EtherDelta is a good exchange. Just use Metamask or go to the Tezor hardware wallets, and your coins will be safe. And do not forget to check the name of the site!
This exchange I have always raised doubts. Yes here you can buy or sell coins very cheaply, but I'm not sure what it's worth. You can use it now but I would not keep my money there more than a couple of hours.
For me, I think I feel insecure about Etherdelta. I tried to trade there, but I am scared because of what happened to them last time. They were hacked, so I feel scared when I want to trade some coins for ETH.

As far as I know, all the vulnerabilities in EtherDelta have already been eliminated and now this exchange is safe. But if you want to find an alternative, you can try using the IDEX exchange.

i go to idex or forkdelta if u asking decentralized exchange.
I hesitate to use it and many people end up using ED because the main exchange can not be done yet and many comments are not good for it.
