The Capitals come off a rare loss at home losing to the Flyers yesterday so they get a chance at rapid revenge. The Capitals are still fighting for top spot in the division and now trail the Penguins by 2 points. Not to mention the surging Bruins are just 2 points now behind the Capitals for 2nd place and within 4 points of the division. The Flyers have not been able to string together back to back wins all season and I don't think it happens here today either. If the Capitals can win in regulation today and their last game vs Boston they can clinch the division and home ice advantage. I think they come out firing here today and grab a big win at home. Flyers are 0-6 in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest. Flyers are 8-20 in their last 28 games following a win. Capitals are 21-6 in their last 27 games as a favorite.

The Cubs can’t decide if they want to be any good or not. But right now they are healthy and they are hitting and I think that they are doing good things. They won the first game of this series to make it four in a row and they have a chance to get above .500 in this one. Trevor Williams is on the mound and he is a trash pile. However, he spent his first five years with the Pirates. He should be motivated to have a big outing against his old team. Especially because he’s matched up with one of the young losers that they replaced him with. Wil Crowe has made five starts in his career. He’s allowed 18 runs in 18 innings of work and he shouldn’t be pitching in the Majors right now. I think the Cubs are in a little groove. I think Williams will be at his best, such as it was, and I think the Cubs will find a way to win in this game.

As per this selection, this match is simply a dress rehearsal for the Champions League Final game, which is set to be played on May 29th in Istanbul. We think the Blues will want to show the Citizens they are ready for them and not afraid of the challenge that lies ahead in late March. Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel has preached defensive intensity to his squad ever since he took over January 26th, and as a result they have allowed one or fewer goals in their last ten matches, with seven cleansheets, including a 1-0 win over this very Manchester City team in the English FA Cup. The Blues would really like to keep a top-four spot here, especially since Leicester is struggling lately. Both teams come in without their stars and battling injuries. The only difference is how both teams have played since the injuries. I like how this Nuggets team has come together since Murray went down winning 10 of 12. This is a Nuggets team that comes off beating the red hot Knicks, not to mention beating the Clippers, Raptors, Portland, and Grizzlies in their last 10 games. These two teams faced each other at the beginning of the season splitting both games. Both teams come in with motivation for seeding in the standings as the Nuggets are just a half game behind the Clippers and the Jazz are fighting the Suns to keep to keep top spot. So I think this will be a tight close game with a playoff feel to it. The Jazz have not been the same team since their big run in the first half. This is a team that lost to the T-Wolves back to back, lost to the Raptors and Suns, and seem to struggle vs elite teams. I will gladly back Jokic and the Nuggets here as a road dog as they are simply playing great team basketball despite the injuries. With over 70% of the public on the Jazz this makes for a great public fade as well. Put it all together and we like the Nuggets to hang tough here today. Nuggets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Jazz are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600.

This was supposed to be a home coming of sorts for Springer, however that will not be the case here today as he finds himself back on the DL. Has to be frustrating for the Jays given the term and money they committed to him. The Jays are banged up right now and are likely without their top reliever David Phelps for a while as well. The Jays come in off a series win vs the A's but I think they struggle here today. The Jays send Stripling to the mound today who has struggled this season. He comes in with a 6.39 ERA on the season and is making his 4th start. Opponents are batting .327 against him and on the road opponents are batting .412, along with a 8.10 ERA on the road. Righties are crushing him right now batting .465, along with a .718 slugging %, and a 1.183 OPS. I look for his struggles to continue as they face a Astros team that comes off avoiding a sweep of the Yankees and defeating Gerrit Cole. Baker was quoted saying he is looking forward to getting home and getting on a nice run. The Astros send Urquidy to the mound today who comes off his best start of the season. He has faced some elite competition so far in his starts beating the Rays last time out and has faced the A's twice this year as well. In 6 starts this year he has only 8 walks and opponents are batting just .240 against him. Astros rank tied for #3 in batting average in the league hitting .254. I look for their offense to thrive vs Stripling and taking the first game of the series. Blue Jays are 5-12 in their last 17 games as a road underdog. Astros are 7-1 in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning record.

The Ducks are in for a let down here after their shootout win vs the Blues in their last game. They have the 30th ranked offense in the league averaging just 2.19 goals per game, and rank #23 in defense allowing 3.13 goals per game. They go up against a Wild team that have been lights out at home with just 5 regulation losses at home. They come off a 3-2 OT loss last game vs Vegas. I expect them to be hungry here as they are fighting for top spot in the West, just 5 points back of Vegas. I think the Wild are eager to bounce back here and will not take the Ducks likely. I expect a big win at home, hence they cover the puckline. Wild are 9-3 in their last 12 overall.

Leicester City will look to strengthen their grip on third place as they take on Newcastle United on Friday. The Foxes can tie a spot in the Champions League if they emerge victorious over the Magpies. Newcastle United have seen 8 of their last 11 matches net 1 or fewer goals. The Foxes vs Magpies at King Power Stadium have been extremely low scoring over the last twenty years with seven of the last ten matches producing under three goals. We think Leicester has a shot at a clean sheet here, and we like them to win the match. However, we will side with under 3 goals here as we think it is a low scoring affair.

This is the lowest total on the board and I think it is low for a reason. There are a few things going on here. The Lakers come in trying to avoid a season sweep by their rivals and they are without James and Schroeder. Do you not think they get up for this game? I think they do but in order to keep this close and try to win they are going to have to have max effort on defense. The Clippers on the flip side have been an under machine lately despite having lost 3 of their last 4. Some question their desire or effort in the last lag of the season knowing they have a playoff spot locked up. What they have been doing is playing outstanding defense. This is a team that held the Raptors to 100 points, Denver to 110 points, Memphis to 105 points to name a few. They are on a 9-1 under run their last 10 games. Not to mention if the season ended today this would be a first round matchup, so we could see a playoff feel game. Being the last game on the board it is a great public fade. I think both teams step up on defense, hence this one likely goes under. Under is 16-4-1 in Lakers last 21 vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Under is 11-3-1 in the last 15 meetings in Los Angeles.

As per this selection, I love this spot for the Brewers today. I'm a big fan of Brandon Woodruff. He comes in with a 1.80 ERA and a 0.80 WHIP. He has a 2-0 record, however Milwaukee has won 5 of the 6 games he has started, so he keeps his team in the game. The Brewers are looking to avoid a 4 game sweep here, in all three prior games Mon-Wed, the Brewers have lost all three by one run!! If that isn't motivation we don't know what is!! Zack Wheeler starts for Philadelphia, and his numbers are decent this year, however as opposed to Woodruff, the Phillies are 2-4 in Wheeler's starts despite his 2-2 record, so he doesn't exactly put his team in the best situation to win such as Woodruff. The Brewers were down early in both games due to one big inning, but fought their way back each game making them one run games. I think today it's the Brewers that avoid the sweep and grab a big win. Let's roll with Milwaukee today. Brewers are 8-3 in their last 11 games following a loss.

As per this selection, Arsenal comes into this game with a minimum deficit to overturn, following their 2-1 defeat to Villareal in the first leg. The good news for the Gunners is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Martin Odegaard will both be in the starting eleven for Arsenal. Their presence helped lift the Gunners to a 2-0 victory vs Newcastle United on Sunday. Aubameyang had a goal and assist in the match. Arsenal has conceded at least one goal in each of their nine home matches in all competitions. The Gunners did score a road goal last week vs Villareal, so they look to possibly keep a cleansheet and score 2 or more themselves. However, we do not see Villareal shut down here, as they have not been held to nil since February 28th vs Athletico Madrid. They just put two in the back of the net last week vs this Arsenal team, and they know if they can outscore them again, they will emerge victorious. Arsenal has been inconsistent, however with Auba back, we think they find the net a minimum of two times here as they will be desperate for goals, as well as will The Yellow Submarine. Take the over.

The Jets now find themselves in a tie with the Canadiens with 57 points due to their 7 game losing streak. What has been the worst part of this losing streak is they have not been able to score and they are in need of a bust out offensively. They have score just 10 goals during the last 7 games and need to find their game. Both teams come off losses, and both teams managed to score just 1 goal in their last game. I think Calgary will get up to face the Jets as well. Put it all together and we like the over in this one. Over is 9-3-2 in Jets last 14 games as a road underdog. Over is 9-4-1 in Flames last 14 following a loss of 3 or more goals.

This is a roll they have been quite successful in this year as they are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games as a road underdog and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 road games. The Spurs just lost by 11 to Jazz on Monday, and lost by 21 to them when Mitchell was playing on Jan 3rd, they have big revenge, and will have motivation to put up a fight. The are Spurs fighting to stay in the play-in tourney and Murray provided a spark Monday and should do so again here. The issue the last game for the Spurs was the slow start, as they did make a run at the Jazz in the second half which is something to build off of for this game. This has not been the same Jazz team we saw in the first half and has not been the same Jazz team at home as the first half of the season. Since Mitchell has gone down with injury the Jazz have been very inconsistent and are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite. The Jazz have Denver on deck so they are likely looking ahead here and don't care to much to blow out the Spurs for a second time. The Spurs sit in the 10th and final playin spot with the Pelicans just 2 games behind. I think we see a big effort here from the Spurs and they cover the number on the road. Spurs 21-9 ATS on the road.

Freddy Peralta has been a pleasant surprise to the already stacked Milwaukee Brewers pitching staff. He comes in at 3-0, with a 2.25 ERA, and 1.00 WHIP. Another interesting stat with Peralta is in the six games he has started, whether or not he got the decision, Milwaukee is 5-1 in those games. So he consistently gives his team a great shot to win. Also worth noting he comes in off an impressive game vs the Dodgers, even though the Dodgers have not been hitting great lately. Chase Anderson comes in with a 5.40 ERA and 1.4 WHIP. He also has a 6.55 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in his career vs the Brewers. Milwaukee is 7-2 in their last 9 games vs a right-handed starter. The Phillies are 3-8 in their last 11 games as an underdog. Last week these two teams played to a 1-1 draw at Alfredo Di Stefano in Madrid. We see the same type of low scoring game here. Real was only able to register one shot on goal vs Chelsea’s stifling defense, a sign that Chelsea could keep a cleansheet tomorrow. N’Golo Kante will continue to attack and create opportunities for the Blues. We see this as a slow paced first half, with both teams trying not to make mistakes defensively, and opening up in the second half with Chelsea getting one more goal in the net than Los Blancos. Thomas Tuchel has a well-balanced approach, and he should be able to manage his way to the Championship game for the second year in a row. Take Chelsea to advance.

The public loves Shohei Ohtani. We get it. This is exactly why the Angels are the trendy dog today, however the Rays are favored and we agree. Shohei cannot stop walking batters. He has walked on average one batter per inning so far this year. He has not pitched past five innings yet either, and the Angels bullpen, while not terrible, is not as good as the Rays. Glasnow has been lights out this year with a 1.67 ERA and 0.8 WHIP. There is a reason that Tampa opened as an underdog at +100...and now they are a -120 favorite. It's because the public loves Shohei, and the sharps love Glasnow. Tampa is a much better team than their record reflects, and there is absolutely zero doubt who the better pitcher is here. Glasnow has allowed one run or less in 5 of his last 6 starts, and in his career vs the Angels he holds a 0-0 record with a 1.50 ERA. We will roll with the Rays tonight. Rays are 5-1 in their last 6 road games.

If you are the Grizzlies, you have to be ticked as they come off a buzzer beater loss to the Magic, also a game that saw them blow a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter. Perhaps they got a bit lazy and looking ahead to this game against the Knicks. This is also a revenge game here for the Grizzlies as they lost April 9th in New York 133-129 in OT. They had the game tied at 114-114 and Morant missed shot at the buzzer to end it, so he is likely motivated here as well. Its hard to go against the Knicks as good as they have been playing, which is why the public is on the trendy dog as they have been with the Knicks as of late. The Knicks come off beating up on the Rockets but now head into a tough part of their road trip, facing all playoff bound teams. The Knicks has clinched a spot in the playoffs, but the Grizzlies are fighting for their lives sitting in 8th spot. They have the Warriors and Spurs right on their heels and they need a big win after blowing it against the Magic. Put it all together and we like the Grizzlies at home to get it done. Grizzlies are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games as a home favorite. Knicks are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Memphis.

If you are Vegas, I think they have had this game circled for a while now as they have lost 4 straight to the Wild and were swept in their own building back at the beginning of April. Vegas sits at the top of the division with a 4 point lead over Colorado and a 6 point lead over the Wild. A win here for Vegas could very well be the dagger needed to seal up 1st in the division. Both teams come in red hot, but the Wild have not been as sharp lately. They lost back to back games at home to the Blues, blowing a lead in the first game, to finally pull one off in OT. When you look at both these teams, Vegas has more depth up front and the edge in goal no matter who starts. Vegas leads the league with the best goals against and simply have more game breakers in a close game to get it done. Put it all together we like Vegas to get some revenge here and grab a big win on the road. Golden Knights are 6-1 in their last 7 games as a road favorite.

Both teams can put the ball in net here. Burnley have been better away from home this year than on their own pitch, and five of their last games have produced more than 2.5 goals. Four of West Ham’s last five games have gone over 2.5 goals as well. The Hammers have a lot of injury concerns as well, which will leave them vulnerable defensively on the back end here. Jesse Lingard was doubtful leading up to the Chelsea game, and the Manchester United loanee looks as if he will play, which is great for West Ham as he has been in fantastic form. We think this will be an exciting game and plenty of action on the pitch Monday. Take the over.

I roll with the Spurs as the home dog to hang tough today. The Spurs come off an epic 32 point collapse against Boston in their last game. This cannot sit well with the team or Popovich. The Spurs need to keep winning to continue their spot for the play in game as they currently sit in 9th. They Spurs have been playing some of their best basketball of the season in recent weeks as they beat a red hot Wizards team, beat the Suns outright as dogs, and beat the Pelicans. I think they are catching the Sixers at the right time as they come off three blowout wins in a row, could have a letdown here. The Spurs also come in with big revenge after losing to 76ers 134-99 in March. Lets also not forget this is a Sixers team that does not play as well on the road as they do at home. Great public fade to boot. Put it all together and we like the Spurs at home to hang tough and keep this one close. 76ers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up win.
