The rumours about a possible move to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku have been increasing nowadays.
If that turns out to be true and Lukkaku really does join Chelsea, I think Timo Werner will leave the club. He's having a bad season and it seems like he can't cope with English football. In addition, he would then certainly only a supplementary player and no longer set. But such a young player must be set to be able to develop further. There is already interest from other clubs.
And when Messi arrived to sign a contract, the player was asked to reduce his salary even more. It is quite possible that this is some attempt on the part of Barcelona and Messi to put pressure on La Liga, which does not want to make concessions. However, I strongly doubt that this will help much. I think that the whole world is shocked by such a development of events and it looks like the final departure of the Argentine from the club, because we were all assured that the issue was already practically resolved and it only remained to agree on small details. I think that Manchester City would also not refuse to sign Messi even if they have all their strikers, especially since you do not have to pay a lot of money to buy a player.
