Ethereum was disappointing all year long..Had a little move in the last week of the year..Numerous scam projects that were launched last year were one of the factors affecting Ethereum..I think the price will increase in the new year thanks to both fork and new projects.

If ethereum is hard to obtain doesn't mean it will get expensive,the analysis you made went wrong the prices gone deeper again after Christmas so in January $800 looks impossible.

It should be green days, I am expecting that total coinmarketcap will be more than 200 billion dollars. If it happened then whole crypto market will be green and every trader will be happy. BTC at 10K$ and ETH at 600$ is the estimate. Let's see and wait for few days.

They have chance but it's only a little bit. But for sure in the near future it will turn again to $800 and take note not only that because more than that plud heres the bonus it will become thousands dollars plus become the next bitcoin after few years.

Youre right when you said ETH holders put their hopes alot on ETH base on the previous record of the project and the professional level of the project developer teams and this why the communties want vitalik buterin and the rest of the team to implement the shards and casper as soon as possible. With that been said I will advice to wait till next year Q4 and for EOS and XRP such coins doesnt worth it due to it been centralized.

It will increase but it will not so much as the title of this thread. the block reward will be getting more than 30% to reduce and that makes sense to see at least more than 30% growth in the price of ethereum caused by the reward.

I believe ethereum will increase even altcoin too, but to be able to reach its peak price again or $ 800 or maybe more in the near future seems difficult, but the crypto market is difficult to predict what will happen even though the possibility is small.

Looks far fetch to see ETH back to more than $500 again in weeks. I do have some ETH that I keep but I don't expect it to be huge in a year again. I'm willing to wait for years, I may sell or keep it forever til I badly need the money. Speculations are weirder these days, this I guess is because holders put their hopes a lot on ETH. There has to be more than the coins on top of the CMC such as EOS and XRP.

I don't think that there is any chance that Ethereum will go up to $800 dollars in January. I think it would increase but it wouldn't go high as that. Because it took a really long time before Ethereum reached the $1000 dollar point in 2017.

Everything in cryptomarket is quiet exaggerated, well its just a prediction because many believes that after the fork of eth and the etf for bitcoin the price will rise high again. For me, I will just wait for that moment and see if my strategies will work because I don’t invest base on any prediction, I look for every details of every coin before I invest.

Probably what will happen in the end. This time it will drop to less than $50. When they fork BCH, all coins drop too which is likely to happen as well with this ETH fork.

Buyers then are different from the current type of buyers. Having seen what can happen in a highly volatile market this year, there may not be much hype to propel any coin to more than 20% in a run. So i highly doubt 800usd is possible.

There are lots of small investors that are now hesitate to invest with this kind of market also the reason of bitcoin and crypto is a scam, I got a friend that has been a victim of cryptocurrency so if that is also the perception of others to crypto it will really affect the market.
