Funny how Chelsea had Lukaku, sold Lukaku and then wants to buy him back again.  I don’t think I’ve seen something like this happen before.  Cheesy  But really now, wouldn’t it just be better to go for a cheaper but decent player and let Werner be first choice striker?  Give him another year to adjust ffs.  Some players don’t adapt in their first year with a new club.

The problem with Werner isn't that he didn't adapt, his problem is that he can play as a striker in some teams (mostly counterattacking ones) but can't in a team that is trying to create chances through possession as well. Most of what he played for Chelsea was as a winger/left sided option, Lukaku (or another striker) will be brought not to replace Werner but to play as that focal point alongside him.

They really do need a striker, a good one would bring them a level higher and they are smart to use their CL win to get the best one they currently can.

IMO, I totally think Coaches are meant to bring the best out of players, yeah indeed leagues Varies according to style of play and other things.
Frank Lampard fail to do so to Timo Werner , reminiscing how good this player was some seasons back at Rb Liepzig.
Getting a good sticker you said ?? Best believe Timo is a good one, imagine him playing for Bayern Munich......I think Thomas Tuchel should help work him up.

No doubt,Chelsea needs another striker,a high profile striker that can score more than 20 goals a season, and Romelu Lukaku can do that perfectly well because he has played in the EPL before, and knows how the game goes,he is a very good striker that fits Chelsea's style of play.Would love to see him in EPL.

Inter still needs to pay Lukaku... If Inter was in another country it would be penalized with a default.
They won a title with players never paid like Hakimi and Lukaku.
You're right and they're forced to sell, they need the money to re-balance their current financials. I don't know if that could have create trouble in another country but still this is a sign that Inter exploit last year was temporary. Fans are gonna face reality in the upcoming season and they won't like it.
Without Eriksen, Hakimi and Lukaku this team's not competitive enough.

Some news sources say that Jack Grealish's imminent arrival at Manchester City could cause Bernardo Silva to leave the team. I've heard that Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are very interested in signing him. As we know, Bernardo Silva is a really talented midfielder and winger. He is still young also (26). Both of these two teams would do really good with a decent player like him.
Most atimes I wonder what Mancity are really doing, because I don't really think Jack Grealish is even better than Bernado  Silva.I wish my club Arsenal were going for Silva,he can solve their attacking midfield problem.I really don't see any point in selling diver to replace him with Grealish.

I think it's just that they want the squad depth. Grealish adds a bit more to Man City, he doesn't completely change their potential, they are too good for that already... but he gives them a bit extra, and at the level they are at, £100m is what you have to pay to add something to what is already one of the best teams in the world.

Can't just Splash the cash £100 on a player and expects him to be on the bench, despite the depth Jack Grealish deserves more playing time to unlock more and more of his potentials.
News reaching me a medical at Manchester City will be done today...... Congratulations Jack.
He'll get to be in the squad up against Leicester City on Saturday for the Community Shield.

@Cnut237 Grealish is a beast and he’ll transform Manchester City, and he doesn’t get due recognition because he doesn’t play for a top 4 team but when he’ll play for City he’ll go on to become a legend of this game. Furthermore for this price it’s a steal, because Grealish is one of the best midfielders available and City will become much stronger due to his presence on the field.

HALA MADRID
Lukaku has been the big surprise for me in these two days. Grealish to City was expected but Lukaku one is a bit difficult pill to swallow. Lukaku and inter both confirmed when Serie A ended that they wanted to keep the striker and Lukaku also didn't wanted to leave Inter but now Lukaku wants to join Chelsea out of sudden  Shocked . Guess money really rings the bell. I however would have expected them to go for other strikers maybe in 40-50m mark again and save the rest for Haaland in future.
Jack Grealish become higher transfer value so far but still waiting with new announcement for Manchester City, but both team Aston Villa and new club for Jack Grealish have deal about value, now we are waiting for Chelsea return their player Lukaku will make new higher record transfers value or not, I think Inter Milan will sell this player if get good price and they will loss most potential forward.

Lukaku long story will come to an end finally? Inter and him denied leaving the club several times but at the end such amount of money will attract everyone. Now I believe Inter will be in trouble finding suitable substitutes.. Of course no need to mention how much spending will be add in EPL with the signing of Lukaku and Grelish Wink

Everything at clubs like Inter will be a long story,,, I think clubs now have no choice because of financial rules, either you play by the book or you cannot even start your talents and still have to pay their salaries. Lukaku publicly said he is staying with new coach but yes,,, even he knows he has to accept the financial situation and go if somewhere else can pay him when he is still at peak.

Grealish supposed to be 100 million phuff,,,

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprise should Bernando Silva seek for move elsewhere, but Guardiola has also shown over the years the he's capable of having a large squad and keep the merry going round, moreover squad depth would always be an added advantage to any team playing in the EPL, which duly affected Liverpool as well last season.

Bernando Silva would be a steal for any club that decides to make a move for him honestly, Arsenal really could make do of that opportunity.

A whooping €100 million placed on Jack Grealish if the deal is sealed that will a record signing in EPL after Pogba €89M,  this is a huge amount of money which Aston Villa wouldn't reject from Man City and a big opportunity for them to buy more young players after signing the duo of Leon Bailey and Emiliano Buendia.
Jack Grealish has more attacking creativity and prowess although Bernardo Silva is equally a good dribbler too that can create or open space for their striker but I think Pep Guordiola knows the reason why he opted for Jack Grealish Man City will be unstoppable this in EPL I hope they replicate that in UCL.

I think it is not so different with Man United buy again Paul Pogba from Juventus. Do you remember it?
This situation won't happen to Chelsea or Man United if they only loan those players to another club. Actually, both Chelsea and Man United already know the great skills of Lukaku or Pogba, but they are not patient to see the improvement of those players. They only focus on the senior players at that moment, while the players like Lukaku and Pogba are still junior players with have less chance to play. Then, they sold them because still have no big contribution to the clubs. Unfortunately, after got many chances to play in the other clubs, they can grow well and be big players. Chelsea just realizes Lukaku is one of the strongest strikers when Lukaku played in Inter Milan. If Chelsea can buy again Lukaku, it will be 100% the same as what Man United ever did before on Pogba.

Rumors here in Italy at the moment are about Lukaku already sold when/if the new offer from Chelsea will come.
About substitutes, the name in the air are Vlahovic from Fiorentina or Zapata from Atalanta.

The target price for both of them is over 50m.

In the end, Chelsea are working to convince Inter Milan to sell Romelu Lukaku and a deal could be closed this weekend. The Blues want Lukaku back (he landed at the Blues in 2011 from Anderlecht) and tried to convince the Nerazzurri with a €105 million offer plus Marcos Alonso.
Sky Sport reports that Inter expect to receive a new offer in the coming days, with the Londoners preparing a new bid worth 120-130 million euros for the 28-year-old.
Final word to make the deal is that of the player: will he accept?
I honestly do not remember his early Chelsea days to be fair, I am sure it was a great period for him and he was good but dude basically just went to loan constantly during that period and then went to United in the end. I remember his United period, he was a good player, he wasn't as great as he is right now but he was a great player for sure, then we all saw his Inter period as well and he is a great player that became one of the most wanted players in the world now.

However even with everything like that I have to say Haaland at 150-170 million is a lot better than 100+player for Lukaku. Lukaku is 28 years old and that's why I honestly think that Chelsea should have paid Dortmund whatever they want and get Haaland. The age difference is 6, and that 6 years difference makes a huge difference between the price as well and that is why Haaland is a better option.

According to Marca, Liverpool and some unnamed clubs are trying to sign Bournemouth's young left winger Arnaut Danjuma who is 24 years old now. And it is said that Villarreal have already made an offer around £21.5m. In the last season, he got 17 goals and 8 assists in 37 games. This is really good statistics for a young winger. And I know him from Football Manager game too. He was developing really fast and being very productive.  Grin

The transfer was inevitable if you ask me, It's been coming all along, and Aston Villa would have been the losing side if they had rejected such an enormous bid. Now they're can go ahead to make 2-4 decent signings that if it all goes well would make more impact in the club than Jack Grealish would single handedly have done.
I second that, and I have said it before, there was no chance that Aston Villa would have rejected the money City put on the table, I know Grealish is the best player in their team, but for a team of their level, they were pretty sure they couldn't hold Jack for too long again, having said that, it's a very decent sum, and if the Villa board can use that money to very good use, then they can replace Grealish very comfortably and do well this season. As for City, I don't know if spending that much to get Grealish was really worth it, but it is what it is, and since they have money to spend, they can get the best players, if City manage to complete Kane's signing as well, then they'll be absolutely unstoppable and I'm pretty sure they'll be EPL champions again and they could prolly win the CL as well.

Jack Grealish is doing the medical check - if this is passed successfully, JG will move from aston villa to man city for €100 mio

The record transfer of Aston Villa's attacking midfielder Jack Grealish to Manchester City is almost done. After reports surfaced last week that the Citizens were close to signing the midfielder for around €100 million, media reports now suggest that a deal for the 25-year-old is all but done. Dominic King from the Daily Mail tweeted that Grealish is expected to complete his medical in Manchester on Thursday. Sky Sport and The Telegraph also reported that a deal was complete.
