I did not know KAT was Dominican, I thought he was American, interesting, I also did not expected to see Jordan Clarkson too, turns out he was from Philippines as well, I thought he was American too, so many players I thought to be American and turns out not from there and from another nation.
I think it was definitely a good close game, and losses happens it is not really a big deal to lose this game and I think it should be important to realize that we are not going to get that much of a big deal out of this, World Cup should be something to care about but unfortunately USA doesn't seem to care all that much, look at their roster, they do not bring in the best players, so lets see when they will lose out, because I bet that this team can't win it all.
Bookies though are favoring USA to win overall on this event. So even if they are not bringing their best, they are the first choice to win.
Followed by Canada, Slovenia, Australia, France and Spain. Seems they are the favorite teams to top on this world cup.
Clarkson represents Philippines because he is a Fil-Am, and he decides to represent PH on this event and so with KAT, a Dominican-American.
In terms of betting, it would be easier to bet on a per group basis. And then once the group event finishes, that's when you will better see the chances of those teams left.
But if bettors are seeing the advantage of betting early, then, that's their choice because the odds are attractive right now.
Pre tournament betting looked a little different than what you are writing here. Canada had the 5th lowest odds, they were far from being favourites. And that was before Jamal Murray announced he won't play, same for Wiggins.
I got a 14:1 odds for Canada at that time, but I only bet 20euro, just for fun. Of course I also bet on 40:1 for Germany.

Anyway, today we finally got our first mayor upset of the tournament with Japan beating Finland. I have learned that this was the first time ever Japan beat a European team in an official game.
And they way this game played out was crazy. Finland was up by 15/16 points with 12 minutes to play, needless to say they have been an around 12 point favourite to win.
And they Japan came back and won by 10, what an amazing comeback.
Who would have thought that of the both hosts Japan would be the team that still has a slight chance to advance, they have their face in their own hands, but beating Australia of course is a tough task.
Unfortunately PH lost and is mathematically not out yet, but to advance they need a minor miracle.
