PSG are seen as the closest team to be able to sign Lionel Messi now. But according to some other sources, there is a possibility for Messi to go to MLS also. And I hope that it is nothing more than a rumour and Messi doesn't want it. Otherwise, I would be really devastated. I've been waiting to see him at a different European club for a long time.
I doubt Messi will move outside of Europe, I expected him to move to EPL and play under Guardiola again but he declared earlier that Messi is not on their agenda especially after signing Grealish meh... Now PSG seems the closest club to sign Messi. How much oil fields money those parisiens and Qataris are planning to spend this summer!

No club other than PSG can take Messi in the team now. Because Messi's salary is very high. If Manchester City hadn't picked Grealish, they would have done their best to get Messi. PSG is the only club that is always ready to take Messi to the team.

Lots of rumours flying around that Messi is going to Mls, dude is still playing actively I don't see any reason why he will move to Mls at this stage, it's either he go to Psg which is very likely or move to Manchester city because of Pep Guadiola, as for the edit that Arsenal fans did, its not possible for Messi to come to Arsenal  Grin, he would like to play in champions league

Well Lionel Messi is already 34 years old now so even though he is still definitely one of the best players in the world clubs really need to think twice if they really want to spend a huge amount of money for a player of that age. He will probably have 2 or at max 3 more good seasons before his performances will surely decrease. A couple of months ago the news came out that messi earned 555 million € between 2017 and 2021. That is more than 100 M € per year and that was also the main reason why FC Barcelona is now broke. So i can completely understand they did not prolong his contract at Barcelona if he still wanted to earn that amount of money.. no single player is worth that much.

Even though Messi is 34 years old and his form will likely continue to decline, but for a big club that managed to attract Messi there are other benefits
that can be obtained. Messi will attract many sponsors, because Messi has a lot of followers from all over the world, this can be a good income for
the club that signed him. Then the experience of Messi, who has won many trophies, can help increase the motivation of other players in his new team.
And I also believe that Messi can still contribute at least for the next 3 years, so surely there will be a lot of big teams who want Messi. And
the rumors circulating say the most likely PSG will succeed in getting Messi, although it is possible that Man City or Chelsea are also looking
for a striker, it is possible to consider signing Messi.

While this may be true and his form might decline, he is still among the best of the best easily. Just look at this quality to serve for others to score. Just look at his free kick abilities. Just look at the fact that he still scores 30+ per season and far in the 40s with all scorer points taken together. He might not be the fastest dribbler anymore even though saying that he is not a fast dribbler anymore is still an exaggeration.

The news of Leo Messi's divorce with Barcelona has clearly not left indifferent those clubs that could potentially sign the Argentine already in the coming weeks: among them of course as you all mention, Paris Saint-Germain (forget about Juventus, please that's a joke).
On the eve of the challenge against Troyes, Mauricio Pochettino, PSG coach, responded in a press conference to questions related to Messi and he said they know what happened yesterday between Messi and Barça, but they're completely focused on Troyes.
That's a very polite way to say that they're interested and they're gonna sign Messi!
Bye Bye Mbappe?

With the increasing news of the start of Paris Saint-Germain's move, many reports confirm that Paris is confident of its ability to all Mbappe, Neymar and Messi without financial problems.
Pochettino confirmed this a while ago.
But is it possible to combine them technically in one team??
I find it difficult for them to ducceed with this number of talents, and a reminder of the era of the Galacticos in Real Madrid, these expected stars did not achieve titles, normal results and frequent exit from the Champions League, while Real Madrid won the Champions League with less star players.
The presence of talent in the team enhances performance, but there is a so-called “talent increase effect”, the performance of any team is directly proportional to the number of talents in it until this number reaches a certain limit, after which the issue becomes reverse and performance declines with the number of talents exceeding the limit according to the study as having many talents will create some problems in the changing room for PSG that Pochettino will find it difficult to handle.

PSG already have started talks with Messi and City are yet to make a move.
I wouldn't be surprised if the City board of directors were regretting signing Grealish before the Messi-Barca announcement. That money (100M+) could've easily covered messi's salary for at least 2 seasons or so. Seems like they're too late to the party since Messi will prolly go to PSG.
Heh! We might to wait a couple of decades to hear what ppl like Pep or the City board have to say about this whole situation, some kind of documentary like ""the day Man City missed the chance to sign Messi"". Mental  Grin

It's been rumoured that Manchester City or PSG will sign Lionel Messi soon. But I've seen this news today:

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58114039

Guardiola says that Messi is not in their thoughts now. He thought that Messi would stay at Barcelona. They signed Jack Grealish and gave the number 10 to him. So, it looks like we may not see Messi at City. PSG seem to be closer to sign him very soon. As they have Neymar and Mbappe also, they will be the deadliest trio surely.

Guardiola signed Jack Grealish a few days ago. Now they don't seem to be thinking of taking Messi to the team. Manchester City will have to spend a lot of money to get Messi in the team, Manchester City may not spend that much extra money at the moment. Messi's next destination is most likely to be PSG. Because there is no shortage of money of PSG. But as far as it seems, Messi will decide to stay in Barcelona at the last moment.

hmph..
I am really waiting for the Ramos and Messi memes to surface when Messi to PSG is confirmed. Right now according to Romano, PSG already have started talks with Messi and City are yet to make a move. Barcelona and Messi were so close to extend the contract but damn at last point it turned out totally opposite opening gates for other big clubs to sign the superstar.

Last Season PSG already good enough without Messi, confidently made it to the UCL final. This season if Messi really joins PSG, then there is potential for PSG to become UCL champions. With many players who have good skills at PSG, plus Messi is no longer an impossible thing for them to reach the top of Europe and PSG is like being a lucky club to get Donnarumma and Messi for free.

Paris Saint-Germain are confident signing Lionel Messi would be profitable in the long run and hope to complete a deal within a week, as the PA news agency reports. Barcelona announced on Thursday night that the Argentinian superstar would be leaving the Nou Camp, with financial restrictions preventing them from offering him a new contract.

I have to admit it would be really great to see Messi in PSG for a year or 2. It would be among the best offensive lineups in the history of football, potentially the best as well. I can only think of a few Brazilian ones that can match it.

PSG has the money to pull that kind of deal, especially with FFP rules being loosened. Other than them, I really don't see a club able to match his contract demands so of course they have to be considered as strong favorites for his signature.

I expected him to stay at Barca, but this excites me a lot more.

there were already the first reactions from paris concerning the signing of LM - according to this, a signing of this year's copa america winner would make sense

Barcelona has a huge debt hanging on them I believe one of the options is to sell Messi and pay back some of the debts else the club will go bankrupt that is why it was stated by the club he has to leave due some financial obstacles his sign fee must be huge sure its either PSG or Man City that can afford him if Grealish worth €100 million then Messi should worth €500 million? let wait and see how those clubs would bid for his signings Unfortunately Messi is leaving Barcelona after a 21 years meritorious performance Barca after his exist will be more or less like an average team .
1.1 billion euros debt that is a sure financial crisis for barcelona with lack of achievements in last few seasons. no wonder this kind drama would pop up in the last secs of transfer window.

psg and manchester city are well known the two club that can afford to bring messi and feed him well in healthy financial with its oil money.
but chelsea might steal the show,  there's always a chance to hijack this transfer rumor. i still hope for messi to come to stamford bridge.
boosting merchandise sales that is a sure thing for any club if successfully land him. a huge transfer saga coming on your theatre!

Right now, maybe only Manchester City and PSG can afford to sign Lionel Messi, because most of the world's football clubs are experiencing financial problems due to the pandemic and it can be said that PSG and Manchester City are two clubs that are relatively safe in terms of finances right now, but to be honest I want to see Juventus sign Lionel Messi and pair him with Ronaldo up front and of course it will be quite interesting if we see two of the world's best players (Messi and Ronaldo) who previously continued to be rivals now join the same club, isn't that spectacular? This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
The rumours about a possible move to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku have been increasing nowadays.

If that turns out to be true and Lukkaku really does join Chelsea, I think Timo Werner will leave the club. He's having a bad season and it seems like he can't cope with English football. In addition, he would then certainly only a supplementary player and no longer set. But such a young player must be set to be able to develop further. There is already interest from other clubs.

To win titles, you need the right mix of different types of players. If Lukaku is available and at the right price, then Chelsea should make the move. But I believe in Werner's talent, too. He may have had a weak season but that doesn't mean he should leave the club.

As I heard some rumors, Lukaku's price is around 100-130€ million and for sure Inter will grand this transfer for that kind of money. IMHO Timo Werner is a very talented player but not ready to carry the weight of the basic striker of Chelsea. I'm not saying that he needs to leave with a transfer, perhaps a loan to another EPL team will be better for him and the club.

I think Lukaku and Werner are perfectly suited to play together. Lukaku is strong target man while Werner prefers to play more from the wings. Granted there is a lot of competition on the wings for Chelsea so somebody will probably leave but I don't think it will be Werner.

And now with Messi leaving Barca, there could be a chain reaction of transfers among top clubs.

Lukaku has been the big surprise for me in these two days. Grealish to City was expected but Lukaku one is a bit difficult pill to swallow. Lukaku and inter both confirmed when Serie A ended that they wanted to keep the striker and Lukaku also didn't wanted to leave Inter but now Lukaku wants to join Chelsea out of sudden  Shocked . Guess money really rings the bell. I however would have expected them to go for other strikers maybe in 40-50m mark again and save the rest for Haaland in future.

I am a Spurs fan so there is other news that will always occupy my thoughts,,, but yes, Lukaku after his huge revival in Serie A should really have stayed but as soon as their coach got moved on right after winning the league, then I think we have all been expecting the moves to kick off from Inter.

I have a feeling he is going to regret it but maybe he feels he can lead the striker force, so strong when all the others are so weak.
