No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
Thanks, @AbuBhakar! Now I can watch the Philippines vs. Dominican Republic match without interruption. I'm betting on this particular game, so I have to watch it. Additionally, I'm looking forward to seeing how the crowd will react during the game, as they are a significant factor for the Philippines to potentially cause a major upset against the powerhouse team led by Karl-Anthony Towns.

Meanwhile, Angola vs Italy is playing already, Angola had a strong start but Italy was able to take the lead now.

It's still a close game though so this is fun.  Smiley

but let's find out later on as the first game will start in 30 minutes from now. I'm referring to Angola vs Italy.
This game might not be particularly interesting to watch, but it's the first game of the tournament, so there will probably still be a lot of people tuning in. I checked the betting sites, and Italy is the heavy favorite. Here are the odds and the spread:

Italy (no betting odds)
Angola (x28)

The spread is currently -21.5.

I just saw a $37 subscription fee annually, I'm not sure though if this is a legit rate.
Though it says there that you can actually subscribe for free and get free updates, though its not live but still you just have to sign up on their site. I'm not trying this one since our national television with have its live telecast, we're lucky for this.
That's cheap for a year subscription especially if you also have access with NBA since FIBA is not every year.
We are already stuck in traffic due to the volume of the viewers from two different Arena today, I'm happy to see the support to the team and to the players. I'm placing my bet now, hopefully to get a better odds and a win of course.
The price is reasonable enough, but if we can find free streaming on the internet, we might as well not pay for the subscription. I'm currently looking at a site now that I believe will stream for free, but let's find out later on as the first game will start in 30 minutes from now. I'm referring to Angola vs Italy.

Yeah, Courtside 1891 is official streaming of tournament. It works well, but it's not cheap. Don't remember exact price, but there you will get all games in high quality and English commentary. You also can check on Wiki local TV braodcasters for each country

I can't find the price range for the subscription fee on the site you recommended. Maybe it's necessary to sign up first before we can see the prices. Anyway, if that's expensive, then I guess I would just rely on free streams. I think there are plenty out there, right? Has anyone here been able to watch free streams during the last FIBA World Cup?

I have a question: Does anyone here know if there's a site that will stream all the games? Or is there a subscription similar to the NBA League Pass, so we can easily watch the games we'd like to see?
I'll check it tomorrow on the actual FB page of the Fiba World Cup. But don't you worry, just do a simple search tomorrow and you'll see a lot of streamers that will cover the matches.
You just have to be more patient though on watching those live streamers as they may get restricted too.
Online subscription might be one of the option and there's a thing called "Courtside 1891", I'm not sure though on how this thing works and if this is their official site to watch live.
Yes, they may get reported or whatnot. I don't know about the courtside but will check it out.

The host country might also have their live streaming on their social media page, you might also want to search for it.
I am sure that there will be a live telecast on national TV so instead of going through the livestreams. That's what I'll try to check later on because we're just a few hours away before the games are about to start. I'm starting to see the build-up of the traffic near the value and people who are going to watch the live games are already flocking in there.

In terms of Australia and Finland someone said the same thing yesterday I just don't see it.  Australia is a lot stronger team by far.  What makes everyone think Finland can win here?  Something I'm missing?
Not sayingthat Finland will win, but I expect good fight. I watched few friendly games of Finland and they left me good impression. Only last game where they got destroyed by Latvia goes out of context. Besides Markkanen they don't have big names, but their role players are doing their tasks quite good.

I haven't heard about that but it's better to check that tomorrow to see if they will cover it tomorrow especially on the basketball that we're tuning in.

Italy - Angola and Dominican Republic - Philippines doesn't sounds very exciting, but I will take a look into it just because it's interesting how basketball looks played in huge arena with 55 00 capacity.
As a host country, we can already feel the excitement and the hype of FIBA, seriously we might not have the chance to win against the power house team but still there's a chance since there is the advantage of being the country host. Few more hours before the start of the first game in my country, some places already declared this as holiday due to expected high volume of traffic and viewers. I'm betting on the Philippines here, hoping for a successful campaign for the FIBA teams.

So, World Cup finally begins tomorrow! I'm not that hyped before this year tournament, mainly because my national team - Lithuania don't have big ambitions. It's godd that we have easy start with Egypt and Mexico.
Main game tomorrow is Canada - France. My money is on France. IMO, Canada get hyped too much like before every tournament and they haven't achieved anything.
Australia - Finland sounds interesting. I expect close game and Finlands is capable to make an upset.

I tend to agree with you on the france game.  Canada is gonna be tough but that is one of the better games to watch.  In terms of Australia and Finland someone said the same thing yesterday I just don't see it.  Australia is a lot stronger team by far.  What makes everyone think Finland can win here?  Something I'm missing?

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
And if Australia has a lot of NBA players, then yeah, I would agree to what @wheelz1200, maybe they could land on a good spot in this tournament. But obviously, US team will be favorite here, but it will not be easy for them to just steam roll others teams even if they are composed of NBA players.
Basketball has already been evolving. While the NBA is the most popular league in the world, we cannot guarantee that it has the best players. This tournament will be a testament to determine which country truly has the best players. Even though Team USA is the heavy favorite, we wouldn't be surprised if they win. However, I still believe that there will be surprises, and the USA might not even reach the Finals.
NBA is the most prominent league not because they are popular but rather most skilled player all over the world wants to be on NBA as their target league for there career. I think you mean USA since NBA doesn't represent USA alone. Most of the All Star on NBA now came from different country which is why other country is now much stronger compared before when only few NBA star represent their country. Most of the favorite country aside from USA contains star player from NBA like Canada and France.

Competition on FIBA is tougher now for USA since other country is already have NBA star players that represent their own home country. Team USA will have a hard time dominating the world cup with their current young line-up.
Well, they aren't the depending champions and that alone is the testament that it's a tough environment for USA Basketball and with that roster I guess it wasn't the best roster they deploy for the World Cup. I think Serbia, Greece, Slovenia, and Spain are favorites here as well since they are likely the dark horses in this competition.

With the kind of competition and with the representative team US send to this tournament, chances to secure the title can't be
conclude, like you, I won't be surprised if team US won't win the title.

There are teams who really have a good chemistry, National teams who played together for quite some time and unlike with team US
who only start the practices months ago before FIBA.,

We will know who's going to excel and win the title. Good luck to every bettor who will go to place their bets.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will be opening tomorrow. You can check the schedules on the link provided below:

https://www.fiba.basketball/basketballworldcup/2023/games

Arenaplus(local casino) offers live game broadcast on matches as official partner of Fiba in PH. I’m not sure on other games in other country but you can check your local cable provider for a pay per view subscription since our local cable channel offer this kind of subscription.

I place a bet for Philippines as support for tomorrow’s game against Dominican Republic, I knew that KAT is playing with the opponent team tomorrow but I have high hopes that PH will manage to secure him down since we have many pesky players who can defend annoyingly against KAT.

I’m also tempted on 4.0 odds.  Anyone here with me with this suicide bet?
Seen the odds for one of host nations and it does look one sided.
Don't know if the odds have risen but they were @5.70x for the Philippines to win against the Dominican Republic when I checked them earlier today.
You can see them here before the matches begin:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/international/fiba-world-championship/matches
Atleast their game is around the same time tomorrow for me to catch it.

I’m using a local sportsbook to place bet for fiat currency. I’m holding right now all my crypto due to the current dip and decided to spend my fiat money on my wallet apps that support the local casino that I’m using to place bet.

Having a low odds is one characteristic of local casino here because they monopolize PH customer due to weak competition. That 1.0 additional odds on sportsbet is really good but I’m not expecting big that my bet will win. This is just a support bet on my side to enjoy watching the game tomorrow.

I am more than ready.
Also successfully sold my tickets for Germany vs Japan game in Okinawa cause we can't make it on time there.

I checked for a sports bar to watch it but they all seem a little sketchy and tourist oriented here, unfortunately.
Would have been funny to be most likely the only German supports there.  Grin
So we will enjoy the game on Japanese TV, I strongly expect it to be televised.

If not, there is still the German stream.

Anyway, finally the time has come. Other than France vs Canada there are no even games tomorrow, it's all big favourite versus underdog. Are we seeing any upsets? For tomorrow, that's gonna be tough I think.

There are no more friendlies left man, the world cup starts in 2 days.  Grin
Yay! Sorry, I was looking at the friendly games schedule at their website and I can see yesterday that 2 or 3 games have no scores yet.  Grin Thank you though for the information.

Had recently found out basketball is biggest sport to the country of the Philippines so hosting something like this is very important and the article linked from @Baofeng goes to show it to be true.
If the government can suspend work and schools for the metro area in Manila making it basically a national holiday says it all.
Didn't realize Jordan Clarkson was representing the Philippines. Joining Kai Sotto as ambassadors of the country for the NBA players association. Very nice!
It is true. It's either basketball, boxing, or billiards. Cheesy

Anyway, are you guys ready?
Tomorrow, at 4 PM GMT+8 Finland and Australia will start the FIBA World Cup tip-off. Rush hour times, I hope we can find some time to watch these games live.
8 games are listed to start the day. I think I want to see the most is the battle of Canada versus France. Both teams have lots of NBA players in their roster so it might become a highly competitive game.

Oh, and I will be eyeing Montenegro too. Those guys surprised me when they reached Round 16 during the EuroBasket 2022 and lost to Germany by just 6 points. In their bracket (Group D) the favorite is Lithuania, I think it's also going to be a hardcore close game.
Tomorrow, they will play against Mexico so I want to see if that strength they showed in EuroBasket is still intact.

To all who will make a bet, good luck guys.
