If you are going to invest for long term then both coins OK but Ethereum is going with very strong marketing as most of ICO's using ethereum chain for giving tokens and Ltc is stuck on same price for long time so investing in Ethereum is giving some good profit right now investing in this is good

Kinda new in the crptospace though so can't really say..however,both eth and ltc got prospects...for me,eth goes for the win...see it reaching back to it's ATH before year end.
well for me I agree that eth will prosper more if we are dealing with long term as we see bitcoin still insisting its position as the number 1 in crypto currency while another coins are out from the origin and what will possibly happen with ltc as its was created to settle some issue from bitcoin core or its just a copy of btc.

Both coins are potentially good for long term, but I see bigger potential in ETH so if i would invest now i would do 70% ETH and 30% LTC  Smiley

I think both coins are not a bad investment and both coins are very stable in this time, But I prefer eth is better than ltc.

In the long run all that will remain is some quantum-proof smart contract supporting and energy efficient blockchain. I guess it hasnt been invented yet but soon it will be.

LTC is going to be in a battle with BCH to become BTC's little brother. ETH offers something other than LTC or BTC, so I'd say ETH at this point. Most ICOs still use ETH

Litecoin is more stable than the ETH price,so i will stick LTC for the long term, then im going to trade ETH for short term trades.
yes this is true, ltc is very stable but eth is also not less stable but if we see from potential aspect it will win ethereum, why? because their platform is used in all ico.

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market.  Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC.  It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it.  I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019.  It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin.   I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future.  Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product.  Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere.  My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years?  I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside.  Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC?  What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?

I have nothing against BTC.  I don't see it going anywhere.  It is the giant.  However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Thanks

I would suggest if you are not very clear on the two, follow your initial information and use it to guide your decision. I personally feel the strength of Litecoin is more subtle than Ethereum, but more stable and long term. Ethereum is a bit funny in that you never know what shape it will take. In 2016 it was forked, this year again just forked, it seems hard forks just happen every time there is a problem, like a simple rewind and play.

Maybe this works for ETH but I like to think I want to know what to expect, and Litecoin is that to me. $200 possible, but do not be hopeful of that in 2018. Long term hold for sure.

Both of them are good for long term investments. You can split two and you will be very happy in the end of few years.
I always say splitting risks are very important on investments.

I believe that Ethereum will have a longer term than Litecoin. But both are impressive.

I preferred to LTC has a bright future and still stable coin. That doesn't mean i don't like ETH. But if you want to invest in long-term make the high percentage for LTC 3:1

Litecoin was established long before Ethereum was born but their development were slow compared to Ethereum. For price stability litecoin was more stable than ethereum but in terms of mass adoption ethereum has a greater advantage. Both coins has its own strength and weaknesses but i preferably in favour of ethereum due to its dynamic development and more enterprise support. So for long term goal i'll go for ethereum, at the end of this year it is predicted to hit the target @ 400 USD ATH.

Both of them works fine. Best choice is not to choose one of them, and also not to choose two of them, split your money with different percentages; put some of them to ETH, some LTC, some BTC and WAVES. Reduce the risk of losing (and also winning) but ensure the profit.

eth and ltc is the right choice to invest.

ETH will end bloody and badly, POS is a mess of a distribution plan/method, If Vita Cheesy puts a cap on ETHEREUM's head and limits the total supply everyone would know what they are gonna do and we could plan for 10/15 years in to the future like with bitcoin.
LTC had an extraordinary pump, Because I created a frenzy around related topics back when I was holding my LTC bags Cheesy After BTC I'd say to get in on both of them, Before it's too late more Cheesy

I also go for ETH because it is stable and most of the ICOs using this network for their smart contracts so it is tested for fast transactions, I also have a lot of token in ETH network too.

Eth got a better chance to go up than ltc, ltc revived when bitcoin got trouble and since everything is fine with bitcoin, the fame of ltc is going down again, you can see from the chart the price ever stand still withouy any improvement for a long time
