Lost BTC0.01 after betting for Argentina. After watching so many upsets, I thought that there was a real chance of a win by the Latin Americans. But what we got in the end was a completely lop sided match. Anyway congrats to Spain, who performed amazingly to win the tournament. Apart from Gabriel Deck, the other Argentine players were unable to match the Spaniards.
Until now I still don't believe that Spain has defeated Argentina,
This year's FIBA World Cup is truly beyond all predictions,
sorry for your loss and also my loss too Cheesy
btw, Spain really makes Scola helpless  Cheesy

I expected more interesting final, but Spain had almost perfect game today. Their defence was great and they stopped leaders of Argentina Campazzo and Scola. But on the other hand, Argentina missed many open three- pointers. Congrats to Spain, they really deserved to win this trophy. And I'm already waiting for Olympics next year.
And speaking about 3rd place game - Australia choked again, same like in semifinal when they had game in their hands.

The Spaniards have won the Championship 95-75.
Their last victory was on 2006 and now they bring home the bacon once again Smiley. Very good performance from them, they continue to grind until the very end despite of having a double digit lead. Such kind of attitude only shows us that they really got a high quality of basketball — not careless, just pure hustle! Congrats to Spain.

Anyway, let's not forget to appreciate and give props to Argentina for giving us a wonderful match. Though they just end up as 2nd placer, it is not bad at all to be honest. No doubt their fellow countrymen are still proud of them. Hmm, maybe today is not their day but for sure they'll come back stronger and wiser on next FIBA championship Cheesy

Congrats to Spain and Rubio for winning the tournament MVP.

I certainly did not expect the score, I thought it would be closer than that. Anyone who made money on this finals match?

They really shut down Scola
They really did. Scola was also cold from outside. Good for him being chosen as one of the starting five of the tournament.

The Spaniards have won the Championship 95-75.

They really shut down Scola and the defense of the Spain really give them the victory. Around 5+ blocks and around 5+ steals. They led from the start of the game with an early 12 pt. lead and starting from that, the Argentinians didn't came near anymore. I lost my bet but that is ok Cheesy.

Spain putting up a clinic. Making defensive stops and converting on almost all possessions. This is a bad match up for Argentina especially for Scola.

I think there's no problem with their speed because they can do fast breaks and could actually catch up to Spain as well.
Compared to Spain, the Argentina team cannot make a good stop. It either ends up in a foul or a bucket.

Hooh! End of first half, Spain lead (43 -31).
Spain starting off good today leading by double digits in the first half.
Argentina has to tighten up their defense, they can't keep up with Spain's fast ball movement.
I think there's no problem with their speed because they can do fast breaks and could actually catch up to Spain as well. The main problem they need to resolve here is the rebounding because Spain's offensive rebound became pretty obvious. Scola is also not effective at this moment, I guess he is struggling.

But the good side for Argentina is the foul trouble of their opponent. Ribas and Rubio both got 3 fouls which is good because they can take advantage of it. They should definitely exert more pressure to those players

43-31, end of 1st half, Scola is a big missing factor here, it's still the same Argentina that we are seeing but the Spain are taking advantage of their height. Anyone who likes the Argentina to win, it's the best time to take them in live betting as they are @5.70 ml in my sportsbook .

Good to the 2nd half, hopefully Argentina will be able to make a rally and will bring this game into OT so the excitement will prolong.

Campazzo and Scola has to keep doing in the 2nd half, this is the last game, they have to give everything they have if they want to win.

I don't think teams care too much to finish 3rd or 4th.
Maybe so. It's not as important as playing for 1st or 2nd of course but teams would still play to win for their country and their fans who traveled just to see them.

That's the problem of Australia, they are only good in first half but they easily give up in the 2nd half, same scenario with their game against the Spain where they look dictating the game until the Spain rally and took the game in double OT and win the game with a decent margin.
You know what? You're right! It seems Australia can't maintain their performance (IMO). Indeed, today's game is not so different in their match with Spain. I don't know the reason for this but I think this is not just a simple coincidence, there is something wrong with them. Maybe because of fatigue? Or overconfidence which leads them to relax during 2nd half, hmm? Congratulations to them, they also did a great job nonetheless Smiley.

France just took the bronze beating Australia with a second-half comeback. I'm sure both teams would have preferred to play for gold considering favorites being out early, the competition was wide open. You could see the disappointment in the eyes of the Aussies...that double OT loss in the semis was heartbreaking.

Congratulations to France. They did an amazing game and they managed to make the comeback.
Australia played well in the first half and I was really impressed by their defense. The 4th position for them is a great achievement and they should cheer for it.

It's time for the finals now, it will start in 30 minutes so basketball fans will surely watch this as it's gonna be an entertaining match.
I like to suggest to have a poll here, but it seems late already if OP would make it. lol.

So, today champions of World Cup will be crowned. What are your thought about final?
I can't belittle on how strong Argentina is but Spain can't also be ignored.

Both teams are great and they were able to make it to the finals, I think the toughest will take the crown. Spain would be my guess.

Argentina seems to be very consistent with the way they are playing, we cannot take from them that they are really preparing for this win.
With the odds of Argentina at 2.48, I think that is so attractive, and although Spain is really a strong team due to their NBA players but the Argentina has really played like a good team, all of them are a threat in the floor.

They are fast, they move the ball well, and Scola is having some great confidence and I think even Gasol can't stop him, if they will stay aggressive like the way they have been playing.
Scola sure is an aggressive and impressive player and that can be removed to him. Well, we just have to watch this game as there's only one hour left before this game commence.

I'm waiting for the highlights of this game, sure this will be the most talked for this week.

Lucky I bet for France. I thought that they will lose in that game but the Aussies got cold in the second half and the France heat up especially in threes. I can see the disappointment in the faces of the players of Australia because they thought that they got the win already but they didn't.

Lets watch the Finals. I bet for Argentina in money line Cheesy

Spain depends a lot on Marc Gasol and if the Argentine players are good in tackling him, then the latter will be having a chance. In case Spain wins the title (which looks very likely), then Gasol will be one of the handful of the players to have an NBA title and a gold medal against his name in the same year. The other Gasol (Pau) is not available due to injury, but it is not very difficult for Spain to replace him.

The advantage with Argentina is that they are not too overly dependent on any single individual. The presence of 39-year old Luis Scola (part of the national side since 1999) has helped immensely to build team bonding and cohesion. The players to watch out for among the Argentines are Facundo Campazzo and Marcos Delía (along with the veteran Scola).

I see that Luis Scola is determined to get the title today.
I'm going to root for Argentina as they are a good team all these years and still didn't make it get a title. I wish Ginobili was in the squad as well and get this title along with Scola.

So, today champions of World Cup will be crowned. What are your thought about final?

This final today is a rematch of the FIBA 2006 finals where on paper, Argentina has the edge and it's no brainer to think so because Pau Gasol is injured in the semis and can't play in the finals and he is the main man of the Spanish Squad but the result of the game is opposite to what many have expected, Spain dominated and dumped Argentina on that game. Argentina should have remember that moment and make that a motivation on this game today.

I am betting for Argentina (already had) as for me nobody has the edge. This might be a close game so i am putting some amount on the +5.5 handicap just in case. Good luck to us.

There were so many upset results in this tournament so far and it will be a great end to the tournament if there is another upset in the finals as well. None of the gambling sites are having odds in favor of Argentina, but their predictions were proved wrong many times. Both the teams are in great form, but Argentina has shown better team bonding and resilience so far.
Just watch lines for both matches and look like these are hype rates as Argentina is not bad as they are showing they can give very tough time to Spain and France is also favorite but with some decent rate which is OK for me today we are going to watch very good and interesting final which can go either way as both teams have very talented players and both are hungry for win in this final.
