Saudi Arabian aims for high and they want to be much better than this. Maybe this team can't have the good performance they want to see and maybe Saudi Arabia is not a good team to shine in the World Cups and even in the Asian games but they will want to invest money in their country and football to build the future for their people.
The last news about Saudi Arabia is about the 2030 World Cup. They are not officially the host of the next World Cup and in the picture below you can see the stadiums they will use to host this tournament.

It seems that it is still too early for us to discuss about the world cup that will be held in Saudi Arabia later, because it is still too far away and even we will pass the 2030 world cup to discuss it Grin, but it doesn't hurt for Saudi Arabia to show their current ambitions to host, After all, they already have enough infrastructure to hold the biggest football event, but apart from that, I think like the Qatar World Cup, the Saudi Arabian World Cup will also cause a lot of polemics and speculation from the western world, considering the Islamic law that might also be enforced later for those who attend and violate in the country.

I also want to congratulate Saudi Arabia for confirming as the host of the 2034 World Cup. It's 10 years from now but it's not a long time for a country to prepare various facilities to host the World Cup. After Qatar in 2022 I think Saudi Arabia will also make the 2034 World Cup very grand and luxurious. We know that many Middle Eastern countries emphasize the aspect of luxury. And I also hope that there will be no much drama and controversy during the World Cup. As I recall, apart from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which was full of controversy, when the 2002 World Cup was in South Korea and Japan we also saw a lot of controversy, especially South Korea which was the host at that time. And both were World Cups held in Asia.
Do not be surprised that there will always be controversies and we all have to swallow it like that because there is nothing that can be done about that. This is an opportunity of hosting the biggest sport in the world and  many countries of the world are looking for such opportunity so they can showcase there culture and what they are made up off. There will always be complaints whatsoever. We ought to enjoy the fun and forget about the stress we might have undergone especially for those people that left their countries for the world venue. Now is Saudi Arabia turn to show the world there culture and what they are made up of in a grand style.
In last three decades, we have too many controversies and problems, but all is still going on as we have nothing to bring changes powerful peoples are playing as they wanted to play, and we are here just for giving our views about these things as we have Qatar take hosting rights there were too much noise but at the end nothing happen, and they have done this all same going to happen against while we will be having three countries which are not going to host 48 countries in 2034 this could be one of the best events in recent time because we all know how Saudis are crazy about this.

But, we still need some transparency which helps things done on better level and all stakeholders able to do their work fairly Saudi culture is going to open and things could be surely interesting as world will be having first mega event in this country.

To straighten things out a bit, it's for 2034.
I'm starting to guess their direction, one of which is the breakthrough they've made lately which is bringing in a lot of star players to play in their league, I think it has something to do with this.
With them officially being appointed as the host of the 2034 World Cup, it makes me even more convinced that what they've been doing so far is their first step to being able to get host status.
I can only hope they can be good hosts and that they can successfully host the World Cup.

The World Cup 2026 European qualifiers groups have been announced:

QF1 to QF4 clubs refers to the winners of the Nations League quarter final matchups. It is in order as below.

What do you think about this draw?

Turkey's group is the most important one for me of course and I think we have a quite decent draw.  Smiley  The winner of the Spain - Netherlands matchup will surely make big difficulties for us. However we should be able to be victorious against Georgia and Bulgaria both. I believe we will finish our group in 2nd place and take a big step for the main competition.  Roll Eyes

It may worth mentioning that 2030 world cup will be hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

It could be added that South America will also be involved as they are hosting the three opening matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay and because of this, it was quite likely that Saudi Arabia would get the go for 2034 as they are following this rotation principle that no continent can host world cup games for two world cups in a row. I think this was all politically staged beforehand as they claim that human rights would play an important role in the host selection process, but when Qatar and Saudi Arabia host two world cups within a time span of 12 years, well...

It has not been decided yet whether it will be a Winter world cup and the fact that this conference was held online is a farce given that they claimed it was done to keep the carbon footprint low. As if any of these FIFA representatives give anything about that. Infantino is probably going to the supermarket and the gym by private jet...

Saudi Arabia will host 2034 world cup (not 2030) and that has officially been confirmed by FIFA.

I guess it will be another winter shitty World Cup that break all calendar and many players.
2034 seems very far away and there is hope that players will somehow solve the issue with the overloaded calendar by then, but it still irritates me when things continue to be done that turned out to be very problematic and contradictory.

LOL.. at least it will be better than the 2022 edition, which was hosted by Qatar. I agree that it was a very shitty tournament. There were multiple concerns regarding violation of human rights for the migrant workers, who were involved in the construction of stadiums, ticket prices, prohibition of alcohol.etc. Some of these concerns are still valid for the Saudi Arabian tournament as well, but I am sure that Saudi authorities will take the necessary arrangements to resolve them in an amicable manner.

How much better? By 4 percent? It is clear that some things will be better, some worse, but overall I don't like this trend of selling tournaments to petrocracies (and the World Cup in Russia, where I live by the way, is from the same series).
And what about the timing? Winter again? Qatar and Saudi Arabia are literally neighbors, although the Saudis have more northern territories.

The host nations and FIFA strive to make each World Cup tournament more attractive, resulting in tougher competition each season. The 2026 World Cup is going to be even more competitive than the 2022 World Cup was. We can see a lot of new things in the 2026 World Cup. In 2022 a lot of technology was used to make the tournament beautiful and accurate and in 2022 world cup but players and fans were happy with all the decisions but there were some wrong decisions due to penalty in last world cup tournament hopefully nothing like that will happen in 2026 world cup tournament. Argentina won the last World Cup from Latin America, so the European teams will definitely try to do well in the upcoming World Cup.

Undoubtedly things in Qatar were at another level, I honestly saw that they had a lot of criticism, but who doesn't criticize nowadays? If they don't like something, they don't say it for nothing, so for me these events are the best in the world because I like football a lot and each country that organizes it has the right to set its own rules because they are the owners of their countries, so the others have to adapt, those are the things that we must see, respect, abide by, it is something that must always be considered, that is why it is always good to see all points of view.

There is still plenty of time for Saudi Arabia to improve its national team. Right now, I think they still have to work hard to compete with teams in Asia. And to host the World Cup, they really have to improve the quality of their national team players.
They brought in many top European players to their league, some criticized that as the reason why their national team's performance is currently declining because their players don't get a place in the main squad at the club. It's different when you look at Japan, where most of their national team players actually play abroad and some come from the domestic league.
There is a lot to prepare, not only to be a host which will be extraordinary, but also with the hope that their national team will perform well.
I agree with you that bought too many European players into their league is really have negative impact for development of their national team because most of the players from the current squad of Saudi Arabia didn't gets much the opportunities to playing at their clubs because those clubs are more likely to played European players rather than the native players even Roberto Mancini has been complaining these situations because it will have any effect to Saudi Arabia performance

The latest proof from these situation is Saudi Arabia still unable to performing well at qualification stages even they had just lost from Indonesia which on the paper the strength of Indonesia is below to them and about Saudi Arabia long term project if we calculated it i think 10 years should be enough to build solid squad because if Saudi Arabia is really serious then starting from now they can be more focus to their youth players

The main problem isn't that they are filling up their teams with players from Europe or South America, their main problem is that they can't get their own national players to a level that European clubs want them. They need to invest more money into the people behind the team. The coaches and those who know how to make plans to build their own talents and how to support them to make the step to bigger clubs outside of Saudi Arabia. I don't know how much genetics play a role, but one fact of the matter is that South Americans are among the best footballers in the world although they probably don't have the best infrastructure and educational architecture. Every nation has a talent in a certain professional sport and to me it looks like Saudi Arabians are not made to become the best footballers in the world. There can of course be exceptions, but one exception is not enough to win a World Cup. One Haaland and one Odegaard is not enough to make Norway the next World Cup winner if you know what I mean.

During this week we got confirmation that Saudi Arabia will be hosting the 2034 FIFA World Cup (official announcement from FIFA just came a few hours ago). I am quite excited about this, as Saudi Arabia is making rapid strides in becoming a global sports hub. They are making giant investments in sports such as football, golf, F1, cricket and tennis. Also, if Qatar can host the 2022 edition, then Saudi Arabia has every right to host the 2034 edition. I am sure that this is going to be the most extravagant and thrilling world cup ever to happen.
It seems that we will all also witness the 2034 World Cup could be an edition that surpasses the 2022 Qatar World Cup, on the other hand Saudi Arabia will also get ticket to be able to directly participate in this prestigious event even though in the end they may also be the same as Qatar fate which is easily eliminated to fall faster.
But with all this will make the 2034 World Cup to always be remembered, Saudi Arabia can develop football better after that and maybe there will be many changes there later thanks to Saudi Arabia being chosen as the host.

The Fipro team of the year was released earlier today and since then, we've seen so many reactions from football fans across the globe in regards the names on the list. So people believes that they're are omitted names that should've made it into the first XI while others believe that the list is very accurate. Do you think this list of going to affect FIFA's decision when they'll release their own official team of the year during the Best awards? Let me get your thoughts.

Kevin De Bruyne is not performing well for Manchester City at the moment so if a World XI was made at this time I would definitely replace Kevin De Bruyne with Federico Valverde, or Casemiro. But those who made this World XI must have a better understanding than me and from that good understanding they made this XI so there is nothing to discuss or criticize about it. I only shared my personal opinion here. It's not like my personal opinion has to match other people's opinion.
It is true that Kevin De Bruyne is not performing well at the moment but he has contributed a lot for Manchester City in the past and has performed very well. That's probably why he was included in the World XI. I think the OP may not have mentioned why these players were given a chance in the World XI. In fact, the players named in this World XI were selected mainly by voting, as is done at the Ballon d'Or.

Visit the below mentioned link it clearly states that they have been given a chance in the World XI based on their performance from 21 August 2003 to 14 July 2024.

Saudi Arabia will have enough time to prepare to host the World Cup in their country. It is definitely a very good decision of FIFA because even a few seasons ago it was like that the host country of the World Cup was either a European country or a Latin American country but FIFA managed to get out of that place.
It has been confirmed that the 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar and the 2034 World Cup will be held in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is a very advanced country and the way they have prepared for the World Cup goes without saying that the 2034 World Cup will undoubtedly be the best World Cup tournament out of all the others.

Still 10 years to go and after these 10 years maybe we won't see many famous star players but sure it will be a great World Cup. Saudi Arabia will surprise the 2034 World Cup even more than Qatar surprised the world.

Did you notice how significant the FIFPro World 11 was this year?

I say this because for the first time since 2006, Lionel Messi is absent from the men's national team, which means that this must definitely put an end to his remarkable performance after a record 17 appearances.

I find this "award" very interesting, because unlike the FIFA awards that can be voted on by users, or the Ballon d'Or that is voted on by journalists, the FIFPro is voted on only by players, so these eleven players were honestly chosen by their own colleagues.

In my opinion, they should have chosen Lamine Yamal, Lewandowski and Vinicius Jr. for the attack because at the moment these players are doing well. I know that Haaland has managed to score many goals for Manchester City. But comparing Haaland with Lewandowski at the moment, I would say that Lewandowski is better. Also, if I were to compare Mbappe with Yamal at the moment, I would say that Yamal is better than Mbappe. There are many games in which Mbappe fails when he is close to the opposing goalkeeper, while Yamal manages to score goals from very difficult angles.
