Ouch, this is sad. This season has started wherein some new teams/orgs have initiated to get involved back in the dota 2 scene. But then, with their poor performances and cost and operational expenses going up, they can no longer bear it. It's sad that one of the champs and TI title holders in the past, they can no longer hold the toughness and have to let go of their dota 2 team.  Undecided
I've heard the org dropped some of their rosters and only kept the big ones like their league squad so it's not just an issue with their Dota squad alone.
Too many orgs are doing this, they're dropping their dota 2 roster because the competition is tougher in this esports to be honest.

Good luck with your first two tickets. I can see both series finishing with a draw, but a sweep is always possible for BetBoom if they can continue their dominance after Blast.
Thanks, both bets have been won.  Cheesy
I didn't bet for the second day but will do for the 3rd day of this group stages.

ESL One Bangkok has started. I am going to be conservative for the first part, two draw bets and hopefully one or both of them I hit.

Yeah, they did great and that was also a sweet win for me. Moving on to the next tournaments, we only have few days for the major to come which is the ESL One. And there is also another tournament which is the MESA Invitational and as well as the Fissure play for which the qualifiers will start in a week and a few days.
I saw the FISSURE open qualifiers too which were scheduled in the next few days but the closed qualifiers will be a few weeks from now.

Also, IG made an unfortunate announcement about the org stepping down from the Dota scene. I'm curious about what went wrong with their team since they couldn't produce much results despite having a stacked roster.

Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 full playoff bracket is the MongolZ vs Mouz and on the same day Sprit and Liquid. I believe MongolZ are at the level to make it to the finals.
Although MongolZ was a very underestimated team in the past when they first came on stage.
They have shown that they have come to an incredible place or are there in recent tournaments, especially in the Shanghai Major. They have a very good match with Mouz, it will be a close match, but I see MongolZ as the team closer to winning the series.

Thanks, the game has already started and the first map was taken by Apex Genesis. They're already on the 2nd map and hopefully that they will able to pull this with a 2-0. Otherwise, I hope it would end still with a win even if it ends with 2-1.
It's a clean sweep from Apex Genesis, they had full control of the networth lead in both maps and FUSION didn't even get the opportunity to put up a good fight with how quickly both maps ended.

My MongolZ bet got so sweaty yesterday, Heroic had the opportunity to end the series on a 2-0, then they fumbled the crucial round to give MongolZ a way back to tie things up. After that the MongolZ just run away with the series and Heroic can't keep up with their raw aim.

I knew the matchups wouldn't be close unlike yesterday so i'll play it safe with Team Liquid to win against MIBR. I also had to live bet G2 after they stole a map win from Faze and got some free odds boost out of it.  Cheesy

There's also an EPL World Series, American region Dota 2 that's happening now. This includes North and South American teams. I've bet on Apex Genesis against Fusion. SA teams are underrated but most teams there are very competitive in the pro scene.
Best of luck with that, it's a battle between the top teams, and the value play is definitely on Apex Genesis based on their roster.

I'm continuing with another Shanghai Major bet since the next matches look more predictable than the bo1s they had a few hours ago.

The odds might make the MongolZ look overrated, but i'd rather ride their momentum here after edging out two teams they shouldn't have won against.

Congratulations to BetBoom for winning the Blast Slam I taking home $400k prize money whilst Tundra goes home with half of it.

The only thing that I dislike from this tournament is the format. Basically those that had great result on group stage got the benefit of starting at higher start point for the playoff. I am really tempted to put an outright bet for Betboom to win in ESL one because of their performance against Tundra but then again I realized that they only played 6 times in total on this tournament

These numbers are totally not enough to convince me that they could win the ESL One as well
That's okay, there are different formats per tournaments and you're right that even I, I felt that it's so quick. But those teams that always wins at the very first start and shows up some good records, they're always ending up on a better position during the next stages of the tournament. I just thought of BetBoom to be a good team and they do really are no doubt and so have won this Blast Slam I. So, it's I so there might be a II, III and so on. Next week, we'll start to see the ESL One Bangkok. I can't wait.

It reminds me of the formats from the LoL and CS2 tournaments where teams can skip a match or two in the playoffs if they're the first in their group.

There are points up for grabs in the upcoming ESL tournament and surely the WEU teams would do their best to catch up in the leaderboards. Even then, i'd still say BetBoom has one of the better chances that could likely make it in the finals since we've seen them show up two in a row.

I agree, I didn't thought that they'll make it but they're strong - no doubt. I'm even more counting on the new OG roster but they didn't make it. I've picked still BB over Tundra because I think that they've got a better odds and everyone's expecting them to play better but the bookies has given 1.65 for Tundra.
Good call on BetBoom, I was heavily leaning on Tundra, but BetBoom is one step ahead, and it could've been a sweep when map two felt like a game of inches.

At least they finally broke the curse and snagged a trophy since they've been through several finals and couldn't get through the final hurdle that's usually Falcons or Tundra.
I agree, this is really for them. They've got a lot of attempts in the past but they didn't do. This time, this is theirs. And we've got 1 week to go for the ESL One Bangkok.

I've been following the Shanghai Major these past few days and wanted to test a few picks before the elimination stage. All of the series are now bo3 so i'm assuming there's less room for upsets unlike with the bo1 in the early rounds.

Got a 1-1.

Gonna bet for the finals.

Let's go BetBoom!  Grin

Anyway, some bets for the BLAST Slam. It's already on the semifinals and my bets are no brainer. Since these teams are all great, it's all about who performs better.
We got another Tundra vs. BetBoom rematch in the finals, crazy to think that this same Tundra team was looking like one of the weakest teams the other week after missing out on the ESL qualifiers and now they're the only other team left standing together with BetBoom.  Tongue

Interestingly, we're still getting close odds here even though H2H favors Tundra and BetBoom is playing with gpk instead of kiyotaka.

Team NaVi has acquired team PuckChamp roster and they'll be playing in the ESL One Bangkok

NAVI Returns To Dota 2 By Signing Shad and BOOM’s PuckChamp
So, NaVi's roster is now this;
~
They don't have a big chance but the best teams right now came from the bottom and being unknown too.
Good luck to NaVi.

As per checking these players are just new to my eyes, well not BOOM because I've seen him before, but if they want to qualify in the tournament they need to make sure they can do all their best to win their matches, imagine tons of teams created recently and most of them are already in the pro scene few years back and would like to create a name again so this could be hard to them to quality if there's a lot of gate keepers well lets see until this rooster can do, because Tundra before and OG have this line up but end up to re-shuffle again.
For sure that they're going to do their best. The roster that they have is promising although not as hype as the others of course but they're young and always have got the potential. Even the biggest teams, they are having reshuffling because they keep on finding what's fit on their playstyle.

Luckily, the gatekeepers in their region received a direct invite (Parivision, BetBoom, and Team Spirit) because they've got some of the highest EPT points on the leaderboard. Their roster is somewhat stacked though and QBFY is probably the only player that doesn't have a lot of experience.

Anyway, I had my money today on Team Liquid. Parivision always ended up surprising me. I had them on the last EPT Tournament to get into final but they lost so yeah I dont even consider the possibility that they were going to win against Team Liquid tonight
I also had a ticket on Team Liquid, and they got gapped in their series against Parivision. Their TB pick was so underwhelming he didn't have that much impact in the 5v5 team fights and was forced to play at the backline for the most part.
