But as of now, there's this BetBoom universe tournament and already in the grandfinals, the teams that are fighting now and in their last match are Tundra and Team Spirit. Game 5 is about to end and Team Spirit is on the lead, those that might see this post can watch in on Twitch's live channel of BetBoom: https://www.twitch.tv/betboom_eng

I guess Tundra is still a pretty tough team afterall well aside from Team Liquid which was undefeated in WEU DPC. I thought its going to end with straight 3-0 for Tundra but yeah it was an interesting matchup that leads to 5th game and also its pretty surprising that Topson as well as Nightfall didnt stand in on the grandfinal considering how well they played
Well, Tundra didn't disappoint and they've won against Team Spirit and become the champion for BetBoom Universe EP: 1 tournament.

There are no major tournaments right now either in CS or DOTA. I am not really into minor tournaments because it is quite unpredictable and bad for betting.

It is a rest for E-sports right now unless you are into some minor leagues.  There is also Valorant Champions tour but I do not know if there are sports bookies picking up this tournament at an early stage.

Anyway, it is just a few days before we witness great DOTA games again. I will save some fund for that event.
This minor tournament has got tier 1 teams and that's why it has caught my attention. Well, we're about to see the start of the Lima major next week.
It's like a rest week for most esports tournaments but if you want to watch some actions, there's the DPC season for Dota 2 but yeah, they're for the division 2 teams.

Eternal fire finally got their ticket to the closed qualifiers in the paris major open qualifiers. Having a tough fight with Godsent, eternal fire managed to defeat the team even though it was difficult. The first map was inferno. After turning the match from 15-12 in overtime, eternal fire did not have much difficulty on the mirage map. The matches he played after that were for him to start from a better seed stage. Finishing in the top 2 was good for him to start from a better place.

One week from now, the Lima major for Dota 2 is about to start. An extreme Dota 2 action is about to happen again. I've seen that there were teams already in Lima and enjoying some time there before the tournament starts. Although I sometimes watch minor DOTA events but most of the time I am also not betting. One more week and we will see the first major of the year. Not good but at least only PSG.LGD suffered from the common visa issues surrounding DOTA events. Meanwhile, HellRaisers players are having issues recently with their chemistry and plays. Daxak seems very vocal about their inexperienced coach and too-relaxed team captain but in the end, HellRaisers decided to just kick out Daxak from the team. Hellraisers are currently looking for a new player for their position 1.

G2 are the champions of the Iem katowice tournament.
I have to say that they really put on a great performance throughout the tournament. The fact that they defeated a team like Heroic in the final shows how much they should have won.
When they're on an impressive win streak it's kind of expected to see them win it all and props to Heroic for somewhat gaining back their form as their performance dipped before the IEM and still kept the finals competitive as possible.

Time to watch some Div2 matches later as I found some good odds on AG to win 2-0 @1.84 they're up against Xerxia which is currently sitting at the bottom of the standings.  Xerxia only has one series win so far only beating the weakest team in the group while AG hasn't lost a single map out of the four series they've played.

Paris Major 2023 europe rmr open qualifier 1 matches 500 - EF' lost 2-0 in the match, our teams are having problems focusing due to the natural disaster in our country, this is a clear, new event and I can imagine their mind there, we all do. Eternal fire closed the first half 8-7 while losing 7-0 on Nuke. Even though it went close in the rest of the match, it was lost 16-14. Why was the Nuke map the first map selection, EF is not that expert on this map. It was the map chosen by the 500 in the Mirage map. A map that didn't exist in Mirage EF could not respond at all.

Special congratulations to hunter and jks for their great performances throughout the tournament. Jks has been surprising me lately. He's been stepping up his performance lately. When one player plays badly in the G2 team, the other one can step up and make up for his bad play. G2 also set a record for themselves. They won 20 maps in a row without losing. This is an incredible statistic in lan tournaments.

Anyway, next big event is ESL Pro League to be held in Malta. Not a lot of juicy games in between during the break so we might as well shift our focus to Dota (Lima Major) for next week.

It is still 10 days before Lima Major starts. So, we do not have major E-sports events to follow for a while unless you are into Div 2 DOTA matches. I do not follow Div 2 because it is hard to predict and bet on who will win.

It's heartbreaking to see Heroic lost Mirage. They got the lead 6-9 on the first half but lose their momentum early in their CT rounds. I think Mirage was a requirement for them to have a chance on the series. Winning Mirage means Ancient is guaranteed which they have better chance to win than Inferno. This is going 3-0 I'm sure, G2 just too strong on Inferno.
I don't understand how they lost this map. The best map they were Mirage was the map I thought they would lose at least in this series. Started well on the map mirage, but they lost because they couldn't defend against G2. The first half finished well, Heroic, as I said, they couldn't defend. In general, G2's aim superiority as a team was very clear on maps, and G2 had the advantage of aim in all fights in general. G2 is unstoppable.

There are just too many unforced errors from Heroic that allowed G2 to regain their momentum. Like calling a timeout when they are ahead 8-1, that allowed g2 to win the next round though luckily by running out of time to plant. There is also a round where Heroic allowed G2 to disarm the bomb in the smoke. They thought it was a fake but was not. On another round, Hunter caught them from the back not looking.

Anyway, G2 was too strong for Heroic right now. Heroic 2 consecutive IEM Major Finals but not getting the trophy. Their time is yet to come.

Congratulations to G2 for winning IEM Katowice 2023.

G2 proved to be the most dominant team in early 2023 after their championship run in IEM Katowice. Everyone is focusing on m0nesy and jks when hooxi and hunter were the most active players that took initiative on rounds that matter, especially in Ancient. Hooxi's early round picks and great usage of flashes to support his team to get kills is being slept on by a lot of people. Well, jks really is a beast winning 2 IEM Katowice's in a row, and he's shown that he's still got it and is a valuable asset to G2's success.

G2's current roster is so perfect that you can't find fault in any one of them. Plus, their bond and their camaraderie is so wholesome, especially m0nesy and jks.

Well looks like it will finish 3-0. Second map was too important for Heroic but they lost and this put the nail in the coffin. They won 21 maps in a row, it will probably go up to 22 after this map and they'll get the trophy. Heroic showed some resistance but they lost rounds in key moments. NiKo showed his experience. m0NESY and huNter play good. They showed they are way better than Heroic.

G2 knows every inch of Inferno. Their rotations on that map is pretty impressive thanks to Hooxi's mid round calls. And you have a team that hits most of their shots despite being in the big stage where the nerves really get into you. My bet is on G2 to win the tournament, but I want Heroic to at least win 1 map and extend the series before I eat all my snacks lol. I'm ready for this series to go the distance, but I guess Heroic is already disheartened and the next map is Inferno.

We all know how much of a beast hunter is in this map. He lurks pretty well and knows a lot of off angles and I think that will be a huge problem to Heroic.

I manage to capitalize on the strong CT side from Heroic and took G2 @1.75  to win map 1 during the second half. Initially, it looked worrying for the side of G2 when they're having a tough time winning full buy rounds on the T side but good thing they're able to hold in the second half. Heroic tried their best to break G2's economy by winning a few half buy rounds but they always crumble on full buy rounds.

Congrats with your pick. That was a good catch.

G2 is very strong in CT side. They underperformed on T side but they were able to complement that with a very strong CT side. Heroic was able to hold off G2, but I think their confidence was broken when Monesy pulled a clutch for what was supposed to be a Cadian moment. Then it was followed by an outstanding fragging by Hunter. After G2 pulled a 2 rounds lead, you can see Cadian was disappointed and the map was lost. Hopefully, they can win their map pick, Mirage.

Anyone watching IEM Katowice finals right now? I'M PUMPED FOR MY $20! Never have I seen top 2 teams using the old rush strat. They've been doing this strat for a lot of rounds now and it's proving to be effective. Also, G2 is just showing how strong their CT side is on Nuke. When Heroic is in the CT side, they never dared to be as aggressive as G2 is. Jabbi and TeSeS is stepping up, but it isn't enough to convert it to a map win despite the 10-5 half.

20-map win streak for G2 now. God damn these guys are on fire.

IEM Katowice 2023 Grand Finals between G2 and Heroic is about to begin. G2 is favored to win this match but I am placing my bet on the underdog again this time. I lost when I took the underdog NAVI against Heroic, but I have a feeling about my bet with Heroic. The current odd for Heroic is 2.85 and looks good.

Heroic ...they have been griding so hard for the last years and they have another chance after Brazil major when they reached the final but lost to VP. Today , this can be the case again as I don't see Heroic standing a chance in front of G2 and M0n3sy.
G2 really looked unplayable for most rounds in this tournament and I am also quite certain they are taking the title home with them. I don't think Heroic can take more than one map today and I have placed my high stake bet on G2 to win and low stake on G2 taking it 3:1. Hell, G2 made all opponents look bad and did not loose a single map in 9 matches and they played NaVi 3 times in those 9 matches  Grin

That being said Heroic was the next best this whole week and if anybody has a chance to come close to G2 it is them. Should some incredible counter strike for sure. Can't wait for it.
