I just read this article: https://netherlandsnewslive.com/in-january-ajax-spent-more-than-all-twenty-clubs-in-spain-combined-sport/77814/

I haven followed all the transfers in Spain but have they really spend that less in this winterstop? If a club like Ajax spend more then all those clubs together  Huh

There is no money.

These are the money spent in this winter.

Yep it wasn't a boring transfer window but if you see this numbers it really looks like it all getting back to normal. The last transfer windows they paid huge amounts for players which I think can't never be good. If you see that players are being transfered for 100mio+ then the market is inflated. All the clubs kept spending money they didn't had.

Ozan Kabak to Liverpool looks like a done deal unless something major changes, he passed his medical and ready to play for LFC. I believe he is not going to be a great change to the teams roster, but he is definitely a good enough defender that he could be used for the bench, they already lost VVD and that is a horrible injury for them and missing one of the most important players, but with Ozan they will not replace him for sure, that requires players worth 50+ million instead, VVD is too good to be replaced easily.

But at the end of the day they were down one defender and got another defender, even if not the same quality at least they could have the numbers back up again for rotation pieces. Paying 2.8 million for the loan is basically nothing for them, they make that money from probably just one game, and it was just a "just in case" transfer for them.
I think this Ozan Kabak deal will definitely be a game changer for them. Ozan is a very young player and to be honest he is quite raw talent as well but under Klopp dude will have a lot of time to prove himself and be ready for the future.

His great chance is that VVD is gone for the rest of the season so he will get a lot of minutes, after VVD is back next year, he is going to have some time to play as well but if he shows how good he is during this period he will have a chance to play next year too, but if he fails, he will probably still be Liverpool player and be bought but I am afraid if he is bad he could not even be bought, just this loan and go back to his team again. Let's see whats going to happen, this turkish defensive thing is getting out of control, by this pace we gonna have at least 1 turkish defender in every team eventually.

It's official Mayland Niles has joined West Brom on loan from Arsenal. I have not expected but indeed it's happened. He played a big role in couple of matches and brings in a lot to the team. He will be missed and hopefully come back much more stronger.

I am happy for him on this deal. I think he is quite talented. He is also only 23 years old. I really liked him in some games when he was at Arsenal. Therefore, I think West Brom did a nice thing by signing him on loan. I believe he will make a good contribution to the team.

I agree with you it's a good thing for West Brom to be able to borrow Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Arsenal, because Maitland-Niles is a good player.
But he are unable to compete with senior players at Arsenal, I am sure Maitland-Niles will make a big contribution to West Brom. Actually I was
quite surprised by Arsenal who were quite active on the last day of the transfer market, after loaning Maitland-Niles to West Brom. Arsenal also
released Mustafi permanently to Schalke and Willock went on loan to Newcastle. Meanwhile Arsenal signed Martin Odegaard on loan. Arsenal's
movement in the transfer market indicates that Arteta is very serious about providing improvements at Arsenal. Hopefully Arsenal can enter
the top 4 this season

According to rumours, Manchester City have joined the race to sign Inter midfielder Achraf Hakimi (22) who is also wanted by Chelsea and Arsenal. He was a Real Madrid player but on loan at Dortmund before coming to Inter on last September. He has played in 27 games so far. He scored 6 goals and made 5 assists.

It will depends a lot if Inter will pay Real or not.
They need to pay for him before 30 March, they already delayed the payment 1 time.

Salvation at the last minute because after Van Dijk and Gomez Liverpool also lost another defensive player due to injury, Matip.
What a drama in the last hours for Liverpool but they managed to make a last-minute deal.

The transfer window is closed & rumours will slow down now until the summer. Most January deals were low value & loans, probably due to the financial hit clubs are experiencing due to covid.

This sounds like a really good move from WBA side. They needed to add some extra qoulity to their squad. Not so sure from Niles perspective, it is tough to get into the team fighting to avoid relegation and even if he gets first teams starts WBA does not have a lot of ball possession and it will be tough for him to show his prowes.

I was really really hoping for some transfer news for Spurs but it seems the clubs all around have not really done anything. I see good signings for Arsenal (oh no Spurs) and Liverpool got 2 new centerbacks,,, not sure about the "cheap" guy from Preston but their German defender will probably be a good stop measure. Liverpool new defence good enough you think?

According to transfermarkt the Ozan Kabak - FC Liverpool deal is only a matter of minutes.
Liverpool have acted excellently and gotten 2 centre backs to bolster their defensive options and importantly allow the midfield of Henderson, thiago and Wijhalum to thrive. It remains to be seen how the defensive signings will blend to the premier league; atleast Liverpool have less injury records to worry about as the champions league resumes in few weekks
It was a very good decision by Liverpool to bring in two center backs, because now Liverpool's defense is really worrying. After several Liverpool
center backs were injured at the same time. Like Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joe Matip. While those available in the reserves are Rhys Williams and
Nathaniel Phillips who are still very young. But what Liverpool need is an experienced center back, so bringing in Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak is a must.
Moreover, in a few weeks Liverpool will have to face Leipzig in the Champions League.

It looks like Ozan Kabak was already a big fan of Virgil van Dijk. Check out his Tweet from 2018.

As for Liverpool, they did well to sign some defenders and sent Minamino to Southampton on loan. How do you feel about this? (Liverpool fans)

Liverpool will be fine without him for the time being. Southampton have a huge goal scoring drought and Minamino is a good striker. He hasn't featured in the starting XI or substituted in much because Klopp has more preferred strikers he'd like to start off with (Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota).

Soton need a man who can reinforce Danny Ings because although he is good, I feel the rest of them are mediocre. The nice thing about this for Minamino is that he will get more playing time (for one he will definitely be in the starting XI, because it makes no sense to blow money on players only to leave them on the bench, unless you are Real Madrid  Roll Eyes). I feel that Soton might even try to make him a permanent transfer after this season if he proves good enough for them.

Is He the Demiral partner right in Turkey?

Does anyone from Premier confirmed the offer from Liverpool to Demiral? Don't follow Fabrizio Romano for Juventus.
Yeah.  They become partners in the national team.Butgenerally, Çağlar Söyüncü and demiral partner together.  Ozan Kabak is only 21 years old and a very successful career awaits him.  I believe it.  It was a great transfer for Liverpool. We are proud of such transfers more with our Turkish players in Turkey.

Arsenal are off-loading their players heavily whether it be on a permanent transfer or loan. Just recently they have sent Maitland-Niles on loan to West Brom also they are also considering moving Willock to Newcastle on loan as well. They are quite some talent but guess Arteta feels he has got everything he needs for now for the remainder of the season.

Kovalenko transferred to Atalanta today. However, he will not be able to play at Atalanta because of the limit on the number of players not from the European Union. And most likely he will be sent to Genoa on rent.

Atalanta B.C. announce the permanent signing of footballer Viktor from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Finally, we can actually start addressing our defense problems now that we have Davies and Kabak. I thought LFC would be too slow to finish one before the transfer deadline that I think has just been crossed but we got a blessing, two deals at the same time! (I know this deadline only applies to international transfers so they could've got Davies later, but why though? We needed a defender ASAP)

They need Davies in particular, from what I understand, because there's an empty CB position in the Chanpions League that they must fill with a domestic player, and not with one from abroad, so Kabak cannot be included in such a squad.

We're still at a little disadvantage against RB Leipzig though, we are only at a 24-man squad because VVD is taking a spot but he's injured and can't be unregistered from the champions league squad. Besides why unregister him anyway, he's a world-class defender and will be very useful if we ever make it to the semi-finals. Maybe even to the quarter-finals if he recovers fast enough Smiley

But coming back to the present, while Fabinho and Matip are injured we don't want to overplay Nat. We definitely do not want him to get injured too.

EDIT: I just read that Matip is going to miss the rest of the season too. Damn it  Sad
