Goal difference is important because PSG have so powerful attacking and if they won't end this season with less total points than Lens or any club, it is very difficult for other clubs to compare with them about goal difference to be a winner of Ligue 1.

I'm really happy to see the French league 1 in such a competitive state. The point closeness between the top 4 and other positions in the standing is quite impressive compared to other seasons where every other club below PSG has very little hope for the title. I'm more surprised about RC Lenz, 15 games unbeaten run has given them 44 points so far, and that's good enough to catch PSG off-guard in a slide chance.
