As far as i know At present bitcoin has been facing lots and lots of issues from governments around the globe. Ethereum till date haven't faced serious issues from governments. All that it has faced is the network congestion, freezing of funds, stealing of large volumes. So, for long term investment ethereum to can be considered similar to bitcoin
these two coins I think if made for investment will be very profitable and have great potential in the future, so I will choose both for my investment, 50% BTC and 50% for Ethereum, I think it would be a great advantage if it has both.
In main times, ethereum and bitcoin are good projeft to investments. Many people has been interested to join it. In addition if I choose 1 or them, I would like to choose the bitcoin. Bacause, bitcoin is the part of the altcoin project who we can get more information or more coins. So can be concluded that bitcoin is the good of part in altcoin to goal of investments.
Personally, both coins are profitable in terms of term investment is that bitcoin prices are rapidly rising and rising. which is why many users only invest into bitcoin because of the speed of price and easy profit, the good thing about Ethereum is when it comes to transactions it is much faster than bitcoin. and also the price of ETH is also still cheap and ETH works with some very good ICO and makes you rich.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are good coins with great potential in the future, if I am asked to choose one of both, I prefer Bitcoin for my investment, because the BTC price is now better than ETH.
Many people out there don´t believe that Ethereum can be a long term hodling, they simply use it participate in ICOs, sell and buy bitcoin again with the profit. Do you think that may change this year and ethereum can be seen as the choice to hodl?
Ethereum and bitcoin are both profitable and they should not be compared to each other, traders should invest depending on how much capital they have because the market is volatile and you will still not be able to determine on when you will be getting your profit.
Everyone will prefer bitcoin if we need to choose.Having a high price is very important. Fraction of investment on bitcoin will.give you enough fortune and bitcoin already become the foundation.
I really do not know why people even ask which to invest anyway. The main rule of investment in any form is to diversify so as to at least spread all the risk and no one will even want to put all their eggs in just a single basket anyway. I am holding both of these even though I am holding mostly in bitcoin, and I have always traded my alts at their peaks since most of the time, they always get so beaten than you can imagine once there is a pull effect from bitcoin.Diversifying even suggest not to go for big percentage into one single opportunity, I am preferring to go with bitcoin with major shares as I am very much confident about the returns of bitcoins compared to ethereum or any other crypto.

Ethereum is a coin to hold and expect good return on investment no doubt because i happen to be the benefactor of holding ethereum since when its value was below $250 and as at late last year when its value appreciated above $1000 i sold some of my holding and am currently doing the same thing at the moment. 
Definately, ethereum is the best option in holding coins for investment whether by trading like buy low sell high which can be gaurantee as much profitable earnings strategy in cryptocurrency as of this time.
I think it's obvious that investing in ethereum is much more profitable. Although of course besides the ether there are cool projects that are starting to take off.
I always think positive about bitcoin and ethereum, because I also invest in those two coins for the long term. in my opinion, this year the price of these two coins will rise high and maybe exceed last year. the right choice for ethereum by holding or adding it while the price is still cheap. just calm down, the end of this year maybe the price of ethereum and bitcoin will rise high.
Yes that is right both are good for investment, both have the potential to increase in their price very soon, therefore i think investment in bitcoin as well as in Etherium can be profitable. To me i have invested a good amount of money in bitcoin as well as i am also trading some Etherium because etherium is also good for investment and is really a very safe investment.

I recognize that Ethereum is an option to hold, as there are currently many Ethereal-based development projects and investors have to use Ethereum to invest in ICOs. This helps to increase its value steadily, so it is an excellent option for holding. I only invest in ETH, firstly because they are the most potential coin now, they are widely available. And a coin with advanced blockchain technology. We can say that BTC is higher than ETH but in the long term ETH will probably dominate the market. I recommend investing in ETH.
I'm holding both of coins as of now because these two are the best coins in the market but like what have you said ethereum has more advanced blockchain and a better system so holding some of it will definitely a good move in the future. While bitcoin is struggling right now and just starting to gain its price again the best move to do is to starting learning the trading industry so that your income will not stuck because of waiting for bitcoin or ethereum to rise again. Try to explore more things and find ways to earn without involving to illegal activities.
I believe that ethereum is still undervalued. As for bitcoin, on the contrary, it is too overrated. Once upon a time, these figures should be balanced and correlated.
It was an old age when there was more than one currency that people were using, at that time bitcoin was not that famous so people were a little confused but now they know bitcoin is very strong currency which is unbeatable and will never stop increasing, for me bitcoin is safer bitcoin is stronger than any other currency including Ethereum, so my one and only choice will be bitcoin. I will never compromise with my love for bitcoin. 
Individuals like that they had been demonstrated wrong particularly since a year ago, what happens is that those that are holding for the long haul would prefer not to go out on a limb so why hold the second coin in the market top when they can purchase and hold bitcoin the main coin in the market top, that is the reason you see there isn't such huge numbers of individuals holding ethereum for the long haul as individuals holding bitcoin.

Ethereum is a good choice of investment if you dont have the good capital for ethereum. I agree that people sometimes overlook the value and usage of ethereum. Ethereum has a good reputation and a great alternative for investment.
