the MENA, Nigma, Falcons, PSG.Quest but there will be some more of it in the future for sure as this region is one of the richest and many royals are wanting to invest into esports and they'd surely give a decent salary for the pro teams or players that will want to play under their region as their representative in the global competition.

You have a point there. Nigma Galaxy can underperform when it matters the most, and I lowered my expectations on PSG.Quest too much when they just started playing with their new captain.

Im not sure if Im going to jinx ur bet by betting onto it as well, might resulted in another loss for me though LOL

Imperial esports were so close to bring a first major win for sportsbet but so far so good as this team is very talented and can grow a lot. Meanwhile , the other brazilian team had a rough day today with Furia losing against Lynn Vision...a team who had x7 odds to win before the game started.
Was watching some of the open stage qualifiers from Copenhagen earlier today and seen Apeks playing. They are good and will be facing Imperial Esports tomorrow bright and early:
https://www.hltv.org/matches/2370611/imperial-vs-apeks-pgl-cs2-major-copenhagen-2024-opening-stage

Heroic did beat Imperial by a close margin, so yeah the Sportsbet.io team are improving and just hope they can make it far in this Major once it gets started as these were the opening stage matches.

True true. Brazilian cs is shifting from Furia being the best team towards Imperial Esports being the best brazilian cs team right now and I love it.

Now , a bit of news from Dota 2 scene where Team Spirit just lost the series against VP and I must say this patch is really not suiting Spirit at all and I'm afraid they won't perform great this year.
Imperial Esports are doing quite well this tournament in the opening stage.
They beat ENCE convincingly then beat Apeks.
These are just BO1 maps so far but the RMR13 seems to suit their teams fast pace better.

So they are on a roll starting this tour in the PGL Majors.

Nah its still too early to conclude that. Nigma Galaxy kinda reminded me of Manchester United, when you thought that they had it then somehow they could lose the next game lol. Anyway aside from The International, the best tournament name for me would be Animajor lol. I kinda love that tournament though and Im hoping that they could bring it back somehow

That would be a miracle if WePlay suddenly announces a tournament, but with the scene on the decline we might not see it happen again, and from what i've heard they're more focused on organizing streamer events.

With the way PSG.Quest performed at the online tournament, we might see Nigma Galaxy potentially qualifying at another tournament. I honestly think the tournament name is fine, maybe they wanted it to be similar to a popular league in sports like the Premier League.

Anyway, Im glad Nigma ended up winning the Elite League qualifiers. Next stop fixture would be DreamLeague season 22 qualifiers and then The Elite League. I could swear that all these new tournaments name kinda give me the headache, whats up with calling the tournament The Elite League though lol

I saw that match earlier while watching the GamerLegion match, it's unbelievable to see Furia on the brink of elimination after the first day of the PGL Major.

Aside from the ongoing qualifiers, there's a minor online tournament scheduled later today, and I saw a few good teams participating like Team Liquid, Team Spirit, and PSG.Quest. I'll observe for now because we could expect to see the stronger teams go for experimental drafts.

Thats really a 'minor' tournament if we compared it to the teams that actually participated in it. Tier 1 team lik Team Liquid and Team Spirit are participating and yeah the prize on top is only $50k though. I can understand if Team Liquid participated because they uses Timado as Stand-in so probably they are trying new roster or trying new stuff up but Team Spirit is competing as well with their original roster so thats kinda weird.

Just seen they are currently playing in the DreamLeague Season 23 Southeast Asia open qualifiers.
Bleed Esports going up against Made in Philippines and MAG.Indonesia vs Team Bocil.

Non-stop action as the DL championship what seemed to be just last week.
Yeah, we've seen the season 22 of DreamLeague and now, we're about to see the season 23 and this open qualifiers are already on a roll. Sadly, about the Bleed Esports which is a known strong team just lost to Made in the Philippines with unknown players. As there will be two winners in the closed qualifers, there goes these matches that will happen by tomorrow and whoever wins on each of those matches will go be qualified then.

  • Execration vs Interactive PH
  • Made in the Philippines vs MAG.Indonesia

Well, that's a fine bet but Nigma won that match and I think that they're on the lower bracket now and likely to win the match. But at the finals of it against Nigma, that's where it's hard to put some bet or you'd just put it with Nigma. I just imagined looking at the upcoming tournaments, there are a lot of them and they're going to be continuous and this is I guess until we're close to the International, this is giving every team an opportunity to rise and participate to every tournament that's allowing them to join through qualifiers.
Thanks, I only went for it because I thought the odds were skewed for the side of Nigma Galaxy.

Interesting and the games are starting now. Most teams are known and it also includes the new team of Ramzes, I hope that they'll be ending great on this tournament. And definitely as the name of the tournament, it's sponsored by 1win and as well as its dota 2 team is also invited on this tournament so good luck to all of the participants.

Moving on to the SEA because it's about to end later, I pity the first map of Talon and Geek Fam. Geek Fam lost and it's a massacre that has happened to them. Geek Fam didn't even got 5 kills but only 3 whilst the Talon esports got 29 kills. The map 2 is on the go and it's also being lived now, I hope that I'd watch a game 3 and GF will win this 2nd map.

@ralle14, first day on MENA has ended and as expected, Winter Bears moves to the next upper bracket and the same goes for Nigma Galaxy.
Yeah, the rest of the teams are a level below these two. I'll give the map handicap (+1.5) on Winter Bears a shot since they mostly have the same players and only changed two members.

Next series that might be a surprise is Beastcoast vs Midas Club and personally I can't trust Beastcoast players anymore and that's why I think Midas will actually win this series and produce a surprise. Odds are also very appealing with x4. Shocked
Beastcoast won against Midas Club 2-0 and they're now going to be against with Boom Esports. I just realized that the roster of BC is no longer the ones with Chris luck and K1 before. But looking at some changes, I see that they're now going to play with Heroic which has already taken an invite.

I've watched some games in the SEA Elite League qualifiers. What I think is unfortunate was with the IHC Esports, the very first game that they've played against Salvation gaming is all of them got disconnected and I think that's due to power supply issue in their area.
That reminds me of their loss during the BetBoom qualifiers, they faced the same issue and had to forfeit the second game which led to a 0-2 loss. Also, the organizers are generous with the slot distribution as they gave two slots to the SEA region while the other competitive regions like EEU and SA only have one.
Yeah, I think this has been too long before they've been given two slots unlike with the DPC slots that they've been always given one slot only. As for the SEA on this Elite league, the first team to qualify is Blacklist International.

And for the MENA, Nigma.Galaxy is now waiting for the finals but I guess that they'll have to face Winter Bears again. This should be a good slot for them despite that it's only one. Moving on tomorrow, we'll get to see the other team to qualify for the other in the SEA.

@ralle14, first day on MENA has ended and as expected, Winter Bears moves to the next upper bracket and the same goes for Nigma Galaxy. It is funny that this team Adonis just gave a free win against Nigma Galaxy. They're surely a new team and inexperienced players and that's why it seems an easy games when they've fought against Nigma. Well, nothing to expect on this region as it's very likely that you've said that it's going to be Winter Bears and Nigma still are going to face each other at the finals.

While some possible new teams will be made on this region composed of experienced pro players, this is for sure that's going to happen. I remember when NA seemed to be a weak region together with SA and that's why many pro teams have formed and went there for easy qualifiers for the The Internationals. But soon, we might see maybe one or two or more teams forming their boot camps on the MENA region because if this is the type of teams that will be participating the qualifiers, they're seeing the opportunity that this is going to be easy for most of them. Since Team Falcons are out of these qualifiers and they're most likely going to get direct invites and have more points that shall skip them with these qualifiers, many of these coming in pro teams are going to fight for mostly one slot at most qualifiers on this region.

On the otherhand, WEU, Rest farmers took the slot.
