The Spanish president Luis Rabiales have defended himself against critics on social media saying he's wrong for kissing Jenni Hermoso on the lip, live on TV during Spain's Women's World Cup trophy celebrations, according to the news it is said that he's hit back with a defense and also trying to set things right and saying those taking the incident too seriously are idiots.
Most of the viewers where furious and claimed that what he did was inappropriate to put his hand on the 33 years old attacker before kissing her on the lips and his response to Radio Marca was, "The kiss with Jenni? There are idiots everywhere. When two people have an insignificant show of affection, we cannot pay attention to idiocy. We are champions, and with that, I stay."
Well I think a lot of viewers are not going to be pleased about that statem ent and there would be questions in the air over whether there's been a previous secret affair between both involved ìn the act, well left for me i think he got carried away by their victory but calling viewers idiots is not professional.
Well, this kiss thing has escalated recently, as FIFA just opened an investigation about it:
FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee will investigate whether Spanish soccer federation president Luis Rubiales violated its disciplinary code.
Personally, I don't know what the big deal is. People from Spain are known to be a very "touchy" culture, and I don't think Jenni Hermoso in particular felt bad in any way, it's just external people reacting to the Spanish culture.
This is what Jenni said about it:
"The ‘presi’ and I have a great relationship, his behavior with all of us has always been 10 (out of 10) and this was a natural gesture of affection and gratitude," she was quoted as saying.
If the people involved in this are fine with it, there's nothing to be done really. No harm, no foul.
People love to get upset for others, even when the others are fine living their life.
They should focus on the sport, and the fact that Spain is the world champion, not on this silly nonsense. Exactly as she said:
I’m a world champion, and that’s what matters.
