I see the final match is quite balancing between Spain and England. They both created some chances and Spain just did their job better by having a winning goal. In fact, England missed some great chances to equalize the match but they did played well and only need a lucky touch to score an equalizer.

Finally Spain won the final and became the Women's World Cup champions a first time. Congratulate them as they deserve the World Cup trophy after having an amazing tournament.

Hopefully they will not let their fans wait too long like decades to win a World Cup like England Men team. The latest big title they won is World Cup 1966 at their home.

Not sure if England played badly in this final or indeed the opponent was too strong    I think overall Spain played better they deserve this title in fact they almost scored the 2nd goal by penalty unfortunately the penalty was missed. Previously I was also not sure who would come out as champions because the performance of the two teams was stable throughout the competition they beat all the opponents including the favorite team. What is clear this year Women's World Cup is experiencing a change in dominance I mean there is a new team in the final not USA and other teams. Regarding the bet I have posted it on the previous page I saw bets placed for Spain over $2,500.00 placed by one gambler and immediately the odds for Spain dropped, unfortunately I'm not interested in following it lol.

Lol I've refused to post on this thread for days now because my most preferred team to win the tournament lost the finals to Spain, i almost bet on them as well i was so sure they'll win even when i knew that Spanish Women where so dangerous and make it tough for them, thankgoodness i had a change of mind and decided not to bet on the finals, it would had been more painful watching them lose and also  knowing my stake is at risk.
 Anyways the Spanish Women deserved the trophy to be honest they were the most outstanding team since the beginning of the tournament and have been so tough in all matches at a point i enjoyed watching their game because i felt I was watching the men's football, im suprised to see Women are beginning to play good and enjoyable football, Congratulations to the Spanish Women on their victory in the FIFA Women's World Cup Final.

I'm going to make a comment about the match, I don't know if you guys agree or not, the first half was good, but in the second half the game stopped many times, and the Spanish team took forever to take free-kicks, throw-ins, goal kicks etc. It's not the kind of final the tournament deserved, because in general there were some great games, but this final left something to be desired in that respect
In fact, in both the men's and women's matches, this attitude of taking too long do to things when you're winning is very bad

England also failed to show at any point the good soccer they had been playing during the competition, it was the worst match they had played

Congrats to Spain, they really deserve the World Cup, their performance was incredible throughout the matches played. The two clubs performed well in the match. I wanted to place a bet on the match, but I decided to change my mind because I knew the match would be a very difficult one to predict. I knew the two clubs to be tough, so I knew the match wouldn’t really be an easy one. That was why I just decided not to gamble. I had little confidence in England to win, but unfortunately they lost to Spain, but they also played well. Once again, congratulations to Spain, and I am really happy for them.

That moment when final score doesn't reflect image of whole game. Spain played much better and if not England goalkeeper, they probably would had closed the game much earlier. Especially that moment when Mary Earps saved the penalty.
Very happy for Spain win. While for England it's disappointment, but after all, they're still EURO 2022 winners and winning 2 major trophies in 2 years is unbeleavable difficult task.

But yeah, there was scandal about Spanish coach Vilda. Last year some players after EURO 2022 decided to boycott national team because of coaching style and treatment of players. But Jorge Vilda refused to resign. From 15 players who suppoorted boycott, only 3 returned to national team and played in this World Cup. So, there really something wrong with coach, but after he won World Cup, it's difficult to expect that he will leave

It is nice when always something new happens and there is a new team that wins, always the same is boring. America has won 4x and was 5x in the finals. Germany won 2x with 3 games in the final. Spain, Norway and Japan each 1x world champion. The first world championship was in 1991, so there are not so many winners. Something special is that Marta is the record goal scorer with 17 goals, but has never won the Championship.

Very well deserved win. They were relentless from the first half to the last minute. They maintained top position in the game and were able to stop any attempt that England had. The Spanish players were able to maintain concentration even to the final moments of the game, which has been the time in this competition when they have been most vulnerable and conceded goals due to lack of concentration. They stayed focus and ensured that England could not score.

England's Goalkeeper is very good! Her penalty save gave England some hope that would have been able to win the game.

The Spanish women’s team performed really well in this match against the English women. In this match, they have definitely deserved to be the winners. It is also a great achievement for the Spanish woman to win the FIFA Women’s World Cup. England definitely played really rough in this match.

And I see this happening very often in women’s football. The moment they are trailing, they start getting physical with their opponent. They get frustrated a little easily in my opinion.

Anyway, congratulations to the Spanish women’s team for being the world cup winners. But I have to say that I expected a better performance from England.

The Spanish side was better in the first half and maximized their opportunities to get a goal. The Lioness would have gotten a goal first but the attempt by Hemp hit the crossbar. The English side improved greatly in the second half but even the introduction of James couldn't bring the needed result. Earl's deserved the best goalkeeper award for her great performance including saving a penalty in the game. Congratulations to the world champions Spain.

Except he has a romantic affair with Jenni Hermoso, Luis Rubiale's behavior is condemnable. This might indicate that he is using his position to take advantage of the female players. A hug or a peck on the cheek would have been ideal but a passionate mouth kiss in public to me is unacceptable. The Spanish sports ministry should investigate this behavior and sanction him accordingly.

I almost laid money on England in this one, thanking myself now for laying off.  Didn't get to watch the game but it seemed like a tight match all the way through.  Great touny for Spain and heartbreak for England.

What a fantastic match played by Spain football team. Spain captain Olga Carmona scored. Captain Olga scored the winning goal after 29 minutes. Besides, there was no goal in the final mass. England got a chance to score after 15 minutes of the match. But it misses the target. England could not break the 57-year drought. I think it is bad luck for England women team. I think England women team will try for world cap in future. Overall Both team are played well. And Again congratulations for Spain women football team.

Congratulations to Spain for winning the World Cup, on the news channels in Portuguese that I could see and it left me very shocked and I thought it was very wrong and this kind of thing should not happen in sport, I mean this:



 

Luis Rubiales, president of the Spanish Football Federation kissed the mouth of the Spanish player named Jenni Hermoso, honestly this is a very reprehensible attitude, if he does this with these players he faces the cameras so what is he doing with these players without being filmed can be scary, it's called sexual harassment and the laws are tough about it especially in sport when it involves high-ranking officials harassing women in sport. this girl probably has a boyfriend or husband or kids and how must the husband or girlfriend feel seeing these kinds of things? no doubt they must be irritated by the behavior of the president of the Spanish Football Federation

and on the news channel in portuguese that published this photo and news also talked about the coach of español and some players being in disagreements, and according to the article in portuguese some players of spain did not celebrate the goal together with their coach on the contrary they preferred to stay away from him, also even when they were celebrating for winning the world cup some spain players did not celebrate near the spain coach, according to the article some spain players criticize the coach's work methods and accuse him of harassment moral. True or not, this shows how some things need to change, coaching women's teams should be women

The final match of the Women's World Cup was a lot of fun.  But England could not prevent the goal given by Spain in the 29th minute. Due to which they lost the match 1-0. losing a match in the final is very painful. In this regard Spain is very lucky and I appreciate their victory. they played very hard and scored 1 goal in the match as well as they took the ball into the penalty area a few times but could not complete the goal.  But the fact that they have become champions is a big achievement for them.

It's worth it, they played quite well throughout this tournament and an ideal final against England, this is really a very fierce and exciting final even though Spain led in the first round and they also had the opportunity to increase their advantage in the 70th minute. but unfortunately Jennifer Hermoso missed the penalty but the British troops actually put up quite a fierce resistance.
Consistent performance and quite a slick game, they deserve to celebrate now.

Luck ain't in England side at all these years. Women national football team reached the final game at least while Men failed to do that. Spain is a good team and was expected to win by the way. The third place went to Sweden which was expected too according to bookies. I thought that Australia might do something since they are hosting this version of World Cup but this didn't occur.

I was really rooting for the Lionesses to win this one. They got the grit and tenacity. The won most of the possession and had more foul when the game was proving too tense for them.
Well, to the Victor goes the spoils, and I congratulate the Spanish women for being the winners still. Its not an easy feat to win what has not been won before. Kudos!

Spain has been the best team in this year's edition of the FIFA World Cup and deserves to be the champions of the competition. The lionesses of England who were defeated in the final game today will have to wait till next time the tournament will be played again to challenge for the title that they've never won.

Was looking forward to see how Laura James will play against Spain after that clumsy challenge that lead to her missing the 2 games leading to the finals, thought she would have had the motivation to try win it for her country as compensation for what transpired but unfortunately it was never meant to be as Spain converted the opportunity that presented itself.

It only takes the best to be victorious and in today's game Spain women has performed so well that even the England lioness couldn't beat their reach. Though England had quite a few chances to turn the game in their favour but they lacked the prowess in today's game unlike other games they had played in the tournament. I have always predicted of the spainish women having to win the WWC title 2023 right from when they qualified from the round of 16,  and it' wasn't a thing of surprise as they are now crowned the champions. Congratulations to them.
