It's gonna be very difficult to surpass BTC i think. And Eth networks are becoming slower day by day & also expensive. If you see recent ICO gas war's. You can see that people are spending 200-300$ just for Gas.
Forget about Ethereum. First came Bitcoin, then Ethereum and now we have Alvalor. Looking one step ahead is going to make many people extremely wealthy.
The possibility to increase the value if ether is have a big chance in the market cap through the combination of drop coin and blockchain. Plus the implementation of ICO using ethereum blockchain and most of token of ICO is ether based now. Before the value of ether in late 2017 is 10 USD than early of 2018 the value of ether hits to 1,000 +++ USD. But in the early of February 2018 the value of ether dumped to almost 700 USD but today ether is starting to recover it value and constantly recover. This year many prediction that ether will rise and bubble it value like bitcoin last year.
I think the whole altcoin can have a chance to beat and replace bitcoin, one of them is Ethereum (ETH), so I believe that Ethereum (ETH) will beat and replace the bitcoin in the future.
I totally disagree with you. No altcoin can ever have the momentum of Bitcoin. Ethereum is very popular and widely used, but Ethereum has serious competition as well - NEO. NEO is going to hurt Ethereum and Bitcoin will be always far ahead.
I do not think it's possible. Eth is a platform used for business purposes, projects, etc. Bitcoin is rather an investment. Besides, I hope that eth will come out of the shadow of bitcoin.
I believe it will increase up to $5,000 the price of ethereum this year, if you look back in last year the price of ethereum was $10 and the highest price reach $1,400 was last month so I'm sure it will increase $5,000.

I believe bitcoin is still leading as cryptocurrencies and eth cannot replace bitcoin. This is my observation about bitcoin that in the future it will very high its demand. Although ethereum has many supports yet users are always into bitcoin. Ethereum and bitcoin has it's difference usage and functionality are very important. Right now, price of ETH is low, is there again rise in the ETH ? I can see eth going above bitcoin because of combination between drop in the price of bitcoin and increase in the price of eth.
there are too many predictions and sign in ethereum to be rise. by mid year it is possible to reach 4-5k usd and by the end of the year 7-9k usd. thats my predictions in ethereum according to my research.

In my opinion, ETH will dethrone BTC in this particular year. The reason is that BTC is too heavy to move due to conflict of interest and stuff. However, ETH's team and community are working together to make ETH a better project everyday.
No it's not! There are many new upcoming crypto/blockchain based technologies that are far superior than both Bitcoin and Ethereum. These cryptos are maybe a platform, a pure transfer of value, both, or even a more sophisticated tech that can undermine a specific industry and any obsolete system.
This is also true however the most important of them all is whether this token are going to be used widely just as bitcoin and eth are. None of the tokens or platform were being widely used for now. If later a breakthrough will finally be announced like NEO which is my bet, this will sweep them all under the rug when bigc chinese community supports it.

Well it could be! After all it ranks second tailing bitcoin. As of today I checked the value of bitcoin against ethereum and it is around 1:10 ratio which is just close. Probably they could meet at the top depending upon which coin will become trusted among common users and the companies.

Bitcoin will always be on top, due to its popularity and the fact that its a pioneer in the whole crypto world. Bitcoin will always have the edge. But we should not forget that Ethereum has had a few good achievements in the past and still is one of the best coins out there.
may be so, but it is impossible, where bitcoin is the main coin of various coins including ethereum, and ethereum is also now the main coin of buy sell tokens / ERC20 possibly also can be said ethereum will be a bitcoin rival in the future. In my opinion .
Yes it is possible, Yesterday eth could break up to $ 1,300. The current price is around $ 900 and probably will continue to go up to $ 1000 ++, And to replace the btc position is possible but I think it will be quite difficult.
I think even though it is now almost able to compete with bitcoin in its fame. But in terms of price, the price is very different and to achieve it will take a very long time for eth.

I don't think this way, for me, Bitcoin is like the gold and store of value while Ethereum is more about blockchain use cases and technology. Ethereum allow people to create a project inside the blockchain
