I was all amd I shifted to mostly nvidia

making 50 bucks a day  so every 14 days I pay off 1 1080ti

so far  3 1080 ti"s are paid for.

Not sure how long the roll will last  but just 28 more days means  5 1080 ti's will be paid for.

So a few of these MSI GTX 1080 TI AERO 11G OC GAMING https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1080-AERO-11G/dp/B06XXGNZB3 would be a fine setup or would getting a few more 470/80 be better long run do you guys think?

my guess is  if you have a lot of amd a few nvidia should be okay.

if you have  a lot of nvidia a few rx 470/480 should be okay

basically my guess is have a foot in both camps.
That is the way it was looking, a moved my budget from 2k to 3k and thinking I might double my setup count.  One AMD based possible with a mining OS as it has a fast ROI, and can do eth which I see is still holding strong.  The other nvidia, half for good resale should that be needed and half to put more hash rate coins they accelerate at mining.

This is likely a R.T.F.M. moment, but how do you get the power to be reported in the miner transcript?

for zec        --pec  in the start bat of ewbf for zec

Questions about Stratum Proxy

1. I am currently running 35 GPUs on 5 machines. All dual mining at nicehash with claymore. Would I benefit from setting up a stratum proxy?
2. I have 2 L3+s, pointed at zpool and nicehash. Would I benefit from a stratum proxy?

I think the main benefit with the L3+s Proxy would being able to switch pools without using the web interface which resets the machines and is a pain.

Anyone ever faced GPUs dying due to risers ?

Since a month, I had 3 GPUs died on two rigs. The two rigs are identicals.
I changed the PSUs and the GPU's after 2 death , and the only remaining parts were Mobos and risers.
And then the 3rd died.
So I think the risers could be the cause.

These are risers with PCI-e 6 pins power. (1 month old)
What is weird is everything is working perfectly, and some time I notice the rig is down, and after reboot I see one GPU not working (not recognised , no fan spin) ...

lower clocks  you dual mine if I recall  stop it on 1 rig  and see if the risers last.

the weird part of the story is that these 2 rigs are not dual mining.
And the clocks are not very high.. 1100/1880 and -100mv (for rx470s 4gb)
This is god settings, never got any trouble on others RIGs. Temps and fans are low.
The last GPU that died was 1 day old !
There is something really strange with the 2 rigs.. I have to find it, as it is a very expensive trouble.

2 questions

a. do you use custom roms for your 470?

b. what motherboard and using powered risers?

Yes custom roms , tested and approved on many rigs since 6 months without any trouble except the two rigs. I don't think the rom is the cause.

MB is H81 pro BTC for both, and all risers are powered by PCI-e 6 pins. (much better than SATA or Molex .... theorically ... as none of my GPUs ever died with the SATA and Molex ones ...)

my h81  had issues like yours  i believe  it was on power up  just like you said.

the mobo is in a box  It killed 2 psus

yeah the 1080 ti   can push 4 sols a watt

tdp or power can drop to 50%

once you go over  75%   the sols to watts  drop a lot

They all have different sweet spots..

I have

3 msi   1080 ti   aero       https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137115  my favorite one so far

3 zotac 1080 ti  founders  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500415   okay same as the pny
1 pny   1080 ti  founders  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133648
1 aorus 1080 ti  3 fan      https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125954   big card 3 slots wide

1 zotac 1080  mini    does 140 watts and 500h
1 asus  1070 strix     does 110 watts and 410h
1 msi    1070 gamer  does 110 watts and 410h

I have a msi 1060 3gb  gamer it was cheap it comes today https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137033 180 after rebate I had coupon so 170

Guys any suggestions on how to get more efficiency out of this 1080TI 11gb on EWBF?

drop power setting to 67 not 93

power 67%
core + 100   or stay at 130
ram + 300   or   stay at 250

fan 75%

you are are 72C  because  you have power at 93%  this is the single worse setting you have
