Manchester United according to Tuttosport used the clause on Pogba's contract and they extended his contract for 2 years.

source: https://www.tuttosport.com/news/calcio/calciomercato/2020/10/16-74990891/pogba_attivato_il_rinnovo_con_il_manchester_united_solskjaer_resta_altri_2_anni_/

But I can't find anything official, do you have any info from UK?

Yep, Ole confirmed Pogba is staying for another two years:

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though, has shown complete faith and confidence in Pogba. He confirmed that Pogba will be at the club until the summer of 2022 after the Red Devils triggered the 12-month extension clause in the player's contract.

"Paul is our player, he is gonna be here for another two years. Paul is focused on doing his best for us. In the next couple of years I'm sure we'll get the best out of him," said Solskjaer to reporters ahead of United's weekend visit to Newcastle.

About Ole though: A lot of outsiders and media reporters are for sacking Ole, I wouldn't pay attention to them. All that really matters is whether the board does it, at least one former player in the club is against it. And even though Man United lost two of their first three games so far it's too early to decide whether Ole will manage like that in the next several games. But definitely a loss against Newcastle is going to make the board push Ole off the deep end.

@coinlocket$ for now the club have extended his contract, but there’s no real desire from Pogba to stay at the club hence anything is possible when the summer transfer window opens next season. Furthermore I don’t know what Ole thinks of Pogba, but a player who openly says that he wants to move to Real Madrid with three games in a season played, is not the kind of player I would like to have in my playing 11.

Weird that Pogba just announced that his dream is to play for Real Madrid one day and now they are extending his contract. Most likely that they only did that extension so that they can ask more for him next summer. Otherwise his contract would've ended next year.

It's really weird with Pogba and Man United. I feel like he never really were able to show what the fans and probably the club were expecting from him when they signed him in 2016. So I think it would be the best for both parties, Pogba and Man United, to end their collaboration next summer. So  I am pretty sure Real will make a move next year and finally sign him.

Rolando for Mbappe?
Does this mean he won't play in todays game?
I noticed the odds changed from 1.25x PSG earlier in the week to 1.40x right before the game starts in a couple of hours from now.

Manchester United is not going to have a good season. This is definitely not a manager's fault. They have been doing some mistakes on transfer market over past few years. It doesn't matter if Ole remains, or Pochettino arrives. Even Sir Alex Ferguson had some shitty first seasons when he took over Man utd in the 80-ies. Key is consistency, whoever will manage Man UTD he needs time, at least few seasons before good results start to kick in. The club has money, reputation, fans all over the world...they just need a manager who will stay long enough to make a result, and then results will come, and they'll fight for every trophy.

The difference between Ole Gunnar and Ferguson is that the latter had built a basic squad and all signings were based on those 5 players.
This is why they didn't have so bad seasons such as Solskjaer.
Man Utd will need 3 -4 years to return back to the top standings but they need to start building the team based on 5 basic players in the line up with the one of them having a leadership role.

I think he’ll extend his contract at Juve if it’s for footballing reasons, I mean who wants to go to Spurs? If it’s for more money maybe he’ll move unless Juve don’t want him any more. If I was him I’d stay with Juve though.

Even as a Spurs fan I have to agree. Not much to look forward to at Spurs because of the level we are at now. Yes we are fun and exciting to watch but only when our attackers namely Kane and Son are both playing and fit. It is the rest of the team that is never really in tune. Mourinho remember actually loves to attack WHEN he has good attackers. Remember Real Madrid?

They won’t sack Ole yet, all of the top teams have lost at least one game. He’ll get a chance to sort it out but if there’s no progress this season he might get sacked.

maybe we will see Solskjaer being sacked, i read a rumour news if MU players want another coach to managed them. We all knows if Pochettino already linked with MU for a long time, but MU still not make a decision. Now Allegri being linked with MU. I know how Allegri become a good quality coach. He can bring AC Milan become Serie-A champions with ordinary squad with Milan. Also he can bring Juventus become a champions for few season, i think if this happens, MU maybe can compete for top 3 again.

Hmmm. Pochettino replacing Ole and managing would be interesting. Would be further interesting if he helps Man U thrash Spurs badly and help them get their revenge for 6-1 defeat. Pochettino is a good coach and I think he should come before all the candidates for the manager role.

I think Ole still got time but not much to correct things at United. Though I would love to see Pochettino to return managing one of the PL clubs.

Official news from Crystal Palace, they managed to bring in former Liverpol right-back Nathaniel Clyne on a free transfer. It looks like Crystal Palace will not give him a long contract. Currently Crystal Palace is in 12th place in the EPL, I am not sure that Nathaniel Clyne can bring Crystal Palace into the top ten. But I think it will add to their strength to fight in a long season.

Source: https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/2020/october/nathaniel-clyne-returns-to-crystal-palace-on-short-term-deal/

He used to be quite a good player, I think Brendan Rodgers was their manager at Liverpool then. I think he had a bad injury & that’s why he became out of favour at Liverpool. If he bas recovered from all the injuries he can 100% still do a good job for C Palace.

According to old rumors in these last 2 weeks, Dybala should extend his contract with Juventus, if you will not hear anything at the start of November then he will leave next summer.

He has a clause versus his personal manager for his image rights and the end should be soon and this should be the only reason why he can't extend his contract or he can't be sold, do you remember last year he was very close to Spurs but he got 30m € problem with his personal management and the deal has been erased.

There's a cheap news saying that Chelsea might watching dybala situation..  although i personally think that this transfer unlikely to happen. Chelsea have enough players in midfield and forward, unnecessary transfer though.
There's another strange random transfer rumor that Chelsea would like to trigger haaland release clause at Dortmund which recently fabrizio romano claimed it was not from him , the source are unknown.

Well we should stick to fabrizio romano , he is the one and only trusted source. And so far nothing sensational to announce regarding the future january transfer window.

Yes, it looks like this will be extended and will be processed by Juve and are preparing a new dybala contact that seems to have a longer duration.
And Dybala has again proven himself to be the backbone of a team that has made a significant contribution, although it is rumored that Dybala is in demand by Mnachester United and Spurs but Juve will still extend his contract for a longer period of time.

^ ^  Does anybody got stats on Pogba's performance with United over the years?  His form has been dipping year after year.

I don't think United should be going for a contract extension with him unless it's to turn him into a bargaining chip.  Lol.

Don't have proper stats but I know one thing for sure that he hasn't played much for United last season and this season he hasn't also started well so I would say feels like a player not committing properly towards team. And I don't see a reason of contract extension in his case.

You can check his stats here: https://www.premierleague.com/players/3920/Paul-Pogba/stats?co=1&se=-1

It's true that last season Pogba only played 16 times in the premier league, very different from the 2018/2019 season which played 35 appearances.
So from that his appearance seems to have decreased, and at least until the end of this year it can be an assessment of whether Pogba deserves to
renew his contract or not. But if we see Pogba's 3 appearances this season it is disappointing, by not contributing to the team, indeed, Pogba's
contact should not be extended.

That's a very possible scenario, just like the deal Manchester United gave to Edinson cavani, which imo, is quite too much for a player i consider to have gone past his peak/best and I don't know what else he can offer Manchester United.

There are alot of things he can offer. If you notice last season, Manchester United has been too reliant on Martial, Rashford and Greenwood . All other Club would have notice all their pattern by now and it is a good timing to bring in a new striker to add in some variances

^  Yeah so that means he's going for free next year.  I heard Barca's interested and so are PSG and Juve.  But I bet the other huge clubs like Real are also looking closely into it to see what develops.

Small chances to happen because Manchester United paid a huge amount to bring him into Old Trafford so They might want to squeeze some of their money back if any other Clubs are interested to sign him. One year contract perhaps to make him stay although he might be benched most of the time
