I've heard that Tottenham and Aston Villa both are trying to sign Southampton's 26-year-old midfielder James Ward-Prowse. He is valued €30m now. But I don't know how much he would cost to one of these teams if this transfer happens. He is a valuable player for Southampton now. He had 8 goals and 8 assists in the league the last season. I wonder if any of these teams will succeed in signing him.

According to Goal, Chelsea have accepted a 34 million pound offer from Roma for their striker Tammy Abraham. And it includes a buy-back clause also.

If Abraham develops a lot there and becomes a top striker, maybe we can watch him at Chelsea later again like Lukaku now.

I've heard a rumour quite opposite to this that Tammy Abraham is now resisting move to Italy and thus AS Roma are now targetting Alexandre Lacazette. Either way with the signing of Lukaku I am sure Abraham's chances to start in Chelsea line up would be very very slim. It would be good to move to some other club while he has the chance.

@Avirunes Abraham doesn’t want to leave the premier league, but Mourinho is trying his best to bring him over but so far it’s not working. Also don’t you’ll think that 34 million is a lot for him, instead Lacazette seems to be a better buy, but only time will tell who Roma gets.

Yeah it is a bit but I really think Abraham should go down in between 20-25m given the form he was in last to last season. It was the new signings that made it hard for him to keep his name in the first team squad but otherwise he is a good and young talented striker.

Also Chelsea including buyback is smart too. I think he would become a good striker just needs a team that gives fair enough chances to prove himself and right now obviously Chelsea is not that team.

Sold 34 million, and buy back with higher price?, sounds funny strategy from Chelsea if this happens again. I know maybe Abraham can get a place to be on starting XI, but if Chelsea believe in this player, I think it will be better if they are give a time to play even just a subtitutions or just let him go on loan status, maybe it will save their money than buyback with higher price if he success in other clubs.
Chelsea had included a buyback clause because they believe in the potential of the young lad. They don't want to make any mistake loosing him finally.Tammy Abraham proved his worth while Lampard was in charge of the team,so unfortunate for him that this new coach does not believe in him.But I believe he will be a success at AS Roma.

Pretty crazy to see Messi leave Barcelona.  I have quite a few buddies who are Barcelona fans, and they of course are none to pleased with what transpired with that whole thing.  I am also just referring to people whom are in the United States, I can't imagine being a lifelong Barcelona fan who lives in Spain..this must be absolutely heartbreaking.  I'm curious to ask for you Euros who follow the sport very closely, where do you guys put Messi in term of the all time greats?
Disappointed when Messi left Barcelona and play for PSG because I am Real Madrid fans need haters for my club and always debate both Barcelona or Real Madrid get bad result, but now the popularity or Barcelona fans have move and change their club to be PSG fans and not any interested yet to debate.

Messi has been creating problems for Barcelona so I am pretty sure the manager is happy with this decision. Getting rid of him was good for the team. If Messi will be happy in PSG, it is a win/win situation for the both parties.

Barcelona has to create or buy new stars, Messi is getting old anyway. How many years he left you think?

This is interesting too.
Mbappe tells PSG he wants to leave for Real Madrid after Messi joins club
Mbappe thinks the arrival of Messi might not make him to shine and cast out his star, being a potential ballon'dor candidate, in the last two seasons his performances outweigh that of Neymar Jr, the spotlight and attention will be more on Messi, I respect his decision to leave PSG to join Real Madrid unfortunately he still have a year in his contract, so it is either PSG sell him now or he leaves on a free transfer next season and he had not sign a contract extension with PSG, although I will like to watch the trio of Mbappe, Neymar and Messi playing together as it is now that might not be realistic.

El Classico will not be as popular as before. Even La Liga's popularity will continue to decline day by day. Messi has left not just for this. Real Madrid and Barcelona, the two main teams in La Liga, do not have big stars. The two teams have now become teams of average level. Griezmann is Barcelona's best and star player and Benzema is Real Madrid's star player.

Yup.  El Clasico is overrated most of the time anyway.  Those years with Pep, Messi at Barca and Mourinho, Ronaldo at Real Madrid was the nuts.  It went downhill after that for non La Liga fans but who are fans of other leagues like me.

Edit:  The most most signing of the year could be Varane.  Him played side by side with Maguire...  Omg.  City will need Kane!

You may also wonder how serious Messi's grief is that he has to leave the club. Last year he had already made the decision to leave the club, and at the last minute it fell through. If you really love your club so much, why would he want to leave last year? I think it's a stage. with Crocodil tears.

I also think kinda the same. I believe messi that he is really sad that he could not prolong his contract at barcelona. As far as i know he does not speak french and not even english so i really believe him that he wanted to stay in Spain just for personal and comfort reasons and of course also why he really likes Fc barcelona.
If he really wanted to stay at barca at all costs then i am 100% sure that there would have been a way for him to stay there. Barca had to cust salary costs down drastically to meet the new regulations. So if Messi had been willing to give up a large part of his salary, then surely he could have stayed. I'm not saying that he would have had to do that, or that I would have done that, but there would certainly have been a possibility to stay.

This word of yours has no meaning. Messi agreed to reduce his salary by 50%. No player will agree to reduce it more. We must remember that he is a professional player. Why would he play without money? Moreover, the entire fault lies with the Barcelona management. They knew the rules. Even then they have picked Aguero and Depay in the squad this season. They could have sold Dembele. They did not. I think the whole incident is arranged by Joan Laporta.

when ronaldo's departure from la Liga made the competition look no longer attractive, and now messi has also officially left Barcelona so that of course will make the charm of la Liga fade in my opinion, the departure of the best players who have charm certainly makes La Liga become less desirable to watch and this also El Classico will feel like a normal match, and maybe we have to wait long enough to see the arrival of new quality talents such as messi and ronaldo, and in my opinion now only suarez has quality quite good in La Liga Grin.

I think La Liga will survive. It will for sure take a hit but we've all seen the GOATs come and go. Becham left United and the club didn't fade. Ronaldinho left Barca, and Luis Figo (although haha we all know where to) and Ronaldo (original) left Real but nothing faded.

New stars and new heroes will fill the void.

El Clasico is something else though and yes, maybe that will need new heroes and villains.

Arsenal have been looking for signing Sheffield Utd's 23-year-old goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. But Sheffield Utd's last asking price which was around £30m was refused by Arsenal. His market value is €12m now. And he is actually a quite talented goalkeeper. As Leno started making many simple mistakes, Arsenal started to search for a new goalkeeper.

Messi gave second chance for Barcelona but never get any good deal between Barcelona and Lionel Messi exactly with contract value, I think Barcelona should give most respect for Messi when last year almost close with Manchester City but Messi keep stay with Barcelona, now after give second chance Barcelona not make good decision for Messi by salary with lower value.

It is said that PSG is going to look to sell up to 10 players to balance their finance as they have signed Lionel Messi and poured a lot of money into the transfer. Players like Idrissa Gueye (31), Ander Herrera (31) and Mauro Icardi (28) are included in these players to be sold also.

Icardi is already rumoured to be sold soon. Some people were saying that he would go back to Italy again. Maybe Roma or Inter can sign him.

I don't see anything wrong with that. For example, Icardi is quite a young football player and it will be more useful for him to play in the Italian championship than to sit on the bench in the French championship. Inter and Roma have no less championship ambitions than PSG and a much more competitive championship, so from a sports point of view, I see only advantages in such a transition.

As for me for now I do not have believe in Barcelona match, Spanish league can not be like before, I have found Spanish league to be interesting because of Real Madrid and Barcelona, but found it interesting not because of the club but because of C. Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. But know that there are still good players there, there will still be good players and many of the clubs will make it to champions league round of 16 and even more, many people will still found Spanish league interesting but might not be for now.

Mbappe still unwilling to extend his contract, apparently he'll either be allowed to leave this season for a reduced fee or he will leave PSG for free next season. He wants Real Madrid - not sure that they can currently afford his salaries.

Maybe we won't be seeing the big 3 in PSG after all, although I don't understand why Mbappe would want to leave this season. PSG still doesn't want to sell (even if he won't extend), he's pushing to go and Real looks way worse than this PSG team.

Will be interesting to track this, would be a big hit for PSG if he leaves.
