WE all have that coin that we believe soo much in that we cant get convinced otherwise about it majorly due to the projects they run, ETH is a good coin but it will be very difficult for it to overtake BTC, BTCis still the future coin

Ethereum can never touch bitcoin price not because there total supply is different it is because bitcoin is prime and first so its popularity is much bigger than any other cryptocurrency and its application are also greater in number. But ethereum will remain second as its dependent project are growing rapidly.

Though many people would get hurt by it but the bitcoin community has become so large and diverse and discrete that there are very few possibilities of changes on it's functionality and blockchain and hence will soon be obsolete.

Ethereum along with new generation of coins are multifuncitonal and with their multipurpose blockchains, will serve greater purpose.

ETH will allow $2T of underground economy to become more structured (and possibly less underground) through DAOs.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/04/23/americas-2-trillion-shadow-economy-is-the-recessions-big-winner/

If it captures 1% of that $2T, it is equivalent to $20B, which would put ETH somewhere around $150. Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come. If it captures 10% of that ETH will be $1500. I know it sounds crazy, but so did the Internet in 1995.

Once it's launched their main focus will be on scalability, which I think is the real reason crypto is not ready for mainstream. Once they can handle 100K TPS (and I'm sure they will), it's game over.
Ethereum is also developing very well with Bitcoin, but looking at the way two developing currencies do, we find that the development platform is the same, but Bitcoin is still the most attractive, while Bitcoin was supposedly the king currency on the market if Ethereum wanted to be the future of Crypto, so Bitcoin overtake and led the market ahead.

Ethereum is a world-wide virtual platform based on a blockbuster (continuous transaction chain). This is the first platform that made it possible to conclude "smart contracts" of any complexity and monitor the fulfillment of the terms of the transaction. The possibilities of this system are unlimited. This makes it possible to invest in promising projects, like this one https://goo.gl/7RC9x8

In the future,Blockchain technology will not be used solely for digital currency applications, we call this upgrade Crypto 2.0, OuKuai Lian 2.0 or even Bitcoin 2.0.

ETH released in 2015, it is currently the largest and most complete open software platform, can make intelligent contracts and the construction of distributed application and operation are not subject to any third party of downtime, fraud, control and interference effects.

The purpose of BTC and ETH is different. Although bitcoin was originally created as a substitute for conventional money, it is also a means of paying for the medium and value of transactions. But ETH is designed to be a platform so that it can make P2P transactions and applications easy to use through its own monetary tools. Although the BTC and ETH are digital currency, but the main purpose of the ETH was not built to pay for his replacement (which differ from BTC) but to make operation of the ETH facilitation and monetization, so that developers can build and run the distributed applications.

I really like the Ethereum technology and I have an investment in it myself, but I don't think it will be able to surpass bitcoin. It's too early to talk about it now, because Ethereum is a very young coin.

No, I don't think so, it may be as important as BTC, but to stand in competition ETH has to work a lot more.

Ethereum — platform for the implementation of projects, creation of the blockchain and smart contracts conclusion. This is a fundamental difference and determines the status of the cryptocurrency, which is essentially only a means of calculation within the blockchain service, and its prospects. If there is nothing behind the BTC, the ETH is the equivalent of the cost of the service demanded in certain circles. And while there is a demand for this service, there is a demand for crypto Ethereum.

Yes. To date, this is the only cryptocurrency that really works. Which are used.

Since the etherium does not jump like bitcoin at the speed of light, as he quickly caught up with him by popularity, then yes.

A lot of people think Eth will eventually replace btc, so it might be the future of crypto after all.

If the etherum team succeeds in implementing all the planned updates, this will make this platform even more popular and the price coins will start to rise. It is possible that by the summer the etherium will bypass the capitalization of bitcoins.

I'm not sure Ethereum would be the future of crypto, and it could replace Bitcoin. Ethereum has a great team of developers as well as a large number of its users and big investors, but it is not as valuable as Bitcoin.

Maybe it's not so valuable today, but it will be very valuable in a few years. In crypto everything changes quickly. ETH technology is better than bitcoin. I hope that no one disputes this fact. Bitcoin also needs to be improved in order to hold the leadership.

I think neither of them is the future tbh and a combination of strong altcoins (different coins for different use cases and or features) will be the future.
Other coins are still dependent on bitcoin/eth etc as an intermediary exchange value, once it becomes easier to convert altcoins to usd (a lot of projects are working on automatic exchanges etc) then there is no reason that a newer coin with a better technical implementation becomes the new standard for a certain use case or feature. Of course it will take some time for that to happen.

Lol good luck with the sea of altcoins that overpromise way too much and underdeliver by a huge amounts. People forget how difficult building the actual technology is. Writing a whitepaper isn't how you build things. Bitcoin has survived in the wild for a long time. Ethereum has its own strengths although less proven adversarially than Bitcoin. A sea of altcoins with shiny whitepapers are not going to replace them.

Ethereum has been rallying since January 1 though, and its market cap grew past every other coin except Bitcoin. It certainly has been benefiting from the civil war in Bitcoin and I expect it to, after a bit of consolidation, benefit from the idiocy of Core and the miners rejecting growth.

For me, in any cryptocurrency the bitcoin is the mother, bitcoin is the popular to all users in cryptocurrencies. and because the bitcoin is still alive and its too far to disappear, I will consider it as a future of cryptocurrency not etherium. I saw in the ranking of cryptocurrencies, the etherium is only number two so if the bitcoin will end then the etherium will next to it.
