Last day for the group stages today, and I've already placed my bets and this is it for the remaining teams whether they'll move to playoffs or they'll have to go to the airport the soonest and book their flights going back home. Good luck bettors and dota 2 fan boiz.  Grin

It was 3 months ago lol. I mean in high ranked games, they could meet multiple times over the span of 3 months and I guess Ammar beat him all the time then kept taunting him  but seriously its just dumb when someone is enraged over a trash talk on screen
It could also be a bad time for Ammar to call him out like that because we don't know when someone could be at their tipping point.

Anyway despite all that, Avulus is kinda impressive and now I understand why they managed to join PGL through WEU qualifiers. Yeah they lost to Falcons but its Falcons though and they are way better. I'd love to watch their rematch on playoff, it would be great
The same goes for the other teams, they're getting good results because most of the top teams aren't playing except for Team Falcons and Heroic.

It'll be spicy if they get placed in the same bracket and possibly set a rematch in one of the upper bracket rounds.  Grin

I missed all games for today to have some family time but then, when I came back there's some penalties given to Avulus because of Sonneiko approached ammar in a threatening way. So, these two have already a beef during the pubs long time ago when ammar called sonneiko "braindead" and then Team Falcons beat them twice.
I'm surprised he took things that far only because of an all chat from a previous pub game and they're lucky to only receive a draft penalty from that when it could've been more severe like a tournament ban.
Yeah, they're lucky that it's only a draft penalty and right now, both are qualified in the playoffs. He probably can't take the toxicity or the chat trashtalk that ammar did on the pub when he's played against him. I think if avulus is on the bottom 8, he'd probably do something that he's waiting for that moment. But then, they're moving to the next stage and he can't just do anything that will affect the entire team as this is one of their firsts major tournament as team Avulus. Maybe sonneiko took it personally and I also hope that this will serve as a lesson to those pro players that are too toxic in the chat whether they are with or against some other pros unless they're close.

We lost 13-11 and dropped to the lower bracket, we are still in the tournament, no problem. Smiley
They'll need to step it up tomorrow because the team they'll face in the elimination match would be G2 after Heroic sent them down from the opening round.

Eternal Fire lost their first match. It was a Bo1 match, starting T on the Inferno map is quite a disadvantage.
EF lost 9-3 in the first half, Astralis was very good in defense.
EF was good in defense but the score was too high, it would have been a solid comeback if there weren't a few mistakes.

Thanks man, and I hope that I'd win with the remaining two bets since Mouz already was done and lost against Avulus. This Avulus team always win whenever I don't bet on them but when I do, they lose. Haha! a real unlucky man I am.
The bookies are getting the hang of it as all of the favorites won yesterday, but at least you avoided getting swept thanks to NaVi.
Was lucky to win that game with NaVi. But with the other two, they're completely have no hope at all. There isn't much time left for IEM Rio tournament in CS2 to begin.  Smiley

Source: https://www.hltv.org/events/7439/iem-rio-2024

The first matches are going to be underway by tomorrow. I'm so excited for Eternal Fire.  Grin  You know how successful they were in the last ESL Pro League. Making it to the finale and being so close to the title... It was the biggest success for a Turkish team there.

Now it is time for a new IEM tournament. There are 2 groups as Group A and B. They are in Group B. There are really tough teams such as Vitality, G2 and so on. I hope we manage to make it out.

It's obvious that it won't be an easy group for Eternal Fire. But they've beaten many teams in this group before and they can handle it.
If we talk about the first match, I don't think there will be much of a problem in the Astralis match.
They're ranked 17th in the world rankings, but now they have a new IGL, Cadian, and as you know, they used to play with other players before when they were on the Heroic team.
Astralis lost to Vitality and Sprit in the Blast Premier Fall matches. So I think it's a winnable match for EF, even if it's not an easy match.

My LNG bet won easily as DK got outplayed and outdrafted on both maps. Even though the matches today are all bo1, i'll continue to stick with the bigger favorites and back BLG together with TES for 1.73, they'll face Fnatic and T1 who only got their first win because of an easier matchup.

I wonder what team will take Dyrachyo as their new pos 1.
I hope he ends up with Tundra in the future because 33 has a similar playstyle with Ace where they thrive once they gain a lot of networth and Dyrachyo is good at being that semi carry who can make space for other cores.
I agree, that's the best team that he can go. However, Tundra has already taken nightfall who is also a strong pos 1. I can't think of any other team, maybe OG? but 23savage is already there or he's just for a trial.

These are my bets for matches later.
I also agree with all of your predictions, Mouz and Azure Ray are too good to be at plus odds when looking back at their qualifier performances.

1-3 for yesterday. I thought that it's going to be 3-0 and every team that I bet on did great because they're promising and have won 1 map but, it's still fine I hope that I'll do better today.

These are my bets for matches later.

2. Dyrachyo moved to inactive roster of Gaimin Gladiators, likely kicked.
Later on, they also revealed Watson as their new carry player.
Yeah, so the rumors tend to be true that Watson is what they are eyeing for after TI. I wonder what team will take Dyrachyo as their new pos 1.

Playoffs spots are on the line for today's bo3 matches, and i'm picking LNG for the first match. They didn't look like the LPL third seed after beating BLG or maybe it's only because of the outdraft.

At the same time, I'm sorry about your loss. I also thought T1 would win but they lost. They have been losing pace for quite a long time though. For like 2 years, they haven't been able to win the LCK title anymore.
It's fine, I only went for it because of their odds and knowing they could turn up. I had high hopes when T1 played it well in the early game, but TES was better in the team fights by peeling for their Jhin.

The standings after today's games:
T1 is unlucky, they have to face BLG for their next match and potentially go down 1-2 tomorrow.

Excited for the first round of the Worlds group stage tomorrow. I'm hoping T1 prepared themselves against TES, I still believe they could beat most of the teams here even though they lost their form in the summer split and barely made it in the Regionals against KT Rolster.

I have been looking for people on the thread about if they are interested in LoL Worlds competition. It is nice to see someone interested.  Smiley  At the same time, I'm sorry about your loss. I also thought T1 would win but they lost. They have been losing pace for quite a long time though. For like 2 years, they haven't been able to win the LCK title anymore.

But there is this fact, they are still the last Worlds champions.  Grin  So we never know... But I can comfortably say they aren't my favourite. I believe in Gen.G to make it. Chovy and Peyz were incredible today by the way. Having such a smart mid-laner should feel awesome for them.

We're getting close to the PGL Wallachia Season 2 and there are a lot of stand ins and roster changes just for this tournament. So, it's hard to say who are the strong ones but all of them are, I guess. I've placed a few bets on it and likely testing the waters. So good luck.
I see you're going for the value bets, I think the first two are more than possible and Wisper playing for beastcoast could be for the better.
You're right mate, while testing the waters, I can see the value with these roster changes but win or lose, that's fine. I think that they're worth it to gamble with.

The recent balance patch could also shake things up now that the meta heroes like Tusk and Sand King received a nerf including crucial items like Gleipnir for the carries and Bracers for the support players.
That's true, that's something that will also change how the good supports are going to react when the nerfed bracers after 25 minutes. But I think during the early game, that's going to be useful and then they'll just have to resell it past that time limit.

We've got some news for these players.

1. Dy retires from competitive scene.

Dy retires and begins streaming career
On October 3, 2024, Dy announced his retirement from pro Dota on Weibo. Dy first made noisy in 2018 and won two Major championships during his time with Vici Gaming. Although his results fluctuated during his early years with XG, he returned to form in 2024, showing consistent performances in tier one events.

2. Dyrachyo moved to inactive roster of Gaimin Gladiators, likely kicked.

There is not a lot of dota 2 matches today, so while waiting for the PGL Wallachia Season to come in less than 2 days. I'd place a bet on the EPL for these tier 2 teams.

If Eternal Fire hadn't made simple mistakes and lost Echo rounds, we would be in 5th place in the World rankings right now, maybe even better.
I've never understood how they can do the hard thing but not the easy thing.
That's why teams are willing to risk a small buy (kevlar/upgraded pistol) after losing a gun round. Even if the win probability is always low against full buys, it only takes one or two winning duels to open the site and potentially lose the round.
