Unfortunate loss on my over 2.5 as PSG.LGD played like trash in those two games.

Super solid game between Tundra and GG. A very close game and I thought GG was already finished since they got a bad start. GG is always so good on recovering and manage to find a way to reverse the outcome of the game. Dryacho Medusa is so hard hitter on this game that makes Skitter Brood looks like a pos 3 with so squishy on dusa hits.

Tundra made a mistake by giving GG a breathing room to recover on the late game. I didn't place a bet on this match but I have high hopes for GG here since I'm expecting BB vs GG in the grand finals. It's worth the wit watching this match.
That comeback in the third game was unbelievable from Gaimin Gladiators. After losing several team fights in the early to mid game I thought they were guaranteed to lose because they're lacking the damage with Medusa always dying first but Tundra bit off more than they can chew in that one high ground siege in the bottom lane diving near the tier 4 towers of Gaimin and dying unnecessarily. This series might be the most action-packed series we have today unless Aster and EG could replicate that same intense series.

IEM Cologne 2023 Play-in starts tomorrow. Excited to see how the dark horse teams from the major, like ITB and Monte, perform after some roster changes and the season break. Here's my pick for the first round of the play-in tomorrow. Betting on some upsets here considering it's a BO1 match.

G2 is actually a really good team when we look at their roster, but it is obvious that there is still something that is not in order.I think they will continue to get bad results in tournaments if they do not resolve this as soon as possible and get healthy.
Agree, with all those raw talents in Niko, Monesy and jks. Hard to see them struggling a bit like this.

Anyway, moving on, what's your favorite pick for Cologne? Group B (Navi, Vitality, G2, Faze) is so stacked, not even counting the teams from the play-in stage, but only 3 can make it to the playoffs. Feels bad.
I have the same excitement. We were able to see the performances of Tier 1 teams in the new season, albeit a little. We watched some teams in Navi, Vitality and NA, and there are important changes in those teams. Your choices look very good, first of all I wish you luck. Now I'm going to make my comment. Among your choices, I might be a little skeptical about the BIG vs APEX and Monte vs IMPERIAL matches. Especially in this tournament, I wonder how Apeks and monte will start their new roster this season. They were both teams that had a pretty good major.

Group B at IEM Cologne 2023 is truly a lethal group. I think the teams that will face those teams will be eliminated directly. Between these four teams passes the final stages. If you ask which one will do the best grade. In Blast Premier, I was able to analyze the teams a little bit. In my opinion, if Navi holds a chemistry and can provide a good flow, they will win the cup, but I can say that it depends on s1mple, it makes me think whether it will be compatible with the team. FaZe looks pretty fit on the other hand, especially Ropz.

PSG.LGD is going to go home with $300,000. Why is this tournament isn't like a sad ending when a team goes home and is kicked out of the tournament? It's because the prizes are just too high for a tournament and even the lowest has taken a good amount of money. It was a 2-0 for Quest Esports and looks easy when they've stomped the defending champion. Yes, PSG.LGD was the Riyadh Masters 2022 grand champion.
Quest moves on to the next bracket and waits on the winner of the match of Tundra and GG which is happening now.

On another side, BB is currently losing the 1st map  Roll Eyes and I thought I was lucky to catch that high odds. On top of that, Rollbit actually let me cash those out before the game even began for 1.01x which is silly because all I know is that you are losing some money when you cash them out before the game so it kinda sparked my attention there as I thought this is going to be easy money tonight but I guess I'll keep on watching this and see how this turns out
I had BB -1.5 on their series and I thought my bet was cooked when I saw 9 Pandas cruising with a big networth lead. I regret riding them out in the second map as they went for an experimental draft and thought it was still the group stage. Tongue

The over 2.5 remains to be the trend and i'll continue betting on that since it's go big or go home for both teams in the lower bracket with big money on the line and their last meeting in the group stage was 1-1.

Quest would've been a good catch when they opened at 1.70, but the odds already went down (1.5-1.45), so i'm leaning on the over 2.5 @1.95 as well. BB winning 2-0 is priced at 2.30 the bookies are generous to put it this high, but I guess they're not sold over BB's dominant performance in the groups.

Yeah and Im glad that I took over 2.5 maps on Talon vs Quest

What cool match between GG and Liquid on the Upper Bracket of Riyadh Master. Liquid finally break the curse of losing consistently to GG for a long time in different tournament that they met each other. Liquid manage to have a good draft against GG and Nisha beat Quinn on mid lane on all 3 games which the big factor on Liquid success.

This is my first time to win a bet with Liquid against GG. I hesitated to bet on -1.5 but ML
Liquid pick is still a solid pick so far. I’m hoping that GG will bounce back again on Lower Bracket until finals. I thought the game will gonna be a comeback for GG since Dryacho and Quinn already catch up on late game but Liquid manage to end the game by pressuring the mid and use all their utilities including cheese, refresher and aegis to pressure GG to commit on that last team fight. What a game.

I'm extremely excited for the playoffs now. I did small bets for tomorrow's games.
I am still looking forward to seeing your "match winners" bets guys, please share so we can discuss and bet if we're convinced.

For the upper bracket tomorrow, I am afraid to bet on some match winners because of the odds and unexpected wins of the upper bracket teams even if they are a team who already made a lot of losses.
The best example is Team Liquid, last days of the group stage, they really did well and made them to be in the upper bracket.

You already won your first bet. I am confused about who to bet between those teams but my heart wants Quest it won't be easy so 3 maps was a perfect bet.

I bet on GG here. Liquid might have won games lately but between its matches with GG, they are always no match. They met a lot in many finals this year and I doubt the outcome will change this time.

I also have ML bets on Team Spirit and BetBoom as well. BetBoom is my favorite team to have a real chance of giving GG a tough series. GG already swept all the majors and big tournaments this season and we'll see if it remains perfect by taking Riyadh Masters as well.

G2 - NaVi was a really competitive matchup as you can understand from the results of the maps as well. Maybe NaVi won by 2-0 but it ended 16-14 on Inferno and Mirage both. G2 were worse on T-side on both maps which gave their opponent an advantage. Besides NaVi made a fresh start with a new roster to a new adventure. G2 could have taken advantage of that by showing a better team performance maybe. But NaVi made a really good progress in such as short time.

s1mple and b1t carried their team on Inferno by being the most fraggers. On Mirage there was a really good team effort with similar stats on NaVi side and it was enough to win that map as well. NiKo and huNter's 30-frag performances weren't enough to extend the series to decider.

This is also the last day for the group stages and likely Tundra is going to go home whether they win against Team Secret. But I don't know if that's going to be right, just 1 more game for all of these games that are having a match now and we'll see if there will be another decider aside from what I have mentioned.

No, Tundra has a chance to get the last spot for the lower bracket on their group since they manage to join the triple tie breaker against TSM and Shopify when they get 1-1 against Secret while TSM and Shopify sweep both their respective match.

Tiebreaker is on right now with TSM already got their first win agains Shopify.
TSM and Shopify Rebellion were out yesterday and you're right that it was Tundra that got in on the lower bracket.

Going back to the present match, I've just watched the first game of Talon Esports and Quest Esports. This is what I like about Dota 2, this match is hype.

Talon was visible to win the game but then Quest Esports was able to defend the tree for so long, I thought that comeback was real but still Talon proclaimed and won the 1st game.

Im not sure about Quest because Talon is a team that could easily turn the tide around. Totally not the type of team that is on par with all the other top teams right now but they have the potential to shaken up some expectation so I might take over 2.5 maps on this game but BB is definitely going to win 2-0 for sure though

Aster vs Team Spirit is also hard to predict who will win. I probably will go to +1.5 on these matches.
Their series is the only one close to even while the rest have a clear favorite, so going +1.5 on the underdogs is worth a shot, as they're sitting at 1.52~.

With that, the bracket is now complete for the playoffs. Tomorrow we will see the upper bracket's matches. Quest and Betboom will probably win their series.

GG and Team Liquid will be tough one. Team Liquid is currently on a roll, but I think Team Liquid has not won against GG this year. GG, though shaky in the group stage, always becomes a different beast when they are in playoffs. I believe they will continue to do so.

We've seen this numerous time, GG hasnt always been the best in group stage but somehow they always made it to the grand final and Liquid has never won against them so yeah easy pick on this one

Tundra actually made the cut. They won the tiebreaker matches against TSM and Shopify Rebellion. They easily dismantled these two teams. They will be in the lower bracket for the playoffs.

With that, the bracket is now complete for the playoffs. Tomorrow we will see the upper bracket's matches. Quest and Betboom will probably win their series. Betboom is strong in this tournament, only losing to Team Secret in the group stage. That is just probably a fluke and Betboom will probably continue their winning streak in the playoffs.

Betboom is on a roll, and that Secret sweep defeat is something that not everyone has seen from a distance. Those who stayed faithful with BB since the start of the Riyadh Masters are surely rewarded with a lot of money. Hopefully they win this tournament, since it's still uncertain of what will happen to Pure after this. Surely Valve will not just stop from banning him in the Bali Majors. There has to be something more than that.

They are really strong and if they were able to play in Bali Major, they have the higher chance of beating GG than team Liquid. I think they will be able to show us in this tournament how strong they really are. GG vs Betboom will something to watch. Both teams are very disciplined and have good strategy in this patch.

Hopefully, they will allow Pure to play in TI. Seeing how good they play now, I bet they will be better in TI. It will be more exciting to watch them on the grandest stage of DOTA.

Anyway BB will be playing against TSM tomorrow so probably last chance to take another 2-0 sweep for BB

Another 2-0 sweep for BB as expected. Anyone that made all those -1.5 maps on BB would have made decent amount even if it lose once against Secret which is kinda unexpected ( I guess 322 mafia or some sort was disturbing the flow of that game whatsoever ).

From here onwards, the prizes are pretty huge. Any team that got eliminated on 9-12th will get $300k which is $100k higher than winning the Major

That oil money really is flowing in all things sports. $15 million prize pool isn't a joke, and any teams would surely want to get better placements and get more money.

In the EG-G2 match, G2 was the winner.Although G2 had a hard time against its opponent, it knew how to win in the match that went into overtime.NiKo showed a legendary performance in the match, we can say that he was the name that made the difference among the players who played and we can easily say that he was the name that actually won the match for his team.He showed an extraordinary performance by getting exactly 89 kills on 3 maps.We can say that he received over 27 kill frag on all 3 maps.
G2 were so convincing in the first map that I thought they would easily get 2-0'd EG. I wondered what went wrong with the second and third maps. Niko carried them so hard like he really didn't want to lose to EG Cheesy

0/2, what a bad pick.

Placing a small bet for +1.5 BIG, expecting another upset like we have seen on EG yesterday. As for the second match, I'll be cheering and betting for Navi as usual. The market priced Navi as the underdog but looking at how shaky G2 was yesterday against EG, I'm confident Navi can take this.

G2 is actually a really good team when we look at their roster, but it is obvious that there is still something that is not in order.I think they will continue to get bad results in tournaments if they do not resolve this as soon as possible and get healthy. As you said, we can say that they played a very good game as a team on the first map. On the Nuke map, NiKo's 35 kills were not enough for them to win the map.NiKo did more than his best, but his teammates could not support him enough on the Nuke map and they lost.On the Decider map, it was G2 who won the match with NiKo's obvious performance superiority.

The winner of the Vitality-BIG match was the French team Vitality. I can't say I'm surprised because we can easily say that vitality is by far the better side in terms of roster. If we look at the overall performance of the players, Vitality players seem to have shown a more balanced performance. In BIG, we see that despite Mantuu's great performance, he could not win the match for the BIG team. Even though Mantuu had the most kills in the match, it was not enough for them to win.
In the other match, NaVi was the winner in a close map scoring match. Both teams played in the middle throughout the match, but s1mple made the difference and won the match. When we compare the players of the two teams, we can easily say that NaVi's players are actually superior to G2.
