Good luck to both of us, now that made me worry about the match winner but I hope both of us wins.
They easily secured my handicap after winning the first map, but I felt bad after they slipped badly on the second map and i'm impressed Tundra kept their composure after losing several team fights, it looked hopeless when they couldn't do much against their big ults.

Tundra's macro was disgusting as well, they're the first ones to get a lane of rax while beastcoast took their sweet time before they started sieging the high ground.

The Heroic bet is a ballsy play, they could maybe take one map out of Team Falcons, but I doubt they'll slip for the second time and lose the series.
You're right on this one but I'd just take a gamble and let's see if some twist will be made by Heroic later.
Exactly what I had on my ticket. Heroic +1.5 and now that it passed I added a bit more on Heroic victory. I feel like when team gets 2 map in a long game, even if the team is underdog odds for game 3 should be about even. 2.4 on Heroic seems like a value for me.

We're now heading off to 6 teams remaining. Two series at the losers bracket and finals at the upper bracket and whoever wins secures top 2 spot and grand finals. These are my bets and I know that Tundra and Team Falcons are strong but it seems Heroic and beastcoast looks good with upsets and they're consistent so I'd place my money again with these South American teams. Good luck.
I'm also on beastcoast, but only for one map instead of the match winner. Tundra is still rated too high by the bookies and beastcoast is slightly performing better after eliminating Avulus yesterday.
Good luck to both of us, now that made me worry about the match winner but I hope both of us wins.

I'd take NaVi too if I had to bet on their series versus Nouns, they might've found their groove after winning maps two and three against Infinity in less than thirty minutes.
Experience is what I am capitalizing with the stand in of NaVi and they'll for sure able to make it against Nouns.

The Heroic bet is a ballsy play, they could maybe take one map out of Team Falcons, but I doubt they'll slip for the second time and lose the series.

Its a freaking trap indeed, Im glad that I actually was busy today then ended up not making the bets ! Actually when I wrote that yesterday I forgot that Tundra was playing with stand-in so yeah that was kinda mistake from me

Heroic won but Tundra was pretty good as well I'd say after I watch the replay. Meanwhile Falcons have won the 1st map as expected. Avulus on the other hand got knocked out, damn. I was actually hoping that they will play against Falcons then have a trashtalk on stage, this would be one of the best moment in dota. Its been a while since we had this kind of beef between players
You're lucky that you missed the series, it was another close series with Heroic still edging Tundra in the end, they had a slight draft issue on the third map and failed to punish Heroic's greedy lineup with the Medusa and Alchemist core.

Today's matches were predictable. Navi- beat Virtus Pro, Virtus Pro was good on the Ancient map but couldn't finish it.
The clutch rounds from NaVi were unreal whenever they were at a disadvantage and about to lose the round jL went ballistic to bring it back for his team and break VP's economy to complete the sweep.

I'm leaning on Heroic because of their recent group stage results and Tundra being the slight favorite here feels like a trap when they still have two core players standing in for the team.

Everyone knows that Faze is in decline, they have good players but I can't say they have a good captain.

As for Faze, they are getting further and further away from their good games. Today's matches were predictable, I should have placed a bet but it's too late now  Cheesy

I got 1-1 yesterday and I am betting for 2 games again today.

Me too. I think that the chemistry of Heroic is much better than with Tundra as they've got some replacement and there could be some communication problem, I mean about not being compatible and confident with each other since they've been just built up for this tournament. I didn't for the other too since the odds don't favor me.

Good luck with Heroic. It's actually a consistent team since the group stages and I think it's a real challenge facing Tundra that has stand in players.

I think they're also consistent as well but this is where the real challenge and let's see if they're going to break Heroic's consistency as they have led the group stages.

Next matchup between Falcons and Nouns should be an easy pick. Falcons might not be as good as last season where they win almost every game with 2-0 straight but they are still better than Nouns for sure
That is true, Team Falcons is still better than nouns but who knows? every match is showing unexpected results.

Any thoughts on this?

Team Falcons to win should be a decent addition to parlays, and Nouns' map handicap could be another option after Team Falcons already dropped two maps out of the three series they've played.

Those two teams to win would be my parlay including T1 @1.35 to win against G2 as the Worlds swiss stage for rounds 4 and 5 continues later today up until the weekend.

Anubis and Inferno maps are normally EF's best maps.
Anubis is usually their first choice. Woxic said in a speech that MongolZ team makes unpredictable plays.
It was a strange situation to lose Anubis and Inferno maps and win Mirage map.

The rest of the tournament will be quarterfinal matches. If nothing goes wrong, we will see Vitality and Navi in the semifinals again.

I forgot to mention that detail also. Thank you for emphasizing that. Those maps are normally the ones we show our best performances. But we really embarrassed ourselves.  Sad

woxic is right about it in fact. Look at our h2h history against The MongolZ until this matchup:

This is their 3rd time beating us in a BO3. What a shame... But they aren't invincible as we beat them once before. I hope next time we prepare better for this clash. By the way The MongolZ lost to Virtus.pro by 2-0 who they beat in the same competition earlier.  Grin

Nouns are an impressive team but sometimes they do tipped me off abit by playing like a trash. They won against Team Spirit on TI but got knocked out after that which was kinda weird. I think they got the potential to be a top 5 teams atleast if they are consistent with their gameplay

I wrote this so Im taking my shot on Nouns.

Odds are kinda even between Avulus and Nouns so it doesnt really matter at this point I guess. Im thinking that maybe taking over 2.5maps could have been a better shot. Entertainment wise, imagine how entertaining it would be if Avulus got dropped down to lower bracket then Ammar will roast them up on his next interview

Eternal Fire lost 2-1 in the match they played against MongolZ in the IEM Rio 2024, group B lower bracket semi-final.
They were really bad on the Anubis map, T map is normal, MongolZ played an incredibly good defense and EF couldn't pass that defense.
They won the Mirage map, it was 1-1 and we suffered another big defeat on the decider map and were eliminated from the tournament.
It was really bad Undecided to beat G2 very easily yesterday, lose to MongolZ and then be eliminated from the tournament.

I got really disappointed with EF's performance today.  Sad  What was that on Anubis and Inferno maps really?  Huh 13-2, 13,4... These are ridiculous results and they must also be aware of it already.

I really wonder what the reason behind is. Being complacent? Or something different?  We did a mega job when we qualified for the Pro League finale before. We could have even become the champions.

Now we are in this situation. Consistency isn't a thing we are great at. We are still suffering the same problems while building our game within rounds. Otherwise we already have really talented players in our hands.

I thought that I'll get a 3-0 yesterday. But in the end, Alliance lost against Infinity. That was a tough call because the series went into 3rd map.

And for today's matches, I've only bet for two matches because the odds for the other games aren't interesting at all and quite low and I will see if I am the bad luck for Avulus because I have bet for them, whenever I bet for them they lose and whenever I don't, they win. Good luck bettors.  Smiley

Anyway despite all that, Avulus is kinda impressive and now I understand why they managed to join PGL through WEU qualifiers. Yeah they lost to Falcons but its Falcons though and they are way better. I'd love to watch their rematch on playoff, it would be great
The same goes for the other teams, they're getting good results because most of the top teams aren't playing except for Team Falcons and Heroic.

It'll be spicy if they get placed in the same bracket and possibly set a rematch in one of the upper bracket rounds.  Grin

They are actually on the same bracket but its on the quarterfinals bracket so both have to win another game to actually meet on the next game. Im confident that Falcons going to win against BC, on the other hand Im not sure if Avulus could beat Nouns.
