An equalizer by Reims at the Parc des Princes denies PSG a victory. Despite having all three stars, this PSG team looks like medicare. At the moment, PSG is struggling. When did they last win a big one? Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe played together to secure a draw against Reims. For PSG, Neymar scored, and for Reims, Balogun scored.

Psg got a really surprising result.  I honestly thought they would win this game by a big margin.  Their draw has been one of the most surprising results in recent weeks.  Despite being in a bad position in the league, Reims caused Psg to lose two points.  Psg is lucky as it's been an unlucky week for Lens.  Their leadership in the league is currently in jeopardy.  Now they have to win every game.
I can't believe the result. Folarin Balogun made an outstanding save when the match was only 40 seconds left. The result is definitely bad luck for PSG. Lens also suffered a draw and neither did Marseille. It seems that the current top position do not make any change at all in this week. PSG needs to work harder. It seems that players have lost all of their spirit after the World cup.
I can't say who was the luckiest this week. Because there is no change in the position of the standings as well as the distance between their points. If I say Paris Saint Germain is lucky because Lens can't win this week, and Lens is the same, they are lucky because Paris Saint Germain was thwarted by Reims, which in strength they should have been able to win. Likewise with Marseille and Monaco which have the same position that has not changed at all.
Paris Saint Germain looks unstable now, no matter how good the players they have, but when bad luck comes to them, The Parisian can't do anything.

Match between Nantes and Marseille, we should note that
Nantes has been Unbeatenn in their last eight Ligue 1 matches, an on form Marseille face a difficult looking away trip to the Stade de la Beaujoire to take on Nantes. Held to a 1:1 draw by rivals Monaco at the weekend, Marseille make the journey north still in fine spirits, with Les Phocéens picking up six wins and two draws during their current unbeaten run. However, they can expect a tough evening´s work with the home side, a tough team to beat in recent months, having lost only one of their last ten Ligue 1 games
A tough one to call with Nantes in strong home form and Marseille unbeaten in nine. I turn to the head to head  record for a little inspiration, learning and the goal statistics are certainly revealing. 12 of the last 15 games between these teams since 2016 saw BTTS, including five of the last six. Six of their last nine league meetings also saw over 2.5 goals scored. Ultimately, while I might not be five star confident about this pick, i do feel Both teams to score (BTTS) has a decent opportunity in a game that looks likely to be tight and competitive with a draw, also not to be ruled out.

PSG loosing previous match and drew the last game isn't a good one at all for a team where we have goal machines Lionel Messi, Mbappe and Neymar playing together, I don't know why the trio should find it this difficult to score goals.
Seriously PSG should be the most interesting team we should have in that Ligue 1. They're only using 3 points to gap Lens who is in the second position, where the margin should be something like 5 point and above base on the quality of players in there.

Yes, because if it's only competition in the local league, PSG still can't be consistent to achieve good results, then how can PSG be able to go further in the Champions League. Even though at this moment Bayern Munich also got situations and conditions that weren't good, but still, that doesn't mean PSG have to have the same situation.
So yes, PSG should be able to beat competing teams in Ligue 1 first, because if PSG are already very strong in Ligue 1 then at least PSG will be able to promise good results in the Champions League as well.

I wonder what Galtier did, why did he have to put Mbappe as a center forward while Mbappe is very suitable as a winger and he should have made Messi in that position. I think the draw that occurred between Reims was purely due to the failure of Galtier's strategy.
Could it be that the coach was experimenting something? He wants to discover a new way to play Neymar, Mbappe and Messi. But playing Mbappe in the middle is an error to me because he could be marked from the middle but could be unmarkable from the side because of his Pace and skills.
The coach should rather focus on stabilising the team for champions league rather than some experiments
I would say that as a striker Mbappe is a lot better because he is much better at scoring than others. Neymar is a winger, he is a  true winger and he has played at left wing for a long time now and he is great there, it's not as much as left wing but more like left striker, he is close to goal like a striker but clearly on the left side.

Messi is a guy who likes to have the ball earlier, he is not the guy who just taps the goal in, he can do that too and done it hundreds of times but he likes to get the ball and dribble with it, that means he is good either at 10, meaning behind the striker, or at right win. So that leaves Mbappe as the pure striker and he is great there.

The quality of the players that Paris Saint Germain has is far above the average players they have, they have a series of star names scattered in their squad, but they are not optimal to take advantage of their advantages. Maybe this is not a serious problem for them when they are in Ligue 1, but they will find it more difficult when they are in the Champions League. They are one of the teams who have big ambitions to win the Champions League, but I don't think they will be able to do that this season with what they are showing in the league.

It's been quite challenging for the teams at the top since the return from the Qatar FIFA world cup, and PSG isn't an exemption. Most clubs leading the top flight in the different leagues are having a hard time winning 3 to 5 consistent matches. The same effect reflects in Germany's Bundesliga's top standing, the same is also happening in Netherlands Eredivisie. I am not surprised at the PSG result cuz I know that many more title-leading clubs will be having defeats or draw, mostly from the teams that are either trying to fight their way out of the relegation zone or that are fighting their way into the top 4 standing.

Paris SG is, for many people, the sole ruler of the French league. I think so too. These results surprised me because they are an important team that has many of the most valuable players in their team after the world cup.  While they should have taken the top of the league alone, no one expected them to draw with Reims. Fortunately, the lucky ones, Marseille and Lens drew. There is still a difference of 3 points in the standings at the moment.

Reims goal was scored in the last minutes of the game.. PSG were able to resist until the final whistle but they failed. I agree for sure about the red card impact, they might be able to play better and added another goal but this is what happens when you score only 1 goal. You should resist until the end of the game and pray to not receive a surprising goal..
The gap between PSG and Lens remained 3 points. Awkward results for the 5 top teams in Ligue 1 this round Embarrassed
Reims have continued to improve since after the world cup. In ten games that have just lost one against Lens.  They have scored 22 goal and conceded just 5 goals since December. And the most interesting part of the club is that they are coached by Will Still a 30 years old Englishman. He is the youngest coach in Ligue 1 and he has proved that age is just a number. It is quite interesting that PSG is not having a free ride throughout the season, atleast let them work hard for the title. The French league needs more competition to make it more exciting. I saw the frustration on the face of Christophe Galtier, he needs to be careful when they meet Bayern Munich on February 14. His job depends more on the club's Champions League performance.

It's good that you paid attention to the person of the coach. This guy(Will Still) until recently mainly competed in the game Football Manager, of which he is a compulsive player. The Belgian-born Englishman took over from Stade Reims in October. Since then, they have taken it away from the relegation zone and have yet to lose a game. He had already competed with PSG while still interim coach and managed a goalless draw.
The 30-year-old does not yet have a UEFA Pro license, so for every game he manages, his club must pay a €25,000 fine. But Still says they've agreed that as long as he wins, bosses will invest in his development.
Interestingly, his two-years older brother, who also played FM addictively in the next room, is today the coach of KAS Eupen in the highest Belgian league.

 Grin

this is a very inspiring story, maybe the psg coach should go do the same thing that the reims coach did, but leaving jokes aside, this season psg is not doing well, people kept criticizing the pochettino because he always failed to make PSG champion of the champions league, it turns out that at that time messi hadn't arrived, but even so pochettino managed to make PSG always win the ligue1, but people couldn't look at that good side of the pochettino and that's why they were constantly criticizing him

I wonder if the same people who in the past were criticizing pochettino still think the same way today, the fact is that PSG has many players with great talent but they are not playing well in the last few games, so I even doubt that they will be able to go far in the champions league.

about Reims, I think they can go far if they manage to win the games, they have got a lot of draws, although it's better than defeats, these draws won't take them to be in the good places of the table

Balogun is deserve as man of the match today besides scoring goal in the last minutes which makes PSG failed to earn 3 points from this match he also performing well and during this match his movement is very difficult for PSG players to guard

Balogun's performance was good throughout the match. And he keeps Reims' attack strong. I don't think Reims players will play such an attacking strategy against PSG. Balogun and Flips performance in this match was excellent. Reims were lucky and their players were very confident in this match so they managed to get points in this match. At the same time, it has become riskier for PSG to hold the top spot in the points table.

Balogun performed very effectively in the first half.  In the second half, Psg was playing as if they could have won the match had Veratti not been out of the squad.  Hakimi's goal was also disallowed because it was offside.  In overtime, Balogun took the stage and earned 1 point for Reims.  Exciting final moments and Psg injured in championship again

This draw does not change the position of PSG, who are still at the top of the standings with 48 points. Meanwhile, Reims is in 11th place with 26 points. Despite playing at home to the opponent, Reims actually put up a fierce resistance to the hosts. I think by playing with 10 PSG players they will fail to get full points
Even though this is a draw for PSG, of course they will have tougher homework in the next game. Coach Galtier seems to be continuing to try to train his team so they can play better, I don't think this will be easy considering the competition with his closest team Lens is only 3 points away, so if PSG loses in the next match it could be an opportunity for Lens to equalize the number of points , but with the note that Lens must also be able to win in the next match.

To be honest, I didn't watch this fight all the way through, only until the first round.

IMO, there were several implementations of the Galtier strategy that didn't go well in that match. moreover, PSG's midfielders are less creative to help their front lines in terms of attack. proven, PSG had no chance in the first round and this is what makes me tired of watching it. if I review this match Galtier applies the 4-2-3-1 formation pattern, it seems Galtier likes to tinker with his formation. unfortunately, Galtier's formation didn't work well against Reims' 4-5-1 formation. in which, Reims tried to win the battle in midfield and tended to be more defensive. in the end, PSG always had trouble breaking through Reims' defense. in fact, the opposing team had several chances in the first half. but based on the depth and ability of the PSG players who were above their opponents, they were able to take the lead in the 51st minute. unfortunately, Verrati was given a red card and PSG played with 10 players. which in the end, PSG struggled to maintain their lead. As a result, the match ended in a draw.

This is a game they should have won completely
They are not just in unity
I was expecting nothing lesser than three goals from PSG should the assistant captain given to Mbappe be the problem

In fact, they were only able to score 1 goal in this match and even then the goals they created were paid for by Reims in the final minutes before the game ended. I also thought that Paris Saint-Germain would be able to score at least 2 goals in this match. Apart from all that, I am happy with this result, not because I don't like it, but it makes the competition more competitive.

Despite having experienced star players like Messi, Mbappe, Neymar and Ramos in the squad, PSG's performance is that of a mediocre team. I think there are two reasons for PSG's poor performance.
First of all their match strategy is not good. Secondly the chemistry between the players is not good. If the bonding between the players is good, the performance will be improved. At the same time, PSG's defense has weakened due to poor match strategy. Bonding between midfield and forward players is poor. Neymar and Mbappe do not have a friendly relationship. PSG's overall performance is poor because of such minor issues.
the performance in the PSG vs Reims match was fairly balanced if I paid attention, in fact in the early rounds Reims continued to press PSG's defense.
It's true, as we can see that Neymar, Mbappe and Messi have nothing special about their attacks, in fact I feel more great about what Folarin Bologun from Reims did, he often surprises PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma.
Christophe Galtier really needs to reconstruct his strategy and players to get even better, we know that chemistry or teamwork is key in the game of football.

After watching the PSG vs Reims match, I felt that PSG did not have a specific match strategy. no goal Players are playing as they wish. We saw a lot of wrong passes and wrong shots. And these are due to poor match strategy.
PSG have a strong squad. And if the coach is not able to perform well with this squad then it is the failure of the coach. The coach should develop a friendly relationship with the players and find out their problems. If the coach can't figure out the players' problems, he can't figure out the team's problems. If PSG's performance does not improve this season, PSG may change their coach again next season.
