I see from LTC coin motion graphics is also very fast and for many predictions on altcoin this seems a lot of possibility it will really happen in the future.

Ethereum would be my choice.
Litecoin doesn't have anything, no nice developments, for years already.

I would choose ETH because ETH is more community accepted. ETH has a very professional management team. Most ICO projects are now based on ETH. These things make the value of ETH will constantly increase.

I think that ethereum is better than litecoin in long term as new token projects will keep coming. Litecoin is great coin as its even allowed in my country's local market to buy with fiat but I don't it is more than faster btc clone.

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market.  Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC.  It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it.  I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019.  It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin.   I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future.  Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product.  Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere.  My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years?  I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside.  Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC?  What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?

I have nothing against BTC.  I don't see it going anywhere.  It is the giant.  However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Thanks
I think you should invest in both of them as both of them are capable of high returns in the long run. Ethereum is one of the most popular crypto available in the market and is master of all smart contracts. It is the most popular platform for hosting ICOs and can help you eanr high amount of returns in the long run. Litecoin on the other hand so know for its quick transactions and has a very strong and promising team. Diversifying your investment between the two of them can help you earn high returns.

Eth is a very promising coin. It is mostly used in ico because it is stable. You probably will gain much with holding it. You can half your investment with ltc. Ltc is also a stable coin. I have already gained so much with holding my ltc.

I really agree with your investment but how do you keep your ltc coin safely because it is now rampant criminalism occurs in this crypto world there is my friend who lost 10 eth in his wallet and there are also up to 24 eth then what about you yourself do you feel your wallet is already safe from the criminals?

My opinion — if LTC wants to be 2nd ETH — LTC dev & community should provide more value to people.
ETH provide it with smart contracts as a base for ICOs. LTC benefit was speed, but with latest changes of Bitcoin code, it's not a benefit anymore.
People still hold LTC because the litecoin price is very stable.

I think you should take the ETH because more in use for transaction or launching an ICO, they sometimes use ETH besides BTC which is certain.
there are also some who only accept payments using ETH.
while LTC I'm not sure he will beat ETH.

Offcourse ETH, ETH is more reliable than LTC. If you can go with Alt coin then go with ETH.

Good for long term? simply both of them. But if only one of them to choose, I won't let myself being manipulated by the Chinese. They control the market of LTC but not ETH. I'll go with Ethereum, this is better than any other altcoin in the market. Next to bitcoin and has a lot of good track when it comes to innovation and it's developer is very active interacting with the market. Our money is worth to invest with Ethereum.

I think for long term it would be ETH, even though ltc was created bfore Eth it does not prove to bring anything differnt from the bitcoin, that is why poeple just think of it as a copy cat, eth on the other hand brings so much more than a currency, it lets poeple create thier own currency and deal with it, and i think for this reason that we are going to see ETH get more and more popular in the future, a great proof to my idea is that there are so many ico starting up and making announcment on this forum and this means that it is getting popular quickly.

for me both are for long term but ethereum have more features than ltc which is the reason why ethereum have higher price than ltc its better to split the investing in 50/50 since its 2 coins. but there are alot of altcoins to invest out there why invest to in a coin who already bloomed and some other undervalued coins beats this two coins.

This is not an easy question. Both of these coins will grow and gain momentum, but who faster? I would take both coins in equal shares, that would be ready for all variants of the development of events.

Agree, they're both good rivals and also with one of the best development, support and marketing teams. The only thing that is used to be determined which one is better than the other would be the coin value and that's really the biggest deal in terms of stability and sustainability. People would lookup on their price history and how they recover in such number of dumps in the past.
As of this writing the coin price:
Litecoin - $67
Ethereum $333
For the long term investment? well, that depends but I think Ethereum is a clear winner for coin price advancement and LiteCoin has lot to work on in order to pump their coin price and the market cap.

If I have to choose between ETH and LTC only, I will choose to invest more in ETH.
As you mentioned, BTC price is too high, you can choose to buy the amount you are comfortable with. There is no need to buy 1 BTC.
Ethereum is going to have a high price soon.
Litecoin is going to increase as well but it's a little bit too manipulated to see any fast growth.

Indeed, Ethereum has more advantages than LitCoin but doesn't mean LiteCoin is behind than Ethereum. LiteCoin has good core also and their dev team are working 24/7 to maintain good reputation and to attract more investors in order to rise their values but still Ethereum has more to offer. Their ERC20 are compatible with other Altcoin and you can collect a lot of tokens under your Ethereum ERC20 wallet. And I found this feature very interesting.

When it comes to ALT coins I would say that I would always hold Ether, not LTC.

That said - this may change as NEO starts to gain a market presence!
