Hey philipma1957, I always read your topics and I really like and follow a lot of things you said until now, and I want to thank you because I'm in profit
I have a small rig ( 2GTX 1070 and a 1060), I'm just looking to buy to 4th card to complete my rig

You are in the cryptos for a long time and my doubt is: Every end of the year (Nov Dec), is it true that people capitalize the money, in fiat currency and the market goes down for a month o two, because the holidays etc?
I'm trying to make a plan here
My rig is small but I'm investing some money directly to the coins too

Thank you

I am still getting free licensed W10.

Install 7;  Activate, Update all present system updates to sp1 and a little beyond.

take original W10 ISO on USB and run setup in win7;  choose upgrade.

when win10 finishes,  it is automatically activated.

I have set up about 15 systems in the last few months with this exact process.

FYI:
1) if you use a finnicky "activator" such as "autokms", it will fail somewhere along the line; possibly after it talks to the internet the first time.  A few people have found this out for me.

2) If you use the wrong version of windows 7 (one of those auto-activating hack install ISO's, the wrong version of 7 Ultimate (regkey), or something along those lines);  It will fail activation once online.

I found both of these out from errors others were having with my process.

I have personally confirmed it to work by using the 7 ultimate trial; an OEM licensing/activating tool (for dell, Acer, Compaq, Etc), and the same process above.  Worked like a champ.  I do this on OEM machines like thinkpads because it's their utility for licensing/activating Win7 XD.

it's hard to find where to bet..
Most of the time there is no particular reason for an asset to earn so much more than another ...

I think QuintLeo will hate me for this  Smiley .... but this is a 200b industry and so there's plenty for everyone.

Hot Crypto Coin Early Warning System

1. Track volume trading at exchange (usually Bitrex or Cryptopia).... if its in Top 10 Volume traded - we may have a fine winner - at this point you can apply any other skills you have to evaluate potential coins.

2. Keep track of tpruvot and sp_ ANN/bitcointalk for new ccminer forks usually to specifically mine new hot coins. Dev like sp_ sells his miner usually faster and efficient.

3. Keep track of yimp and zpool for new coins, if you want BTC payout follow zpool, otherwise yimp to mine outright coins.

4. Golden rule: Dont fall in love with altcoins (other than BTC, ETH blah blah blah)  Grin

SOOTHA - refer to rule #4 - mine for profits to fund coins with good fundamentals - the hype is irrelevant. NEO will be huge with 78x projection... Microsoft is getting cozy with them because its basically propped up as the China's Ethereum...

Thanks for sharing some tips. I for one appreciate it.

See i dont understand yet why people are using nicehash as a large mining operation....

I doubt any LARGE mining operation uses Nicehash, as they just aren't a big enough market to asorb that much hashrate.

For smaller miners though, they often are THE most profitable option for a particular algo, and usually are in the top 3, on the algos their market supports.
Scrypt in particular the last 2-3 days they've been the top option, but it DOES vary a lot - last week they spent a lot of time outside of the top 5 scrypt options.

Keep in mind that you're not mining COINS on Nicehash itself, you're SELLING your hashrate to OTHER miners for them to do the actual mining with.

The top 10 volume coins are almost never the "highest profitable coins" - rare exceptions when a coin is fairly big AND climbing on price a lot.

Backup pools are important for ANY miner.
Even major DDOS-protected pools will sometimes go down for a while.

Just sold some  coin at 3403.

I did hold one of the 8 bcc coins

it moved up.

all in all a good night sleeping.

Have to say  I have been cautious for the entire alt coin explosion  from April of 2016 to August 2017  and  I still made more profit in these 16 months then I made in the

July 2012 to March 2016 time period of 45 months.

Did you calculate your profit in bitcoin or in the fiat? If in bitcoin, I think you might earn more earlier.

Hot damn SIGT is on fire recently and I did not even notice! Thanks for pointing it out again. Wish I had not dumped my 9k coins back when I was first mining it! Guess I should not have stopped! Oh well, live and learn. I turned that mined DGB into more NEO/OMG and it has been really good to me so I guess in the end it is a wash anyway. My big mistake was turning some SIGT into UBQ a few weeks ago - no idea why I did that  Huh

I bought NEO early at 7$ (thanks to SIGT mining and the mini NVIDIA farm)..... steady dear heart... steady  Grin

I had a small bag of NEO early on - averaged up and I'm basically at break even currently - this is one I will be holding for a longer time.

Same with OMG.. I will be holding for quite a while on this puppy.

SIGT really I do not get the hype around it. Yayyy "new algo" - just another thing chained together like others.. I do not see why this has exploded at all. Maybe it is just the jaded cynic in me.

today was an amazing day in the SIGT world, bought 2.2BTC of coins @ .000022 today and sold them @ .00003529....

Almost got out of my mistake on BCH today also, it raised up to .084 and my sell out is 0.093 to make some money off the mistake... it looks like it may be trending slightly up.. so it may hit it in the next day or so and wipe out my mistake and release some capital...

Bitconnect and mining has been doing awesome for me as well today, i did a local meetup this morning for crypto investing and crypto mining talks, turned out damn good had roughly 80 people show up... spoke a little about mining and different things i have been dabbling with and Mr Jerry Banfield himself showed up and gave about 20 minutes of talking himself, mostly about steemit... event turned out pretty good i didnt ask anyone to sign up for me, i just showed everyone my earnings on mining, bitconnect, genesis mining, and trading over the past month and had 27 people sign up under me today under bitconnect, so i am fully out on my initial investment into bitconnect of 12k now with the referral bonuses... and 4 of the people offered me money to help them build mining rigs, so i am doing another meetup in roughly 2 weeks once all the parts show up on mining rig builds using their parts as the build...

Yes, SIGT has been kind this week, I offloaded my current position and those shiny BTCs bought more NEO. I havent got the push to do Bitconnect yet well anyways...

@QuintLeo.... yes I feel your pain on new coins and profitability..... however I take a different approach to share the good news rather than hiding it like a secret.

You do know that we are not the only ones looking for good deals. Its really simple to track new & hot coins early really ... so it will be a matter of time before the herd comes in -- that we cannot control. Unless you have 100 rigs running 5xGTX1080ti each.... you can easily mine a nice % of the total mining power.

I have 4 coins that I am mining hard at the moment using my modest NVIDIA farm (22 x 1080ti). Sometimes I stop my 6GHs ETH farm and run sgminer and ccminer for half-day to mine a certain coin before resuming ETH mining again. When its time to sell, I sell the ripe coins at profits every 72 hours.... proceeds will go to buy more my fav shares of 2-3 long term coin hodls.

I have had several PMs from members (I dont know them and first time receiving PMs from them) for me to stop sharing info on new coins... well I guess they will be disappointed.

Its always good to share.

Man i want to buy into Neo so bad, but the coin just been floating upwards, been holding out for some drops to buy into it.. right now i am concentrating on SIGT, the spread on movement is 3-7% again, so im going to be trading it most of the day to gain profits and coins on 50-75pt movements... thats how i doubled my coins in 2 days previously...

I have a funny feeling that SIGT will plummet very soon for a day or half a day, lastnight someone bought in 9btc order at 3400 on sigt, and it took the entire market out for like an half hour filling it. so i see that position plummeting the price when they decide to sell off if they do any day now or maybe it wont and they are taking a hold position....

In regards to Bitconnect, i would honestly stay away from it unless you have money to chance with... that is what i tell everyone... invest what you can possibly loose and take it all out everyday tell you get your investment back... because even I who has had great success dont understand how it is managing to support itself, granted i get how it does it via bot trading and paying out 10% of the profits the bot manages to make each day + transfer fees going from btc to bcc, then transfer fees going from bcc to a loan... those 3 sources of income holds it up, but the rates are just so high i fear a tipping point in the future, just dont know how long in the future...

I did a 12k loan at first because it had the fastest period of time to return the money back to me, which was my plan.. to remove my 12k back from investing it and then pocket 50% of the earnings after that while letting the other half continue to grow it through compound interest tell it goes away... when i hit the 4 month mark im not sure if ill re-invest it in another 12k loan or not.. i am still contemplating that, but luckily i am 100% out of the pot with my hard earnings now, so all money made after this point are just profit...

I may start dumping the 50% into NEO like you mentioned, since im kinda stuck on expansion right now on mining rigs.. have no more power to plug into.... Sad

What exchange are you using? I have some in Poloniex but I just dont feel uber comfy using exchanges for a lot of coins.

I'd be careful with Bitconnect as it has that same fishy-ponzi smell as the GAW miners/Zen/Hashlets scam I fell for a couple of years ago.  The results on Bitconnect look unsustainable, especially with the MLM referral rates that many youtubers are spouting on about.  It just feels like the same thing.  Soon the goalposts on Bitconnect will start changing or they will offer ways to change your locked up capital into future products.  Then because you are a loyal customer you will start getting bonuses if you keep your capital locked up.
