Everyone has an opinion on this score. But I see Ethereum recently as the main platform for financial calculations and for so many ICO.
Ethereum will always be a long time hold for me as an earlier adopter.
There were many times when I thought to myself about selling off even a few of them, and thankfully I never did.

I don't think you should limit your horizons to one coin. For a more stable and balanced wallet you should invest in a few coins and the more - the better. If the question is that the first will grow, then I think it's worth buying Bitcoin.

ethereum still a good choice to hold for now as we know there are many new projects that using ethereum network as their based network. and I think this will give the impact for the ethereum price because more projects will launch in the ethereum network. I still hold my ethereum like other people and I don't want to sell it before the price can increase more than 0.09xx btc because I am sure that ethereum price can increase higher like the last year.
I think ETH have many problem. BTC is too. I just use 20% to hold ETH and 10% to hold BTC. I buy altcoin more when they down. Today, BTC dump and dump, all of market is FUD. and i use 40% my balance to buy alt top 10
I always prefer bitcoin. This is the most stable investment, as funny as it may sound. Bitcoin will absolutely grow. If not today, then tomorrow or in six months. The ETH may fall to $300 and two years to keep the price. If ICO will start to tightly control around the world.
right now I see ethereum have better business opportunity and have better price movement so I prefer to invest in ethereum and hold ethereum because it will be more profitable right now
Both are good to hold for long term you will not loss money if you invest one of them, but if you like to invest in ethereum then go ahead hold ethereum for long term I'm sure you will earn profit.

I choose bitcoin for the first place and ethereum is the second place. bitcoin is a must coin buy right now and ethereum is another choice of the coin that we can buy. although there are other coins to hold, I think if we can hold bitcoin and ethereum only, it will bring a good profit in the future. but to hold those coin, we need to have a big patient because the price of bitcoin and ethereum is not stable and can moving in any of price.

yes because at this moment I see the price of Ethereum down then you can hold it now and wait for the new price back you can sell it and earn profits because altcoin price was currently declining and not yet rising because bitcoin price also not yet stable
