This is the right time to invest ethereum and bitcoin right now because it has a cheap price and its price is slowly recovering.
Based on available information, you should invest in both of them to gain more profit. I think you should invest 70/30 of your money (70 on eth and 30 on btc). But it is still up to you. They are both for long-term investment and has good potential to grow further.

It seems to me now better to invest in the ethereum because it is gaining momentum much faster than bitcoin specifically at the moment

It is better to invest in the BTC than in ETH because the BTC is the leader in cryptocurrency and the greater it is.
I see more reason to keep Ethereum than Bitcoin. For the moment a lot of projects are based on Ethereum. Actually most of them. I do not see that changing, even with Neo gaining some speed, and EOS and Matrix on the horizon.

I think it's better to hold ETH, Eth can give you more profit than Bitcoin. Best option is 50% ETH, 50% of other good coins, i mean altcoins, not bitcoin. Altcoins can also give you huge profits. Holding your ETH is the best possible way for now as ETH is on the progress of gradual increase. Just continue holding while you wait for it to spike high and definitely you will get good profit later.
